REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF DG SETS AND ITS ALLIEDSERVICES OF OUTPOCKETS UNDER GE DINJAN

Servicing of diesel engine generating set of various capacity 25 to 50 KVA of Make:- Kirloskar/Ruston/HA, 1500 RPM Air cooled/Water cooled consisting of works as follows: (a) Dismantling the engine parts/components as required and cleaning thoroughly by degreasing and de-carbonising all the rotary and static parts (b) Checking of all rotary and static parts of engine and adjust/repair the defects as required for satisfactory running of DG set. (c) Cleaning and refitting the air cleaner. (d) Cleaning of fuel filter assembly and replacement of filter element along with rubber 'O' ring. (e) Replacement of 'V' belt for driving radiator fan/ water Pump/Battery charger alternator with proper adjustment. Repair to nozzle by replacement of plunger & spring valves. (f) Replacement of high pressure stainless steel tubing not less than 1 m length from FIP to nozzle Benjoo bolts, copper washer nuts and bolts, clamp and upper gasket kit with new one. (g) Replacement of oil filter elements including checking of serviceability of lubricants oil pump and repair where necessary for proper oil pressure. (h) Drain out the lub oil and refill new oil after proper cleaning. (j) Checking and adjustment of tappet clearance. (k) Removing all fuel injector for testing and fit reconditioned unit or replace as required. (l) Testing of DG set after servicing as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge for satisfactory perfirmance. Note :- (i) Replacement of old parts with new parts shall be measured and paid separately as Supply only under respective items of this Schdule. (ii) DHPP and lubricating oil required for servicing and testing will be supplied by the Department under sch 'B' for free for filling.

Top Overhauling of engine of DG set, capacity 25 to 50 KVA, 1500 RPM water cooled/air cooled type, 2/3/4/6 cylinder inline engine of Make : Ruston/Kirloskar/HA consisting of the following works :- (a) Dismantling engine parts in presence of MES representative and display all the parts/components of engine for inspection of Engineer-in-charge to asertain the serviceability of existing parts. (b) Detecting leakage of lubricating oil and water of the engine and rectification of fault by replacing worn out parts. (c) Replacement of gasket, repair the head assembly by adjusting valves & replacement of worn out components after dismantling. (d) Taking out old unserviceable/ leakage radiator from the engine and making servicable and refixing as per existing complete. (e) De-carbonising and degreasing of all the parts such as piston assembly, heads, crank case, crank shaft, oil pump etc and checking of all rotary and static parts (existing) for smooth functioning. (f) Assembling of engine complete with old serviceable parts and replacement of unserviceable parts by new parts as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (g) Replacement of water pump assembly with water pump repair Kit including bearing, Con rod, Piston pins, piston rings , cam shaft bush . (h) Testing of DG set after repair as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Parts required to be replaced during overhauling/repair of engine shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate items as 'Supply only'. (ii) Any machine work to the existing parts which is felt essential for smooth functioning of DG set shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item. (iii) Any minor parts such as screw, washer, split ring, circlips etc shall be supplied by the Contractor and rate for the same shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (iv) Fuel and lub oil for testing of DG set after repair and also when necessary shall be supplied by the department under Sch 'B' as 'Free for filling'.

Repair to alternator (Dynamo) 12 volt of any make and type by replacing all worn out parts including taking out from the engine and refix the same in position complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in replacement of silencer complete with fixing clamp as per existing make and model complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in replacement of connecting Rod for Ruston/ Kirloskar engine complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in replacement of voltmeter 0-500 volts, 3 phase (Make : AE/L&T/ESSMA) square type (SR-144) complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in replacement of ampere meter 0 to 60 Amp of Make : ESSM/AE/L&T (SR 144) complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in replacement of PVC flexible pipe 15mm bore with fixing clamps complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for rewiring to panel board of DG set 25 KVA to 50 KVA with PVC insulated, multistranded copper conductor, cables, single core, 1100 volt grade, 10 Sqmm complete with thimble/lugs as required complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per item No. 54 here-in-above but capacity 12.5 KVA to 15 KVA.

S&F for asbestos rope 1/2" size and steel wire mess and wrapped all around the silencer pipe over a layer of plaster of paris with proper fixing materials superior quality as required complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in replacement of rubber coupling including nuts & bolts and connecting plate key complete as per existing make and model complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and install battery charger 12/24 volt suitable for 180 AH Amps battery complete all as specified and directed. Make : IRI or equivalent as approved

Taking down old/unserviceable armature of alternator of DG set, capacity 25 KVA to 50 KVA from the engine, rewinding the armature with the best quality super enamelled copper wires as per existing gauge of weight 20 kg (Appx) including insulation materials, tape, varnishing, heating the same upto rated tempaerature, reassembling the armature in the existing position, commissioning and testing complete all as specified and as directed. by the Engineer-in-charge

All as per item No. 59 here-in-above but capacity 12.5 KVA to 15 KVA.

