Repair / strengthening of MSSW 500/600 mm dia. Muthi-Roop Nagar rising main damaged due to flash flood at CPS Muthi near Shiv Mandir Muthi and new JDA flats. Then carriage of DG set, gas cylinder, welding leads, MSSW pipe and allied material from workshop to nearby site of work using mechanical transport and manual labour to actual site of work. Laying of cable and making of earthing arrangement from DG set upto actual site of work. Opening of wash outs to empty the rising main. Aligning the pipe with the existing rising main by using tools and tackles. Preparing the damaged joint for welding by using sand paper of appropriate grade and cleaning the pipe. Welding the damaged portion of pipe by using super bond welding electrodes. Properly chipping off the joint and then reinforcing the joint by providing and fitting of MS strips across the joints. Job further includes welding of 500 mm dia. rising main on other location. Cleaning the damaged portion by using gas flame and cutting the welding flux from the damaged patched joint. Job also includes providing and fitting of 02 Nos. air release valves 100/125 mm dia. on the rising main of ISI mark in place of damaged ones. Testing the pipe on full load condition for any leakages. Demolishing of damaged 1 No. RCC saddle block on Muthi-Roop Nagar rising main near Shiv Mandir Muthi by using pneumatic drill, high carbon steel chisels & sledge hammer upto entire depth and cutting of reinforcement steel. Laying of new RCC saddle block in its place as per site requirement. All the cutting jobs shall be performed by using Industrial gases i.e. oxygen acetylene gas cutting by highly skilled cutters and welding shall be performed using 3.15 & 4.0 mm super bond special welding electrodes by highly skilled welder and earth work shall be carried through skilled labour by means of mechanical transport. Complete job includes cost of hiring and shifting of DG Set to site, materials like welding electrodes, oxygen cylinder etc. and labour charges.
