Immediate measures for restoration of Jiadhal L/B embankment from Barman Gaon to its downstream (Ch. 8200m to Ch. 10200m) under SDRF for 2020-21

Medium Jungles: Clearing medium jungles and trees upto 15 cm. girth including cutting, uprooting roots and stumps, removing them from the site of the work, etc. complete as directed. ( When 30% to 60 % of the area is covered by shrubs,trees etc)

Earth work in embankment by Tractor-trailer carriage in locally available ordinary soil excluding rocky soil free from roots & vegetation and filling in uniform layers not exceeding 22 cm. thick including ploughing or roughening or benching the seats, removing all debris, breaking clods up to 2.5 cm cube, dressing as per design section including payment of forest royalty if any, etc. complete as directed. (10% deduction will be made from the section measured quantities of the completed and compacted earth work on account of shrinkage).

Earthwork in grabbing the seat of the embankment upto 0.3 m depth and depositing the soils outside the country side toe of the proposed structures, etc. complete as directed..

Turfing with grass sods of largest possible rectangles of 12 cm. minimum thickness placed closely including dressing earth pagging with Jati bamboo split, watering till the grass grows for a lead up to 90m and all lifts.

Supply of Geo-textile bags of Type-B (Size 2.00m x 1.50m), inner dimension made of composite layers of geo-textile as per specifications below : Woven Geo-textile for the outer cover. The woven geo textile is woven with UV resistant slit film tape fibre with MAVR values of the following properties. Geo-textile used to manufacture geo-textile bags should have high mechanical properties for enhanced durability along with enhanced puncture, abrasion and U.V. resistance characteristics. Labour charge for laying, fitting and fixing of double layered Geo textile, fabricated to form a three dimensional mattresses after filling sand at design slope, filled up with sand by pump, anchoring by cutting trench at the upper and lower end of slope of depth 1.00m x 0.75 m placing the mat by bending it into the trench, filling the trench by earth filled cement bags, sides of mattresses in sloping direction stitched by Polypropylene thread with double locking chain stitch not less than 3 stitches per 2.50 cm to achieve minimum stream strength including all handling and carriage charge complete as directed. (Polypropylene thread will be supplied by the department free of cost).

Construction of whole bamboo single pallasiding with matured bhaluka bamboo posts 7.5cm to 10 cm dia.,15 cm clear apart 1.50m to 1.80m above ground and 1.00m to 1.20m below ground with bhaluka bamboo inclined struts placed at 1.5m a part tied with three rows of horizontal half jati bamboo kamies etc. complete as directed. (Using Bhaluka Bamboo at the rate of 10.14 nos/ Rm & Jati Bamboo at the rate of 2.40 nos / Rm).

Construction of whole Bholuka Bamboo Screen with matured Bholuka Bamboo stacks 75mm to 100mm dia, placed at 90 cm clear apart( i.e. 50 cm C/C) driven 3.00 m to 3.50m below ground and 3.0m to 3.50m above ground with hydraulic driving equipments including hire charge of equipment, cost of P.O.L. etc. complete as directed.

Serviceable empty cement bags.

Labour charge for laying and pitching earth filled cement bags including excavation and borrowing earth, breaking clods, filling in bags and supplying and stitching the mouth with jute sutli, etc. complete as directed. (cement bags will be supplied by the department free of cost). For borrowing earth from a distance up to 30m.
