Amount

Excavation in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for taking out pole / cables/ earthing and earth lead etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft/ loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 1 here in before but depth exceeding 1.5m and not exceeding 3 metres and getting out in soft/ loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm in soft/ loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling old unserviceable steel poles, any size from site including necessary demolition of concrete as in coping and foundation of poles and making good the disturbed surface complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & install of steel tubular swaged poles complete with cast iron base plate 6mm thick of size 450mm x 450mm finial taper plug, bolts, nuts & screws as specified type 410 SP-55 (11.0 metres long) pole made out of ERW MS tubing confirming to IS 2713 / IS 1161 Part II including drilling of holes of required size and nos for fixing of cross arms bracing support/ taking out of cables etc, and painting with one coat of red oxide primer and two coat of aluminium paint for exposed surface and two coat of black bituminious paint for the portion embeded in concerete after taking down old one complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Excavation of earthwork, PCC concrete bed etc will be measured & paid in respective item of works)

Material & Labour for plain cement concrete 1:4:8, Type D2 (40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundations of pole etc complete all as specified as directed.

Material & Labour for plain cement concrete 1:3:6, Type C2 (40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundations of pole etc complete all as specified as directed.

Material & Labour for plain cement concrete 1:2:4, Type B1 (20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in coping of poles and mass concrete including all necessary formwork complete all as specified & as directed.

Supply & fix in repair Junction box IP 65 with plain walls of size 167mm x 125mm x82mm made up of Polystyrene having shutter and lifting knob with provision of earth strip entry glands fixed to walls or pole with nuts, bolts, washers and testing complete all as specified and directed. S&F in repairs cross arms, bracings, supports, clamps and back plates fabricated from structural steel sections including nuts, bolts, washers, welding, bending cold or hot, drilling holes for bolts, in any shape or size as indicated or directed and inclusive of one primer coat, one under coat and one finishing coat of aluminium silver paint including dismantling and removal of old rusted cross arms complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for aluminium conductor, steel reinforced fixed on poles as suspended conductor after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs porcelain, vitreous, white, brown or green insulator shackle type 50mm height, 65mm dia with 9mm dia bolts washers and nuts including galvanised and mild steel straps, after taking down old one including complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling stay assembly complete including necessary demolition of concrete, etc., and making good to the disturbed surfaces to match the existing surface all as specified and directed. Note: Excavation work will be measured separately.

Supply & fixing stay assembly for angle iron / pole of lightening conductor comprising of 7/3.15 mm galvanised mild steel stranded stay wire of required length fixed to angle iron / pole with and including flat iron clamp of 50 x 6mm size, bolts nuts, washers stay rod of 16mm dia, 2.15 metres long, stay bow, with nuts bolts, washers, galvanised steel plate 230 x 230 x 6mm and 2 No thimble, including necessary PCC 1:3:6 type C2 (40 mm graded stone aggregate) for foundation complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- Rates for excavation/ returning filling/ removal etc. is deemed to be included in unit rate quoted by the contractor.

Taking down old defective copper conductor multi stranded of any size from roof / angle iron and making good to the disturbed surfaces to match the existing surface complete all as specified & directed.

Supply & fixing multi stranded copper conductor of size 7 strands 8 SWG each strand on poles/ angle iron complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down old defective conductor strips of any type/description (i.e GI, Aluminium & copper strip) from wall/ roof and making good to the disturbed surfaces to match the existing surface complete all as specified & directed.

S&F in repairs aluminium strip of size 25 x 4 mm fixed to wall/ pole with aluminium saddles and screws for roof/ down conductor above ground/ buried in ground/ drawn in conduit/ fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing including connected upto test terminal point complete all as specified and directed. Note : - Insulators/conduit/pipe shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate items here in after

S&F in repairs Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm fixed to wall with aluminium saddles and screws drawn in conduit/ fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing including connected upto test terminal point complete all as specified and directed. S&F in repairs fixing Galvanised iron strip of size 25x4 mm fixed to wall with Galvanised iron saddles and screws / buried in ground/ drawn in conduit/ fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing including connected upto test terminal point complete all as specified and directed. Note : - Insulators/conduit/pipe shall be measured and paid separately under respective item of works

Rejuvenate the existing earthing (GI/copper plate earthig) with provision of new layers of charcoal and salt all as specified in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I, including cleaning of existing GI/Copper earth plate, conductors etc, connecting with new bolts, nuts and washers including replacement of watering pipe, funnel with wire mesh, earth lead and protection pipe including necessary testing on complete all as specified and directed. Note : - (i) Excavation will be measured & paid under item No 1 to 4. (ii) Watering pipe, funnel with wire mesh will be measured & paid under item No. 23, 24 & 25

Supply only light grade GI pipe 20 mm dia for watering in earthing Pit complete all as specified and directed. [Note: Material to be incorporated against item No. 22]

Supply only light grade GI pipe 40 mm dia for protection of earthing lead complete all as specified and directed. [Note: Material to be incorporated against item No. 22]

Supply only funnel made out of aluminium sheet in conical shape, dia of the funnel should be similar to existing funnel complete all as specified and as diirected. [Note: Material to be incorporated against item No. 22]

M&L for plate earthing in replacement of old earthing complete with galvanised mild steel plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (in earth pit not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level) with the top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, the earth electrode surrounded by adequate quantity of charcoal dust and salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm on all sides and incl GI earth strip 32 x 6 mm bolted (with GI nuts, bolts & check nuts) and riveted to earth plate at one end and connected to metallic bodies of equipment’s/ earthing test point etc at the other end, earth strip encased in and including 40 mm GI light grade pipe with all fittings from top of electrode to body of equipment fixed with and including 25x4mm iron clamps, bolts, nuts and washer and also including providing watering pipe 20mm bore GI pipe medium grade from bottom of earth pit to top of electrode complete with wire mesh funnel and earth pit in PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate and CI cover and frame complete all specified and shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-1 including testing earth resistance and submitting test report to AGE E/M by the contractor complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Rates for excavation and earthwork in any kind of soil/ strata, testing on completion, GI strip 32x6 mm and 40 mm dia light grade GI protection pipe upto 7.5 metres from earth plate is deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (ii) On testing after completion if less than 5 Ohm earth resistance is not obtained the earthling will be redone by the contractor at no extra cost the department.

