| 3 | (i)Cropping and renewal of damaged, wasted, corroded, or deformed steel structures including underwater hull plates, deck plates, brackets, angles, stiffeners, internal tank plating, FENDERS and associated structural members shall be carried out as required based on ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM), close-up inspection, and test reports.
(ii) All steel plates, sections, pipes, and other materials used for repair/replacement shall be of approved marine grade and supported with original class certificates. In absence of original certificates, check testing of materials shall be carried out.
(iii) All structural repair and welding works shall be carried out in accordance with approved marine engineering practices and IRS requirements using IRS-approved qualified welders.
(iv) Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of welded joints and repaired structures, including Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) as applicable, shall be carried out through an IRS-approved agency as required and as directed by the EIC/Surveyor. | 1,587 | Kg | - | - |
| 4 | The underwater hull plates and side plates shall be thoroughly scraped, chipped, wire-brushed, and water-jet cleaned from keel level up to the Load Water Line (LWL) to remove all fouling, rust, and old paint, making the surfaces suitable for inspection and painting. | 7(i)Fabrication of marine-grade mosquito-proof arrangements for the crew accommodation, including one (01) mosquito-net door for the crew room and mosquito-proof screens/wooden-framed SS or fiberglass mesh or magnetic mosquito curtains for all accommodation windows. The work shall include all frames, hinges, handles, locking arrangements, fasteners, sealants, finishing, and allied accessories, complete in all respects, ensuring proper fitment, durability, and effective insect protection(ii)Installation of cloth curtain in door and windows with corrosion-resistant curtain rods/tracks, brackets, hooks, fasteners, and all necessary accessories (iii)Manufacturing of (A)one (01) seating bench, (B) one (01) cupboard/almirah, (C) one (01) portable wooden bench, and (D) one (01) single wooden battery box. All items shall be fabricated from seasoned hardwood and/or BWP-grade marine plywood of approved dimensions with laminated finish, complete with corrosion-resistant stainless-steel hinges, handles, locks, fasteners, edge beading, and all necessary hardware.
