External painting works to BSNL Bhawan including compound wall at Port Blair in connection with VVIP visit

Wall painting with acrylic emulsion paint, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content less than 50 grams/ litre, of approved brand and manufacture, including applying additional coats wherever required, to achieve even shade and colour. (a) Two Coats

Applying priming coats with primer of approved brand and manufacture, having low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content. (a) With water thinnable cement primer on wall surface having VOC content less than 50 grams/litre.

Removing dry or oil bound distemper, water proofing cement paint and the like by scrapping, sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete.

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade : (a) One or more coats on old work.

Finishing walls with Premium Acrylic Smooth exterior paint with Silicone additives of required shade :

(a) Old work (Two or more coats applied @ 1.43 ltr/ 10 sqm) over existing cement paint surface.

(b) Old work (one or more coats applied @ 0.83 ltr/10 sqm).

Repairs to plaster of thickness 12 mm to 20 mm in patches of area 2.5 sq.meters and under, including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing and plastering the surface of the walls complete, including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-harge. (a) With cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand).

Repairs to the existing name board of size 14.50m X 1.25m X 0.25m made MS frame with MS angles and fixed to the building roof parapet at a height of 7.80 m above ground level. Repair includes lowering the name board to ground level with the help of mobile crane , replacing the wornout flex sheet with new flex sheet of approved quality with print " BSNL BHAWAN" in english and hindi language with BSNL emblum at centre in font and colour as approved. The flex sheet should be fixed with necessary screws tightly on the board without any wringles. After fixing the flex sheet, the board should be lifted with the help of mobile crane and to be fitted at the initial position with the available MS anchoring brackets with necessary manual labour and tools and plants and any MS angles nuts/bolts etc all complete and as directed by the Engineer In charge.

Making scaffolding with bamboo and ropes with good quality bamboo props with vertical spacing not more than 1.80 m c/c and horizontal spacing not more than 1.20 m c/c tying it with building at intermediate points and making arrangement to inspect the work by providing access platforms to work upto floor V level including removing the same after completion of work, taking all care against safety of work force as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.( Height and length of scaffolding to be measured)
