Drilling of 150 mm diameter bore hole supplements with penetration test (SPT) up to 10m depth or reusal whichever occurs earlier. Collecting disturbed soil samples from the location of SPT, collecting undistrubed at 1.50m intervals or change of starta whichever occurs earlier. Analysis for liquification potential for erathquake as per Zone-III of IS:1893-2016(Part-I) and recording the ground water table if observed upto exploration depth, as per IS 6395:1973. Conducting all necessary laboratory test including folloing, on samples collected for their different engineering properties:- (i) Dry density and moisture content (IS 2720 part – 2&29) (ii) Particle size analysis – (IS 2720 part – 4 1985) (iii) Atterberg’s limit – (IS 2720 part -5 1985) (iv) Specific gravity – (IS 2720 part – 3/sec 2 1980) (v) Vane shear test – (IS – 4434) (vi) Consolidation test- (IS 2720 part – 15 1986) and compressed value index. (vii) Free swell and Swell pressure test – (IS 2720 part – 40 1977, part – 41 1977) (viii) Bulk Density. (ix) Organic matter in soil if any. (x) Triaxial compression test and determination of (C & ɸ value) sher parameters as per relevant IS. (xi) Harmful salt. Submitting the report in four copies(ink signed) comprising of details quoted in suceeding paragraphs:

Detailed description of field investigation, soil classification and general nature of soil strata, water table, interpretation of test results; grains size distribution curves, compressive index curves, site plan etc, stress-strain modulus (by stress-strain curves from triaxial tests), Foundation analysis & recommendations with supporting calculations regarding foundation system, depth of foundation.

The SBC of the soil is required to be given as per following table, calculation of bearing capacity will be governed generally as per IS 8009(Pt-I) 1976, IS 2720 (P-II) 1980, IS 6403-1980,IS 1904-1986 & 1080-1985 and other relevant IS codes and detailed calculations duly showing the various soil parameters /indices shall be given in the soil report:-Depth of foundation Safe bearing capacity of soil in T/M2 for footing size Remarks Strip footing 1.2m x 1.2m 1.5 m x 1.5m 2m x 2m 2.5m x 2.5m 1m 1.5m 2.0m 2.5m

Soil investigation report shall include a detailed site plan showing the aprox location of each bore duly numbered as per log of the bore holes should be enclosed. Location of foundation of adjacent structures, especially those that might be impact by the proposed construction should be indicated with details in site plan.

Photographic record of geo-explorations as well as testing shall also form part of the report.

Every page of the soil investigation Report should have the Name of the Job for which soil Investigation is being carried out. In case of multiple sites of a single job are being investigated name of each site shall be put on each page of report pertaining to the site.

All pages of the Soil Investigation Report shall be serially numbered, stamped and signed by the Agency carrying out the Soil investigation Report should be scrutinized by GE & CWE for correctness & endorsed.

In case of underground building basement construction, or if requirement of temporary/permanent deep excavation support measures during construction of building are envisaged necessary excavation support measures to be given by the consultant based on geotechnical investigations.

Transportation of equipment/ Mobilization/ Dematerialization of equipment, etc. for soil investigation.
