Strengthening of the road from MRL 09 Parakuntu Chani Manapalanchi Thottachani Chezhuvenchery Vadaserikalai Karunakuzhi Chezhuvenchery Eanthikalai Road Km 2/570-4/9000, 4/915-5/585

Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting wild vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees of girth upto 300 mm, removal of stumps of such trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, upto a lead of 1000 m including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150 mm in thickness as per Technical Specification Clause 201.

Scarifying the existing bituminous road surface to a depth of 150 mm and disposal of scarified material with a lift upto 3 m and lead upto 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 301.4.

Excavation for roadwork in soil with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cum bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross-sections, and transporting to the embankment location with a lift upto 1.5 m and lead upto 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 302.3

Construction of embankment using tractor with grader with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 (Filling with Cut Earth)

Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits with a lift upto 1.5 m, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 with a lead upto 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 (Carted Earth)

Construction of embankment with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 (Gravel shoulder)

Construction of Granular sub-base by providing well graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with three wheel 80-100 kN static roller capacity to achieve the desired density, complete as per Technical Specification Clause 401 Grading I

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to Wet mix macadam specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub base/base course on a well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density

Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion (SS-1) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70-1.0 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per Technical Specification Clause 502

Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.25 to 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared granular surface treated with Primer cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503.

Mix Seal Surfacing Using Waste Plastic:- Providing, laying and rolling of close-graded premix surfacing material of 25 mm thickness composed of 11.2 mm to 0.9 mm (Type-A) or 13.2 mm to 0.9 mm (Type-B) aggregates using penetration grade bitumen to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 8-10 kN static roller and finishing to required level and grades as per Technical Specification Clause 510

Provision of Rumble Strips with premix Bituminous carpet Provision of 15 nos. rumble strips covered with premix bituminous carpet, 15-20mm high at centre, 250mm wide placed at 1m centre-to-centre approved locations to control speed, marked with while strips of road marking paint. Rumble Strips = 3 X 3.75 X 0.25 = 2.81

Road Marking With Hot Applied Thermoplastic Compound With reflectorising Glass Beads on Bituminous Surface:- Providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.50mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5 mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC:35, The finished surface to be level uniform and free from streaks and holes etc complete as per MORTH&H specification No.803
