Cleaning of dry leaves de-silting of Storm water drain in IIT Madras Campus for the Year 2024-25

Labour charges towards cleaning of dry leaves and fallen tree branches, and removing vegetation etc., for free flow of runoff through storm water drain and culverts inside IITM campus. The approximate length of storm water drain is around 15000 Rm and average width is around 1.5m. The dry leaves removed shall be disposed off into the forest area upto 100m lead and minimum 10m away from the storm water drain. It should not be stacked near to the building, road and other service facilities. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of all tools & tackles and Personnel protective equipmets, etc.

Charges towards desilting of storm water channel by necessary earthwork and disposal of collected silt/earth inside the campus using lorry/truck as directed by Engineer-in-charge. The payment will be made based on actual volume of silt/earth disposed and 20% voids will be deducted from actual measurement.

Labour charges towards cleaning of storm water canal from IITM boundary to TIDEL park and mouth near Buckingham canal and disposal of garbage to outside the campus. Cleaning shall be done from outside of canal without entering into canal. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of labour, tools & tackles and Personnel protective equipment, etc., complete.

Supplying Back hoe loader (Like JCB) with shovel capacity of minimum 1 cum for various clearing and excavation works. Rate quoted shall include cost of operating the vehicle, fuel, driver beta, etc., and complete.,

Labour charges towards engaging additional manpower during rainy days to remove floating dry leaves which are blocking culverts and channels. The payment will be made as per actual engagement of labour. The work shall be carried out during day/night as instructed by Engineer-in-charge.

Charges towards intercarting dry leaves all main roads and sub road sides in IITM campus. The rate is inclusive of labour charge for loading, transporting with in 2km lead, unloading and spreading of dry leaves at the location specified by Engineer in- charge. The minimum capacity of truck shall be 75 cft.
