SCHEDULE A PART-I : BLDG WORK Surface Excavation not exceeding 30 cm deep and average n.exc 15cm depth in any type of soil to get the formation uniform level including dressing, watering and well ramming / rolling in requisite size and shape. Note : Before commencement of the work, the initial level with total station shall be carried out by the contractor with consultation with the Engr-in-Charge/JE wrt decided bench mark and After completing the earthwork, the final level shall be submitted alongwith calculation details in Simson’s rule by the contractor which shall be checked by EIC/JE before carrying out the payment. The rate quoted deemed to be included. No extra payment shall be made separately on this account. All work shall be executed based on Arch & Str drg which are enclosed with tender documents.

Note: Excavated soil is used for filling

Bringing out of approved earth incl rough excavation upto requisite depth and returning filling under the floor (as approved by Garrison Engineer) from sources outside defence land including all costs such as royalty if any transportation taxes etc. for area filling / forming including raising earth spreading in layers not exc 30 cm thick each layer, watering, compaction with 8 tonne to 12 tonne with power roller & well ramming under the floor and finished to required size and shape etc, any high / depth from requisite level. Notes:- (i) Earth required for the item shall be supplied by contractor out side MOD land of any lead at his own arrangement. (ii) Allcost of procurement of earth including cost of transportation, compaction, royalties, tax etc. shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) with reference to clause 3.6of MES schedule Part-II on serial page No- 21 it is clarified that measurement of the above item shall be finished after calculated and 10% deduction shall be made from measured and calculated volume to allow for increase in bulk. Therefore, it is advised to quoted the rate considering availability of soil and its lead involved.
