Earth work in excavation in foundations, trenches, etc.in all kinds of soils, not exceeding 2 metres depth including dressing of bottom and sides of trenches, stacking the excavated soil, clear from the edge of excavation and subsequent filling around masonry, in 15 cm layers with compaction, including disposal of all surplus soil, as directed within a lead of 30 metres (HSR 6.6)

Dismantling Brick Work, Tile Masonry or Tile Lining and Tile Terracing (HSR 8.5(b)) in cement

Cement Concrete 1:4:8 with brick ballast 40mm nominal size in foundation and plinth.(HSR 10.36)

Cement concrete 1:2:4 with stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size for reinforced concrete work in slabs with inclination not exceeding 25 degree with horizontal, excluding steel reinforcement, but including centring and shuttering, laid in position complete in all respects.(HSR 10.82)

Cement Concrete 1:2:4 with stone aggregate 20mm nominal size in foundation and plinth. (HSR 10.41)

First class brick laid in cement sand mortar 1:4 in foundation and plinth (HSR 11.4)

First class brickwork laid in cement sand mortar 1:4 in first storey upto 4 meters above plinth level. (HSR 11.9)

First class brickwork laid in cement sand mortar 1:3 in first storey upto 4 meters above plinth level. (HSR 11.10)

Extra for making tapered surface of brick masonry. (HSR 11.99)

Cement pointing 1:2 deep variety on brick and tile work. (HSR 15.60)

Fe-500 EQR/TMT steel bars for R.C.C. works, where not included in the complete rate of R.C.C. including bending, binding and placing in position complete in all respect. Note: - Reinforcement shall be measured in length including hooks, if any, separately for different diameters as actually used in work, excluding overlaps. From the length so measured, the weight of reinforcement shall be calculated in tones on the basis of IS : 1732. Wastage, overlaps, coupling, welded joints space bars, chairs, stay, hangers and annealed steel wire or other methods for binding and placing, shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates for reinforcement)(NS).

Making and filling expansion joints, with bituminous filler (bitumen 40 percent, asbestos 5 percent and sand 55 percent), 12 mm wide (HSR 24.34)

i) Brick Bats @ 450 per cum Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling / scarifying of existing bituminous crust have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled / scarified material can be issued for use in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) on approval from the employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. The material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency. However, the reserve price is as under :-.

ii) Good Bricks@Rs. 5/-Each Note :- All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual scarifying and if material after scarifying is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser than reserve price. Note:- In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR items depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR. the unit and nomenclature given in HSR Shall be applicable. ii) In case of any difference in the unit of any Non- schedule items depicted in this DNIT and the Conventional unit of that N.S Item as per practice in this department the conventional unit as per practice shall be applicable.
