9. Strengthening and widening of Karchham Sangla Chhitkul road Km. 0.00 to 18.00 Sub Head Improvement widening of road metalling and tarring BM. BC construction of V. shape drain providing and fixing road side furniture and edge line construction

Cutting in earth work in all depths and heights in all kinds of soils including saturated soil comprising of pick work, jumper work and blasting work both in soft and hard rock with chiselling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) or their intermediate classification of soil including dewatering wherever required, setting out to the required lines grades, side slopes, trimming of bottom and levels as shown on the drawing and as directed by by the Engineer-in-charge at site according to the HPPWD specifiocation of 1990 volume-1 and sorting of useful and unuseful materials and stacking the useful material along road side which shall not be less than 1503.96 cubic metre failing which recovery @ Rs. 300/- per cubic metre shall be effected and transportation of the un useful material for filling in roadway embankements for grade improvement and level to required grades and then disposing off all surplus excavated material in acquired width of the road or on approved dumping site through all modes of transportations including head load, animal loads or mechanical means along with its levelling and fine dressing and carriage of all labour machinery, materials, tools, equipments and safety measured and other incidentals necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and or labour (if any required complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge). Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution and transportation of useful and un useful materials shall be absolute responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be dully compensated by him to full extent complete in all respects and in all cases. (As per MORTH specification).

Earth work in excavation for structures in all depths as per drawings and MORTH specificationfor Clause 304 specifications (latest edition) including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal in all leads and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated Suitable materials. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades, side slopes, width, camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unserviceable cut materials in specified manner trimming filling of unevenness blind edge and finishing of the road to specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other causes it shall be removed by suitable diversion bailing out or dewatering as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost in all cases. (As per MORTH specification).

Providing and laying Mechanically mixed and vibrated Plain/Reinforced Cement Concrete M-15 (fifteen) nominal mix 1:1:5:3 (one cement:one & half sand: three graded stone aggregate 20mm (twenty millimeter) nominal size with for plain concrete in open foundation/sub structure (Up to 5 mtr height) complete as per drawings and as per MORTH specification clauses 1500, 1700 & 2100 and curing complete including the cost of form work, hauling of materials in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying Mechanically mixed and vibrated Plain/Reinforced Cement Concrete M-20 (twenty) nominal mix 1:2:4 (one cement :two sand: four graded stone aggregate 20mm (twenty millimeter) nominal size with for plain concrete in open foundation complete as per MORTH specification clauses 1500, 1700 & 2100 and curing complete including the cost of form work, hauling of materials in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Loosening of the ground upto a level of 500 mm (five hundred millimeter) below the sub-grade level, watered, graded and compacted in layers to meet requirement of table 300-2, for sub-grade construction and as per MORTH specificationclause 305.3.4 including hauling of materials in all leads and lifts and as per entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes Grade-I (90-45mm) to water bound macadam specification by mechanical means including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with smooth wheel roller 80-100 kN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening/binding materials to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density grading 1 as per Technical Specification Clause 405 including hauling of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density as per MORTH specification 406 including hauling of materials in all leads and lifts and as per entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge

Providing and applying primer coat with modified bitumen emulsion (SS-I) on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.60 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per MORTH specificationclause 502 including hauling of materials in all leads and lifts and as per entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge

Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion (RS-I) (rapid setting -I) using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.20 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous/granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom as per MORTH specificationclause 503 incluing hauling of materials in all leads and lifts and as per entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge

Providing and laying 50mm (fifty millimetre) compacted thick bituminous macadam with aggregate of grading-II, 19 (nineteen) millimetre nominal size, using bitumen VG-10 grade, minimum 3.3% (three point three percent) of weight of mix on thoroughly cleaned surface, free from pot holes and cracks by mechanical broom and dust removed by compressed air, mixed in batch mix/ computerised Hot mix plant of 100-120 TPH capacity calibrated from time to time mixing to bituminous concrete as per approved job mix formula from approved laboratory, transporting the mix material in clean insulated vehicles covered while in transit or awaiting, tipping and laying with sensor paver finisher to the required level and grade, rolling with power road roller to achieve the desired density complete including profile correction layer and patching of pot holes, with in all leads and lifts including carriage of materials, plants and equipment by mechanical transport, conforming to clause 504 of MORTH specification for road and bridge work as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. The rate is inclusive of profile correction and patching of pot holes. (Nothing extra shall be paid for higher content of bitumen required as per job mix formula.)
