Providing and fixing Glow studs of size 100x20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite ) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro- prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by Engineer in charge. The glow stud shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro- reflective surface shall be 35 (+/-5) degrees to base .The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM I: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4 : 1973. Providing and laying of thermoplastic paint 2.5mm thick to be marked with automatic machine of 100 mm width marking on central line on roads, as per MORTH specification No. 803 including cost of paint material and contingency material as required complete in all respect to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge (Hitco make) or any other reputed make as asked by the Engineer-in-Charge

Milling of distress bituminous layer upto 40mm depth in single pass with suitable milling machine (capable of milling @200-300 sqm area per Hr.) fitted with loading conveyor for loading the milled material directly on the truck i/c hauling and stock picking the reclaimed material near the central recycling plant or reclaiming to bring to required specification to reuse with the approval of Engineer-in-charge for safe disposal with all leads and lifts complete in all respect. Note:- The un-utilized quantity of reclaimed bituminous mix material shall be a recovery item

Providing and laying Prime coat on New WBM surface with bitumen 75 Kg per hundred sqm (Including Cost of Bitumen).

Providing & laying dense bitumen macadam (DBM) by hot mix plant and paver finishers as per clause no 507 and 113.3 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge works (iv revision) of 2001/ latest edition using 4.50% to bitumen grade(VG-30) as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respects including cost of bitumen instruction issued time to time by MORT&H regarding bitumen and machinery will be followed strictly .the use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conformed to MORT&H specification is mandatory.

Description: Providing and laying 40 mm thick bituminous concrete with 100-120 TPH batch type TPH hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, coarse aggregate of nominal size 11.2 mm grade – I and coarse sand of size 2.80mm to 90 micron, premixed with bituminous binder VG-30 @5.40% percent by weight of mix and cement filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying [ as per 501.5.3 to 501.5.4] with a sensor paver & with finisher of sensor paver will be minimum 7 M wide and rolling with road roller and vibratory roller with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers [ as per MORT & H clause 501.6 & 501.7] to achieve the desired compaction as per MORT & H specification clause No. 509 complete in all respect. (40mm thick), giving density not less than 2.40 gm/cc to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Materials obtained from dismantling of bituminous layer have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specification) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material . This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned as under: Bituminous material @ 1821.00/- per cum Note: All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual scarifying and if material after scarifying is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser than reserve price
