Provision of New Earth pit for Electrical sub-station inside factory (As per MES SSR 2020)

Rough Excavation in ground not exceeding 1.5mtr deep & getting out in hard dence soil , at any place and height

Rough Excavation in ground not exceeding 1.5mtr deep & getting out in soft disintegrated rock, at any place and height .

Returning filling in including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm, at any place and height

M & L for Earthing complete with copper earth plate 60×60cm ×3.15mm thick electrode and 20×3mm copper strip as earthing lead , buried directly in ground( Earth pit not less than 2.25 meters deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 meters below normal ground level, connected to galvanized iron or steel nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers as shown in Electrical plate No.3 of SSR 2020 connected to earthing test point all by using copper strip 20 x 3.15 mm with saddles and fixing screws etc. as a earth lead as specified or indicating including testing for max earth resistance of 03 ohms and max earth lead strip length of 7.5 meters long from earth pit to connection all inclusive.

S & F of 40 mm dia medium grade GI pipe for cable protection, at any place and height .

Supply & fixing of Earthing test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x 25 mm, drilled and screwed including 3 Nos., 8 mm dia 25 mm long hex. Head screws, at any place and height.

Supply & fixing of Earth continuity copper strip fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required, copper strip size 20mm x 3mm.

M & L of Cement Concrete in foundations, fillings, mass concrete work for chamber with cover for Earth pits of size 60×60×20cm as per type B2 1:2:4 (40 mm graded aggregate)

S & F of Earth Pit Marker marked on rectangular plate welded GI Plate 450 mm X 450 mm size & 19mm thickness L shaped angle of length 24", and Eath pit no. ER value and date of checking, Next due date to be mentioned on the plate with yellow/black colour at any place and height .
