| 10.02<H>MICROTUNNELING WORKS FOR INSTALLATION OF 8.625"OD PIPELINE ACROSS BEKI RIVER:</> Complete work of the crossing (between the limits as defined in approved drawing) by Micro-tunneling Technique (as defined in scope of work) including all additional tunnelled/drilled lengths necessitated by Contractor's design of water crossings including "Receiving and taking over" owner supplied 3LPE coated line pipes from owner's designated places of issue/ dump site(s) and transportation to Contractor's stock yard/ work shop/ worksite including all handling, loading, unloading etc., supply of all materials as per the 'scope of supply' to worksite(s) including design & supply of Jacking pipe of suitable size (minimum 1200 mm ID) to accommodate the carrier pipe , 1 no. 20" OD HDPE pipe (for future use) and 1 no. 40mm OD HDPE ducts in the same tunnel, design & supply of supports for carrier pipe inside tunnel, supply of all consumables, manpower, equipment, other resources and acquiring the required land for storage, fabrication, string preparation, access for construction (other than owner provided ROU) etc. and execution of, but not limited to, following works in accordance with specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-charge and as per all provisions of Contract Document.,, Locating existing pipelines (if any) in the existing ROU corridor using Pipeline locator, marking the pipeline location, taking necessary safety precautions including providing warning signs, barricading, scaffolding etc. as per instructions of EIC for safeguarding the existing pipelines (if any).,, Geotechnical and Hydrological survey data is enclosed in bid document to the extent available. However, IOCL shall not be held responsible for the change of strata if found to be variable. Contractor/bidder shall carry out all other additional surveys, if required, for collecting data relevant to design & construction of crossing, engineering, preparation of all necessary construction drawings, procedures etc. duly approved by owner / concerned authority.,, Pre-construction survey, obtaining scour depth from concerned authority (if required), necessary cover required over the carrier pipeline from lowest bed level of the stipulated water crossing to be obtained from concerned authority, bed strata data including design & detail engineering and making of crossing drawing for getting their approval from IOCL/ Engineer-in-charge, getting work permit/ NOC for water crossings as well as utility crossings (if any) encountered during water crossing from respective IOCL/ Engineer-in-Charge prior to start of the execution of work.,, "Following data shall be obtained from concerned authority/ local sources to finalise scour depth :- (i) Past Historical flood level data indicating HFL to determine highest flood level. (ii) River flow data including velocity of water flow. (iii) Necessary information regarding type of soil and strata underneath the river bed.",, Strings preparation of pipes including stringing, welding, testing, 100 % radiography by X-ray, welding repair and retest, pre-installation hydrotesting (as required) as per approved procedure, cutting pipes to accomodate in shaft (as required), re-bevelling (if required), UT testing to check for lamination (as required by specification), re-welding, joint coating and repair of pipeline coating with repair patch or equivalent material (including supply of repair patch) as per specifications/approved drawings.,, Design & construction of Launching shaft of minimum inner diameter/width 7m, Receiving Shafts of minimum inner diameter/width 5m and Intermediate shaft (as required) including supply of all consumables, mobilisation of Microtunnelling machine of adequate capacity along with all accessories and approval of EIC, setting uo the machines, supply and installation of Intermediate Jacking Stations (as required), design and installation of jacking pipe of required size (minimum 1200 mm ID) below the river bed to the correct profile as per approved drawings & specifications by hydraulic operated slurry balance Micro tunnelling machine by Micro tunnelling technique and installation of carrier pipe inside jacking pipe as per approved procedure and as per EIC, grouting and all other anciliary and auxilliary works not specifically mentioned, design, fabrication and Installation of supports for carrier pipe and HDPE ducts inside jacking pipe so as to avoid any coating damage during pipe insertion. Minimum cover over top of the jacking pipe (RCC casing pipe) at all points across the maximum possible width of water bed (bank to bank as per drawing) shall be minimum 3 mtrs below the predicted scour profile expected during the life time of the pipeline or minimum 6m below lowest bed level or the actual depth as decided by IOCL / Engineer-in-charge or as per approved crossing drawing whichever is more,, Pigging, cleaning, gauging, Post installation hydrotest including (LR bends, 12m straight pipe and IJs) detection of leaks; repair of defects and retesting, etc. for defects attributed to Contractor's faulty works, dewatering and swabbing etc. as per specification, codes, approved drawings, calculations, methods and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.,, Taking out the carrier pipe and HDPE ducts from the shaft including transportation, handling and installation of LR bends to bring pipe to a level of approx. 