Taking down old/unserviceable feild coil from the alternator assembly of DG set of capacity 25 KVA to 50 KVA, cutting, welding and rewinding the field coils with best quality new super enamelled copper wires as per existing gauge of weight 29 kg (Appx), insulation material, varnishing, heating the same upto rated tempaerature, reassembling the field coil in the existing position, commissioning and testing complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

All as per item No. 61 above but capacity 12.5 KVA to 15 KVA.

M&L for reconditioning of battery 12 volts 90 to 180 AH capacity complete including replacement of electrolyte & tubular lead plates & erecting/ replacement of positive & negative terminal complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for earthing complete as in repair with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 6 mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground level ) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level connected to galvanised iron strip of 32x6 mm connected to test point by means of nut, bolts and washers made out of galvanised iron or steel all including earthing pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C1, RCC (1:2:4) type B1 precast cover slab with one handle made out of 8 mm dia round bar,20 mm dia (medium grade) protection pipe and providing layer of charcoal or coke and salt in alternative layers, necessary earth work complete as shown in Electrical plate No 3 as specified or indicated including testing on completion all as specified and as directed.

Supply and laying in repairs XLPE insulated armoured heavy duty 1100 V grade LT cable of size 50 sqmm 3.5 core with stranded aluminium conductor cable laid in trenches or passing through pipe or fixed on poles/walls through ducts wall/ceiling and terminating with suitable size of cable, glands and crimping the leads with aluminium lugs complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and laying in repairs XLPE insulated armoured heavy duty 1100 V grade LT cable of size 35 sqmm 3.5 core with stranded aluminium conductor cable laid in trenches or passing through pipe or fixed on poles/walls through ducts wall/ceiling and terminating with suitable size of cable, glands and crimping the leads with aluminium lugs complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and laying in repairs XLPE insulated armoured heavy duty 1100 V grade LT cable of size 25 sqmm 3.5 core with stranded aluminium conductor cable laid in trenches or passing through pipe or fixed on poles/walls through ducts wall/ceiling and terminating with suitable size of cable, glands and crimping the leads with aluminium lugs complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for foundation, etc area not exceeding 10Sqm on plan and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing surplus excavated material not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for sand cushioning with dry clean sand 15cm below cable and 8cm above the cable complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Punned thickness shall be measured for purpose of payments.

Supply and laying well burnt bricks, sub class 'B' bricks laid breath wise across the length of cable in trenches for protection of UG cables complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 40mm dia, Galvanised steel tubing, light grade (ISI marked) with all fittings for protection of cable laid on road crossing, drain crossing, laid in trenches/floor/road/wall complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only anti freeze radiator coolant complete all as specified and as directed. Make : HP/Servo/Castrol

Supply only distilled water for batteries in each 5 litres of cane complete all as specified and as directed.

Filling only Engine/Lubricating Oil to DG set after draining of existing old Engine/Lubricant Oil from DG Set. Lubricating oil required for filling will be supplied by the department under sch 'B' for free for filling & old oil need to deposite to department complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for painting to the DG Sets of any capacities by preparation of old painted surfaces, cleaning & removing of existing rust grease oil spot etc, priming with aluminium red-oxide and then applying 1st grade of synthetic enamelled spray paint (two coat) of approved make, brand and colours (includes cost of paint) including fuel tank foundation base and panel board complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for dismantling the unserviceable radiator for DG set of 12.50 to 50 KVA capacity from engine, transportation to the nearest workshop, repair the tank /storage portion including necessary welding & making leak proof of the tank, cleaning the complete radiator with chemical agent and pumping set incl replacement of defective copper core and assembling the radiator including replacement of all old rusted MS nuts, bolts washers & gasket sets including refixing and testing complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for finding out defects of fully automatic electric panel (AMF) of DG set and taking out burnt interconnection wiring including u/s and serviceable components for reuse including Rewiring of panel using existing size of copper cable, ferrule, lugs, insulating material, nut bolt washer of various sizes refixing serviceable items including replacement of Contactor of any Model & amps capacity, 240 volt coil of any Make and Part No. and testing complete all as specified and as directed.
