Soil investigation for Provision of Auxiliary Machinery Shop at NSRY (PBR)

1. M & L for carrying out the soil investigation in respect of the soil investigation to cover field and laboratory studies includes:- Mobilisation of plants and equipement including man and materials as required at site of soil investigation setting of boring / drilling as required, Shifting the entire arrangement from one bore hole to another bore hole location and setting of boring/drilling as required and de-moblisation of plants and equipement on completion of work at site complete (which includes conveyance of sample collected to testing lab as required for the purpose of testing:- JOB 01. (02) Boring 150 mm dia bore holes to any depth through following type of strata : - (i) Any type of soil RM 11, (ii) Soft rock RM 03, (iii) Hard rock RM 01. (03) Collection of undisturbed soil sample at 3M intervals or at any change of strata in 100mm bore thin walled tube including waxing, sealing, packing, transporting to the lab:- Each 05. (04) Carrying out standard penetration test (SPT) as per IS 2131 including collection of disturbed soil samples in bore holes at every 1.5 M depth or at any change of strata and submit the report with all requisite data :- Each 10. (05) Conducting necessary tests on all collected samples which includes the determination of:- Each 01 :- (i) Atterberg limits (ii) Natural Moisture content (iii) Wet and dry density (iv) Soil / Particle size using seive / hydro-meter analysis (v) Triaxial shear test C & O determination (vi) Shrinkage Limit (vii) Consolidation test (viii) Specific gravity test for sand/rock (ix) Crushing strength of rock sample. (x) Permeability test. (xi) Testing of water sample (02 sample). (xii) Free swelling index (xiii) Soluble salt content (Chloride & Sulphate). (06) Excavation of trial pit upto 3.0m depth havingh size 1.2mx1.2m for collecting UDS sample including the test to be conducted JOB 01. (07) Complilation of data and submission of report in 4 copies containing NSBC, SBC, Settlement test results, graphs, charts, calculation etc. and recommendation for foundation as required JOB 01. Note:- (a) Quoted rate for Sl No 02 should include GST for Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