1.5m from NGL, coating of bends (as required) and laying of pipeline for at least 12 m straight length after the bend, tie-in at both banks of river with pipeline / piping installed by others including cutting, re-beveling as required, welding, radiography and other NDT examination, joint coating as per specification including alignment, fit-up, repair of defects and other ancillary and auxilliary work as required for completion of work as per technical specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-charge.,, Capping of Jacking pipe/tunnel, backfilling and sealing of the shaft including supply of consumables as required; supply, fabrication and construction of protective fencing as required,, Re-storation & clean-up to original condition duly accepted by Competent Authority and getting NOC from IOCL/ Engineer-in-Charge,, Reconciliation of free issue material, transporatation of balance free issue material to Client's designated storage yard.,, Preparation and submission of as built drawings & other records, etc. duly approved by Owner.,, All other works not specifically listed herein, but required as per specifications, drawings, provision of contract document, calculations and construction method statements for successful completion of works, complete in all respect as per scope of work document for the following ,, | |||||||
| 10.03 | All works as per above for installation of carrier pipeline of size 8.625"OD x 0.375" WT of API 5L Grade X-52/other grade provided by Owner, 1 no. 20" OD HDPE pipe (for future use of min Grade PE 100 & Ra ting PN 6 or above as per IS code 4984) and 1 no. 40mm OD HDPE ducts by Microtunneling technique across Beki river at Ch. 119.7 Km (approx.),, "Notes: (i) The quantity mentioned above (430 m) shall mean the length of Tunnel excluding Launching and Receiving shaft diameter/width but including the length installed in the intermediate shaft; However, contractor to note that all assosciated works including construction of Launching & Receiving shaft, as mentioned in item description above, shall be carried out under this item only. <H>PIPE RETRIEVAL:</> Retrieval of cross country mild steel pipeline section by excavation up to bottom level of pipe which is normally at 1.5 to 2 m depth, by cutting at every 10 to 12 meters by suitable safe method as approved by EIC / Site Engineer (pipe to be cut near to old girth weld of pipe and at some places cutting may be required at lesser length as per site requirement), removal of pipes from trench, loading, unloading and transportation to owner's installation with all labours, vehicles, tools and tackles, equipment as directed by EIC / Site Engineer including backfilling of excavated trench with excavated earth along with additional appropriate quantity of soil (to be arranged by the contractor) after removal of pipe, compacting the backfilled earth and restoring to original level and condition.

<H>TRANSITION PIPE LAYING:</> #Laying of Owner-supplied pre-coated mild steel line pipes, including arranging all additional land/construction corridor, beyond Owner's ROW, required for Contractor's storage, fabrication, access for construction site, movement of construction equipment etc., receiving and taking over Owner-supplied materials, handling, transportation etc. from Owner's issue point to work site, stringing along Right of Way (ROW)/ pipeline corridor, providing labour, equipment and supply of other inputs & materials/ consumables necessary to perform and complete the work in all respects in accordance with the contract including, but not limited to, the following works:#Taking delivery and transportation of Owner-supplied coated pipes to the work site from designated Stockpile location, inspection of the coated pipes visually and with holiday detector for defects, arranging all necessary intermediate storage area required thereof till the pipes are installed in permanent position;#Clearing and grading of ROW/ pipeline corridor, cutting of trees, vegetation etc. including keeping record of trees cut, including de-watering etc.;#Stringing of pipes along ROW including providing straw bags/ soft padding below pipe;#Trenching to all depths to maintain clear earth cover as per specification and to fit minimum bend radius, by excavation in all kinds of terrain & soil, including stripping top soil to a depth of 30cm to the full anticipated width of the ditch and storing this material separately along the ROW to allow re-depositing of the same on top of the backfilled ditch (in cultivable and other areas specially designated by Owner);#Carrying out repair of pipe & coating defects for defects occurring after "taking over" of pipes from Owner, replacement in the case of non-repairable defects and repairing damages to pipe coating including defects/ damages occurring during transportation & handling;#Carrying out 100% radiographic inspection (by X-Ray) of all field weld joints as per Specifications and Special Conditions of Contract (SCC) and destructive testing of one weld joint as per specification and direction of Site Engineer, including providing Crawler type Automatic X-Ray machine and/ or external X-Ray machine and all other requisite equipment, labour, supervision, materials, approved films, approved consumables, all facilities and personnel to process, develop, examine and interpret radiographs (by qualified and experienced Radiography Inspector), providing all facilities to Owner's representative(s) for examining radiographs and other tests as required, carrying out repair of weld-joints found defective, carrying out re-radiography and other tests as required on repaired joints, etc.;#Carrying out coating of all field weld joints, by specified coating insulators, including supply of approved joint coating materials, providing all equipment, materials and consumables necessary to carry out the job as per manufacturer's recommendation;#Carrying out holiday detection at specified voltage level corresponding .......Continued
