Excavation in soil in Hilly Area by manual means including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth with in all leads & lifts as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1603.1 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Earth work in excavation for structure in all depths as per drawing and technical specification for rural roads August 2004 clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring abd bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal in all leads and lift including dressing of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable materials. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where balsting is prohibited) all earth work in cutting/ excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades, side slopes, width , camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge hauling and stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other causes it shall be remove by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. All the surplus excavated earth to be dumped at dumping site(dumping sites will be arranged by the contractor on his own cost).Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be dully compensated by him at his on cost in all cases. including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying concrete for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802,803,1202 and 1203 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. (a) Cement Mortar 1:6:12(one cement:six sand: twelve graded stone aggregate 40mm(forty milimetre) nominal size).

Providing and laying concrete for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802,803,1202 and 1203 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. (a) Cement Mortar 1:4:8(one cement:four sand:eight graded stone aggregate 20mm(twenty milimetre) nominal size).

Stone masonry in cement mortar for substructure complete as per drawing & technical specification Clauses 702,704,1202 and 1204 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.(a)Random rubble masonry (i) In cement mortar 1:6(one cement:six sand).

Construction of dry rubble masonry for retaining walls, breast walls, revetment walls and parapets etc. for substructure and super structure complete as per drawing and technical specifications clause 704.6 & 1302.5 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Backfilling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as per specification clause 1204.3.8 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. (a) Granular material.

Providng and laying reinforced cement concrete pipe NP2 (Two) 900mm (nine hudnred milimetre) dia for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1:2(One cement:two sand) but excluding excavation, protection work, back filling, concrete and masonry work in head walls and parapets complete as per drawing and MORD technical specification clause 1108 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

20cm (Twenty centimetre)flagged stone flooring laid in cement mortar 1:3(One cement : three sand) including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
