Excavation in trenches in soft / loose soil not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m deep and getting out complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in including spreading, leveling and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material n.exc. 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for repair to leakages of GI pipe, 15mm bore by replacing the tees, bends, sockets unions etc complete including all acessories with necessary exacavation and earth work; returning filling and removal to a distance n. exc 50m away, dewatering if required, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Demolition of old unserviceable valve pits and constructing of brick masonary pits of internal dimensions 1m x1m x1.2m (bottom PCC floor of the pit shall be 30cms below the bottom surface of sluice valve flange to provide sufficient working space), bottom floor of the pit be constructed in PCC (1:3:6), 15cms thick (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) inner and exposed surfaces and bottom floor of the pit shall be plastered in CM (1:4) 15mm thick. The sluice valve and other fittings shall be housed in centre of the pit, the vertices of the pit should in right angle and chamfered. The top cover of the pit shall be made out of MS sheet 2mm thick with angle iron frame made out of MS angle 50mm x50 mmx 6 mm with galvanised steel hinges two Nos and locking arrangements duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamelled paint over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed.

(Note :- laying of pipe may be horizontal or vertical both. The contractor shall keep this aspect in his mind while quoting his bid and nothing extra shall be payable on this account).

M&L for fixing in repair of water ferrule (brass ) connection by doing excavation, disconnecting the ferrule and making new ferrule connection/hole on the existing delivery pipe line and supply and fixing of new GI nipple, union, bend, elbow and tee of 20mm bore and provision of 20mm plug at one side of tee and refreshing the ferrule connection for smooth supply of water to the user, returning, filling and removing the excavated material to a distance n exc 50mm away all as direceted. (Notes :- (i) Rates quoted by contractor shall be deemed to included dewatering from the trench if required (ii) Incase the ferrule connection not working satisfactorily the whole job shall be redone again by the contractor without any extra cost ).

M&L for preparation of old painted surfaces of CI/DI pipes of dia 200/ 150/ 100mm bore and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint on all external surfaces of CI/DI pipes (as per colour codes) for rising, supply, overflow and washout vertical/ horizontal including all arrangement to carry out the painting including scaffolding and all type of T&P complete all as specified and directed. Contractor shall take care of all the safety aspects while painting on the height, the workers should have proper insurance to work on the overhead tank heights. The cost of safety will be deemed to be included in the quoted rate by the contractor. (Note:- Riser main/ overflow/ Delivery line/ washout each pipe colour will be as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge).

M&L for road cutting including excavation returning filling in spreading leveling , well ramming in layers, soling with broken boulders/ stones obtained from demolition of existing road, 7.5cm thick coarse aggregate obtained from demolition of existing WBM of road, watering and ramming, 40mm thick PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate for road patch repair work, section/ cross section area of cutting shall be as specified and as directed by Engineer -In Charge.

M&L for servicing sluice valve of size 150 to 200mm size incuding changing of spindle, plate, check nut, bolt and rubber gasket complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for servicing sluice valve of size 80 to 100mm size incuding changing of spindle, plate, check nut, bolt and rubber gasket complete all as specified and directed.

Note applicable for item No 4 to 13 :- One supervisor should report to JE/ Engineer- in-charge on daily basis with complaint register. The minor complaint should be done by 24 hours of time and major complaints within 48 hours of time frame. Failing which Rs. 200/- per day of delay will be levied from the contractor as penalty. The Contractor will arrange the security passes for himself/ supervisor and his work force as per the existing security policy of the station without any extra cost.

A Schedule of Credit for old/unserviceable demolished/ dismantled items has been catered for in the tender. The Schedule of Credit is pre-priced by MES. The final amount of the tender shall be arrived at after deducting the total amount of Rs. 4,33,300.00 Schedule of Credit from the total amount of BoQ as per General Summary sheet catered for after Schedule of Credit.