".....in Continuation of previous.... to coating type as per specifications, and repair of coating, if any;#Laying pipeline by open-cut method at crossings viz., cart-track, village road, metalled/ un-metalled roads, minor water courses (MWC) and restoration of the site to original condition;#Lowering the pipeline in trench, tieing-in, backfilling with excavated earth and/or other suitable soil (top soil stored separately during trenching shall be backfilled on top of the ditch) as directed by Site-Engineer;#Carrying out air cleaning, gauge pigging and hydrostatic testing (to specified pressure) of the complete pipeline including providing pre-testing of designated sections as approved by Engineer-in-Charge, providing all equipment, pumps, fittings, instruments, dead weight tester etc. and services, supervision, labour, consumables, testing of water, supply & injection of corrosion inhibitor, locating leaks, if any, and rectification of defects attributable to Contractor, re-testing after rectification etc. and cleaning the pipeline section after successful hydrotesting;#All tie-ins, including tieing-in with Micro-tunnelling section;#Obtaining work permits/ NOC from various authorities, having jurisdiction, before execution of work and complying with all stipulations/ conditions/ recommendation of the authorities;#Final clean-up and restoration of ROW/ construction corridor, field bunds etc. and obtaining NOC from statutory authorities (as required), and obtaining NOC from respective landowners in respect of final restoration of their land etc., disposal of debris and returning surplus material to designated disposal areas/ storage location, as directed by Engineer-in-Charge, restoration of land, facilities and boundary wall etc. for facilities dismantled/ damaged by Contractor during construction;#Preparation of As-Built drawings, Pipe book and other records as per specifications etc.;#Supply of all materials (other than those specifically undertaken to be supplied by the Owner under the contract);#All other acts, deeds, matters and things necessary to make the pipeline ready for commissioning and completing the works in all respects as per drawings, specifications and instructions of Site Engineer/ Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Liability of Owner to provide ROW to contractor shall be limited to the extent between the hook-up points with existing pipeline including for laying transition pipeline section. Additional space required by contractor beyond the above limits, including for access to site, shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost & initiative. Payment under this item shall be made only for the transition pipe laid more than 12 m length on both sides. Transition Pipe laying upto 12 m length on both sides is included in the SOR item for Tie-In and Hook up."

<H>FABRICATION OF HOT PULL INDUCTION BENDS:</> Taking delivery and transportation of bare pipes from owner's stockpile, transportation, unloading the pipes at manufacturer's works and fabrication of Long Radius (R=6D) Hot pulled induction bends having tangent length of approximately 1000m at both ends as per specification and delivery of hot pulled bends to site including visual examination, manual U.T. on the entire weld seam, bevelling of ends as per API 5L, supply of all materials, consumables, labour etc. as per specifications and direction of Site Engineer / Engineer-in-Charge.
CP WORKS- BEKI RIVER MICROTUNNELLING
Test Lead Point : Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of Test Lead Point (TLP) fabricated MS Sheet with hinged front door, Heavy Guage MS pipe 100 mm nominal diameter, Phenolic laminated terminal plate, brass terminal bolts, neoprene gasket for front door, vandal proof concealed lock, etc as per latest revision of Standard AFC drawing (9200-99900-404-603-00 : STD-483). The work includes providing requisite concrete foundation of 600 mm x 600 mm x 800 mm at site, including MS hard pipe for cable entry through foundation, erection of the TLP over concrete foundation, supply & termination of cables to the brass terminal bolts inside TLP box, jointing the cables to pipe (using cad welding/ pin brazing technique), repairing the damage to coat & wrap (with coating repair etc.), back filling the trenches, cleaning the site, applying epoxy paint / powder coating etc. The work also includes supply, installation, laying & termination of all XLPE, Cu cables of required length (as per site conditions) and size, lugs etc. The work includes supply and fixing of a non-corrosive name plate containing the details like KM location, identification, TLP No., direction of flow, connection scheme, type etc., on the side of the TLP box, etc. The name plate shall also include the details of corrosion coupon wherever installed, all as per the direction and specification detailed in the document complete with tools, tackles & other necessary requirement. The work complete in all respects including all materials, tools, tackles, labour as per tender specifications, AFC drawings & directions of the Site Engineer/Engineer-In-Charge. Type A (With Ingress Protection IP:55)
Magnesium Anode : Supply, Installation , testing and commisioning of Magnesium anode (minimum 5 Kg each) including its tail cable o f size of 1c x 10 sq.mm. XLPE/ PVC insulated stranded copper cable of total length 10 meter including PVC cap, special back-fill mat erial ( filled in cotton sack) with sealing compound complete in all respect including its excavations, back filling etc. as per spe cifications and drawings.
