Maintenance and improvement of Landscape area in DAE Main Gate Complex in IGCAR, Kalpakkam during the year 2024-2025.

Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees etc., in garden Non- sprinklers area by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming hedges, and the unwanted growth of grasses as and when required including running lawn mover or grass cutter, removing weeds, collecting the cut grass, fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards shown by the department with a lead of 2km, watering the trees inside the garden area complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1. The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of cut grass, leaves etc., to the dumping yard. 2. The rate shall also include cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening etc. 3. The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m. area maintained per month. The area not maintained by contractor is deducted then and there. 4. Contractor has to make his own arrangement for Lawn Movers. 5. If lawn mover is not used, then recovery at the rate of 20 Paise / Sq.m. will be levied as penalty from RA Bill. 6. The contractor shall engage minimum 4 persons (1 person for 1500 sq. m /day) daily throughout the month as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Failure to employ the above minimum numbers of labour will attract penal clause as per additional special condition of contract/specification attached with the tender for every default of labour. 7. The contractor shall supply the PPE to the garden labour and they should wear the PPE during their working hours.

Supply and spreading of Fertilizer (urea), neem cake including cost of fertilizer and neem cake etc., all as per specification for Orchard plants / trees at the rate of 0.01kg/Sqm for fertilizer and 0.005kg/Sqm of neem cake, all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Collection, supply and spraying of pesticides / fungicides / growth regulators in the lawn area and hedges by sprayer etc., including cost of collection, supply and spraying of pesticides / fungicides /growth regulators etc., all as per specification. Note: The pesticides / fungicides / growth regulators shall be used at the rate of 0.06 ml/sq.m. and as directed by the manufacturer specification.

Operation of Garden water supply pumps located in different areas of IGCAR/DAE Main gate complex including operating regulation valves and different sector of garden network, monitoring water level in the wells to avoid dry run of motor and cleaning the pumps, pump room, etc., complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The Contractor has to engage minimum of 1 operator general shift timing 9.00 to 17.30 hours every day throughout the year excluding Sundays and holidays. If any shortfall found during the contract period, he will be penalised at the rate of 1 Each/operator/day shall be deducted from the RA bills.

Sweeping and Cleaning the pathway areas on both sides of roads in DAE Main gate complex area and when & where ever required including collecting upto 200m and stacking swept material for disposal upto 4km and as directed by the engineer. Note: 1. Every time cleaning area shall be measured for payment. 2. The contractor shall engage minimum 1 numbers of workers daily as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Failure to deploy the minimum numbers of labour will attract recovery with the minimum wages for every default of labour. 3. The contractor shall supply the necessary PPE to the workers. 4.The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of sweeping materials to the dumping yard near KKM gate near DAE compound wall in north plant site. 5. The rate should also include the hire charges for sweeping tools etc., 6. The Contractor has to clean the pavement areas four times in a month or as per requirement of Engineer-in-charge.

Trimming of tree branches which gives hindrance to buildings, road side etc., including collecting and disposing the fallen trees / branches at places shown by department all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (Measured at a height of 1m above ground level) – Between 30cm to 60cm girth.

Providing and laying the following sizes PVC water supply line with 'Finolex / Varun / Truebore' or approved equivalent make PVC pipes suitable for 6 kg/sq.cm pressure and specials confirming & marked to IS:4985 including jointing with PVC jointing compound, laying and fixing the pipes in the excavated trenches, cost of all types of specials such as tees, reduces, coupler, reducing bushes, threaded adaptor, elbow, tail pieces, caps etc., and testing the line as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Rectifying the PVC pipe line burst of the following dia of water line by removing the damaged portion of PVC pipes, replacing with new pipes and restoring the water supply including cutting the damaged pipes, cleaning / scrubbing the surface, fixing the new pipe with necessary solvent cement of approved make etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Note: Cost for PVC pipe and specials will be paid separately under relevant item.)

Collection, supplying and stacking of good quality Red earth without undesirable materials (stones, gravel etc.), stacking the same to at places as shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Collection, supplying and stacking of Decomposed dry farmyard manure without undesirable materials, stacking the same to at places as shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Renovation of lawn area, wherever damaged etc., to ensure better continuity of the landscape feature, including digging and levelling the surface of the earth upto 150mm including area cleaning, collection, supply and planting of grass of good quality including conveyance, cost of Korean & Mexican grass and plants etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying of water by tractor with tanker of capacity ranges 5000 to 6000 litres for landscaping activities in main road junction / rountana inside DAE complex at IGCAR Kalpakkam. The water will be drawn from the source point and the delivery point will be as per the locations shown by the Engineer in charge. The supply shall be made available to lawns/gardens/hedges by daily/alternatives as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. Note : The water tanker shall be supplying minimum of 3 nos. of tanker ( trips ) for watering purpose.

Conveying the surplus excavated earth & debris, boulders and spoil by mechanical means and depositing at places inside DAE installation identified as Dumping yard as per requirement with a lead specified below including loading, unloading, breaking clods, levelling all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1) The rates in respect of this Item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of Rock from the corresponding Stack / Truck measurements. 2) The earth shall be dumped well inside the Dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.

Providing and laying plain cement concrete 1:4.5:8 using 25mm maximum size graded aggregates and crushed stone sand including mechanical mixing, transporting and placing in required position, ramming, compaction, levelling, curing, shuttering, dewatering if any, complete all as per specification for levelling courses in foundation for walls, footings, floor drains etc., encasing pipes and other required works directed by Engineer-in-charge complete all as per specifications.

Providing and constructing at all floors and lifts 115mm thick brick work in cement mortar 1:4 using crushed stone sand and using well burnt bricks including scaffolding, curing, racking out the joint on both faces etc. complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing plastering to the external surfaces of brickwork/concrete at all elevations in cement mortar 1:5 using crushed stone sand, 20mm thick in two coats including hacking of concrete surfaces with pointed tool, scaffolding, finishing, curing, forming grooves wherever necessary, all as per specifications.

Labour charges for maintenance of foot valves / check valves of pumps at Inside of IGCAR Complex Garden pump house and wells including disconnecting suction pipe, lifting from UG sump, Bore-wells and open wells, removing foot/check valves, repairing, changing the leather, bolt and nuts, refixing suction pipe, testing etc., complete including cost of leather, bolts, nuts and labour.
