Engine Servicing /Gen overhauling :- (a) Checking the lubricant oil, topping up & changing filters if required (b) Checking the lubricant level and replacing if required (c) Checking of alternater, battery charging, fanbelt and adjusting/renewing if required (d) Checking/adjusting of sensers / controls of the Engine (e) Cleaning the cylinder head, lever, lube oil, gudgen pins etc (f) Draining fuel filter bowels to remove water/sediments and refixing with new gaskets after cleaning/ renewing the filters

(g) Checking and tightening all external fasteners and arresting all leakages by renewing deffective nuts bolts washers etc whereever required (h) Checking and arresting leakages by tightening all lube and fuel/ hose connections by renewing defective washers (i) Checking of air filters subject to 250 hrs running or six months whichever is earliest for renewal (j) Cleaning of air filter assembly (k) Renewal of all external rubber parts including radiator hose pipes, sir clips/clamps with nuts bolts etc (l) Arresting all water /lubricant/fuel leakages (m) Checking of all engine parameters and ensuring trouble free performance (n) Removing US spares and fixing of new spares including testing etc

Alternator Servicing :- (a) Checking lubricant in the bearings (b) Checking electrical excitation system and repairing if required (c) Checking alternator insulation values and tightning the electrical connections etc (d) Checking circuits of various connections (e) Cleaning the slip rings/brushes etc (f ) Removing US spares and fixing of new spares including testing etc

Note: (i) Spare parts shall be measured and paid separately under respective items as shown below. (ii) Labour charges for dismantling / Taking down and replacement /refixing of new spare parts as when required as deemed to be included in unit rate quoted. (iii) Labour charges for cleaning of inner and outer surfaces and all components with clean dry cloth deemed to be included in unit rate quoted. (iv) Rate including drain out of old unserviceble engine oil, coolant etc from DG set deemed to be included in quoted rate. (v) Charges for Major repairs / top overhauling of engine, rewinding of alternator, alternator major overhauling due to normal wear & tear will be out of scope of the work. However the damages caused due to negligence of the contractor will be made good without any extra cost by the contractor. M & L for repair and maintenance of unserviceable defective DG set stator assembly of alternator by carefully dismantling including transporting defective alternator to OEM authorized workshop at Port Blair ,strip opening of alternator ,take out burnt winding along with insulation material cleaning the stator and rotor assembly ,rewinding the stator with super enamelled copper winding wire of existing gauge and turns including providing proper mica insulation sheet, high grade varnishing, heating, overhauling of rotor assembly ,replacement of defective end bearings complete as required at site and refixing to its original position, connecting all cables and control wiring connections, testing and setting all parameters as specified by OEM and directed by Engr in Charge Note:- (i) Minimum 6 month warranty on rewinding shall be given . (ii) 12 Hrs testing after successfully repaired shall be carried out for 12 Hrs i.e. for (2 Hrs on 25%, 2 Hrs on 50%, 2 Hrs on 75% & 4 Hrs on 100 % Load) (iii) Quoted rate shall deemed to be inclusive of all nothing extra shall be paid.

Labour only for attending major breakdown in engine and alternator of DG sets of capacity varying from 10KVA to 600KVA (Standby DG sets only) from respective OEM with the help of service engineer and skilled technician and rectifying the fault by replacing minor spare parts which are not covered in general servicing and maintenence and testing complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge Note: (i) All the spare parts shall be measured and paid separately under respective items. (ii) Breakdown shall be attended and rectified within 15 days from the date of communication without fail.

Supply and Fixing in replacement pressure Fuel pipe assembly from FIP to injector for 600 KVA DG set (Make : Kirloskar) with necessary fixing arrangement complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.

Supply, laying or passing through pipe LT, XLPE insulated, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured electric power cable conforming to IS:7098 (Pt-I)-1988, heavy duty with stranded aluminium conductor 1100 Volts grade of size 150 Sqmm 3.5 core with necessary fixing arrangements such as lungs, glands and terminal etc including connecting/testing after taking out unserviceable LT UG cable from trenches/ pole complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: Excavation, earth work shall be measured and paid for separately.

Removing excavated material (soil) exc 50 m n.exc 250 m and depositing where as directed at a level n.exc 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for 80 mm dia galvanized iron tube light grade for cable protection, supporting to poles, plinth protections, road crossing, trenches, footpath etc including clamps, nut, bolt and washers etc after taking out unserviceable pipe complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying double wall corrugated pipe (DWC) conforming to IS 19430 Part - I of size 120 mm outer dia and 103.5 mm inner dia complete all as specified and as directed