Material & labour for maintenance free grounding solution set earthing in replacement of old earthing comprising of high tensile low carbon steel rod of 3 meter length & 17.2 mm dia with 250micron (average) molecularly bonded copper thickness on the outer surface along with earth enhancing back-fill compound strictly be a carbon based conductive concrete type which has a resistivity of less than 0.12 Ohm Mtr. Back-fill compound should be electronically conductive (Like in metals) and should not depend on moisture for conduction, back-fill compound should be environment friendly, should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete and should not leach / diffuse into the ground, back fill compound shall not be mixed with any soil while pouring in the bore hole. The earth electrode should finally be housed in a heavy duty readymade type PVC chamber with future access cover. Make: JEF Technology/ Excel Fibro tech / Trupower solution Note :- (i) Rates for excavation and earthwork in any kind of soil/ strata, testing on completion, copper strip 20x3 mm and 40 mm dia light grade GI protection pipe upto 7.5 metres from earth plate is deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (ii) On testing, after completion, if the earth resistance < 5 ohms is not obtained, earthing will be rejuvenated without any extra to the department. (iii) Test certificate from the OEM has to be produced by the contractor for the material used in earthing.

M&L in replacement for "Test Point Terminal Block" made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of having size 75 X 75 X 25 mm drilled and screwed by providing 3 nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexazonal head screw and connected to Copper/ Aluminium / GI strips complete housed in a PVC junction box after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The test points will be properly fixed on epoxy insulators. Cost of epoxy insulators are inclusive of unit rate quoted by the contractor. (ii) PVC junction box will be paid and measured separately under item no 10.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) earth pit chamber having inner dimension of size 54cm x 54cm x 54cm with wall and floor thickness of 150mm thick; laid over 75 mm thick, PCC 1:4:8 type D2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) foundation including necessary form work, earth work to earth pit, demolishing old brick Masonry/ PCC chamber and supply and laying of prefabricated RCC earth pit cover of size 60cm x 60cm X 50mm made using RCC 1:2:4 type B0 (using 12.5mm graded stone aggregate) and 8mm dia Fe-500 grade TMT reinforcement bars @ 140mm center to center on both ways, including two nos 8mm dia TMT bar handles embedded into pit cover complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair Copper strip of size 100 X 50 X 5 mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos 8 mm dia screw and washers connected to Copper/ Aluminium / GI strips after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair Air termination single pointed aluminium rod not less than 12mm dia and 300mm long end threaded all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in repair Air termination single pointed Copper rod not less than 12mm dia and 300mm long end threaded after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair Post insulator epoxy LV type suitable for copper/aluminium/ GI strip 25 x 4 mm lightening conductor fixed on wall/roof/pole including screw after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair Post insulator cetrally threaded epoxy LV type suitable for holding threaded aluminium/ copper AT rod 12 mm dia fixed on stand post including screw after taking down old one complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying in repair 32 mm bore class 3 grade PVC pipe for protection of earth strip completein trenches / fixed to walls/ fixed to poles with suitable clamps at 0.5 meter apart spancomplete all as specified and directed. Make:- Finolex, Polycab ( NOTE :- Rates for flat iron clamps, bolts, nuts and washer etc are deemed to be included in rate quoted)

Taking down old unserviceable roof earth continuity conductor/ static discharge strips of any type and description/ size from wall/roof/floor and refixing the same with insulator epoxy coated at 0.5 metre span including brass nut , bolts, washers etc. and making good to the disturbed surfaces to match the existing complete all as specified and directed at site. Note : - Insulators shall be measured and paid separately.

Labour charges to carry out ohmic resistance test and recording the resistance value of lightning protection system in presence of MES/ Air force representative complete with air termination but without earth connections by dividing the system into convenient section at testing point by suitable joint by using kelvin bridge or other suitable portable precision testing set all as per IS -2309 of 1969. NOTE: - Wornout missing nuts, bolts, washers, rivets etc shall be replaced and roof/down conductors shall be straightened. The result should be recorded in the result sheet and on building at place directd by Engineer-in-chg.Two seprate team should be used for recording the test result and the Test result should be submitted to the AGE E/M Office on daily basis.Testing equipment & ladder has to be arranged by the contractor on his own. The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of this provision.

Labour charges to carry out Earth resistance test with well calibrated suitable earth resistance tester after opening the test points and recording the result in presence of MES/ Air force representative complete all as per IS 3043 of 1966. NOTE: - (i) The result should be recorded in the result sheet and on building at place directd by Engineer-in-charge. (ii) Two seprate team should be used for recording the test result and the Test result should be submitted to the AGE E/M Office on daily basis.Testing equipment & ladder has to be arranged by the contractor on his own.The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of this provision.

Note:- The amount against the Schedule of Credit mentioned in the tender document shall be deducted from the total amount quoted against Sch 'A' while deriving the Contract Sum for Acceptance.
