The diesel engine shall be of four-stroke, water-cooled, turbocharged, direct injection, developing 78 kW / 104 BHP at 1500 RPM under NTP conditions. It shall be of 4-cylinder vertical inline configuration with bore and stroke of 104 mm x 118 mm and a compression ratio of 16.5:1. | 1.10ACOUSTIC ENCLOSURE: The DG Set shall be housed in a factory-fabricated, weatherproof, powder-coated CRCA sheet acoustic enclosure, complying with CPCB-IV noise norms with noise level not exceeding 75 dBA at 1 meter distance under 75% load, as per ISO 8528. The enclosure shall be fabricated with suitable structural members and filled with acoustic insulation material to achieve the required attenuation. It shall be provided with ventilation louvers, inspection doors, lifting hooks, and integral base frame with antivibration mountings and built-in fuel tank of minimum 155 litres capacity, complete with fuel gauge, air vent, drain plug, and inlet/outlet pipe connections. CONTROL PANEL (WITHIN ENCLOSURE): The DG Set shall be provided with a factory-mounted standard control panel integrated inside the acoustic canopy, comprising microprocessor-based Engine Control Unit (ECU), make SEDEMAC GC1206, suitably rated 4P MCB (125 A), digital display unit, current transformers, indicating lamps, set running and load indications. The ECU shall display parameters such as generator output voltage, current (R, Y, B), frequency, kWh, oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level (%), engine RPM, battery voltage, and engine run hours. It shall provide alarms and safety shutdowns for conditions including high coolant temperature, low oil pressure, over-speed, engine common fault, water in fuel, and emergency stop. | ||||||||
| 1.20BATTERY SET: The DG Set shall be supplied with one number of 12V, 90 AH lead-acid battery, dry-charged, complete with battery leads, terminals, and interconnecting cables for electric starting of the engine. AMF PANEL (AUTOMATIC MAINS FAILURE PANEL): A separate floor-mounted AMF control panel shall be provided, fabricated from CRCA sheet steel with powder-coated finish and IP-42 protection, suitable for indoor installation. The panel shall be equipped with double contactors (one for DG and one for mains), voltmeters and ammeters with selector switches, digital energy meter, control relays, timers, pushbuttons, indicators, terminal blocks, and wiring for auto/manual changeover. The AMF panel shall ensure automatic start/stop of the DG Set in case of mains failure/restoration and include protections for under/over voltage, phase sequence, phase failure, and overcurrent. GENERAL TECHNICAL DATA: The DG Set shall have a rated capacity of 82.5 kVA, 3-phase, 415V, 50 Hz, 0.8 pf, with rated current of 115 Amps. It shall be capable of starting on 12V battery with fuel consumption of approximately 17–18 litres per hour at 75% load. Overall dimensions shall be approx. 3100 mm x 1300 mm x 1600 mm and weight shall be around 1650 kg. The complete system shall conform to ISO 8528, ISO 3046, and BS 5514, and be suitable for operation with diesel having specific gravity of 0.8355. The circuit breaker shall be 4-pole MCCB of 125 A rating with minimum 25 kA breaking capacity. | ||||||||
| 1.30SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of work shall include but not be limited to the following: 1. Supply, transportation, unloading and positioning of complete Diesel Generator Set with acoustic enclosure and all accessories at site, as per specifications. 2. Construction of PCC foundation/platform for DG set as per OEM-recommended drawing. The cost of foundation shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 3. Installation of DG set on PCC foundation including provision of anti-vibration mounting pads and proper alignment of engine and alternator. 4. Interconnection of DG set with the existing Load Distribution Panel (LDB) and AMF panel including all necessary , terminations, earthing, lugs, glands, cable trays/supports as required for complete functional integration. 5. First fill of consumables including lubricating oil, coolant, battery acid (if applicable), and initial diesel for testing shall be in the contractor’s scope. 6. Factory inspection of DG set and enclosure shall be carried out at the manufacturer’s works by the Representative of Accepting Officer / IEM, for which all coordination, inspection arrangement, communication, documentation, and associated expenditures shall be borne by the contractor. | ||||||||
| 1.407. Testing and commissioning of the complete DG set at site for minimum 12 continuous hours under 110 % full load conditions, including provision of fuel, load arrangements (including external load bank if required), measuring instruments, and technical manpower. All arrangements shall be made by the contractor without any extra payment. 8. Performance verification and functional testing of the installed DG set shall be carried out in the presence of the IEM / Representative of Accepting Officer, and all arrangements in this regard shall be the responsibility of the contractor. 9. Submission of documentation, including OEM factory test certificates, CPCB compliance certificate, warranty certificate, type test reports (if applicable), operation and maintenance manual, and as-built wiring diagrams and layout drawings in both hard and soft copies. 10.
