REPAIRS TO CERTAIN ROAD INCLUDING ALLIED WORKS AT AIR FORCE STATION ARJAN SINGH, PANAGARH

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area n.exc 400 sqm, exc 50 mm and n.exc.150mm deep complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Screening road metal, Chippings, etc. on the site of the work, when specially ordered, including removing screened materials clear of screen and stacking in separate heaps for measuring (Materials from both sides of screen measured) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for 7.5cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates ( using Granite, Trap or Basalt stone) of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per serial item No 3.00 here-in-before but ‘except road metals’ complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Road metals obtain from BOQ Srl. Item No. 02 shall be reused.

Material & Labour preparation of unsurfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer @ 10 kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen (grade VG 10) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour for repairs to pot holes of any depth exc 30mm and n.exc. 1.00 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc., cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer at 5kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen VG-10 grade , putting in premix bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder using paving bitumen VG-30 grade @ 9.8 kg per 10 sqm blended with 0.09 cum of stone chippings 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of pre-mixed macadam, binder and chippings) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour preparation of old bituminous/ black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer @ 3 kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen (grade VG 10) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour premix bituminous macadam with paving bitumen (grade VG 30) binder content 4% by weight of total mix, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder (paving bitumen (grade VG 30) content by weight of total mix, spread evenly with mechanical paver to desired thickness and to the correct camber, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Notes: 1. Premix SDAC shall be procured from a Hot Mix Plant . 2. Exact quantity of binder to be used shall be ascertained by Design Mix as specified. 3. The binder content in the mix shall be minimum 5.5 % by weight of total mix. However, in case more than 5.5% binder content is required as per design mix, the same shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost). 4. Binder content and density testing equipment should be readily available at site.

Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA strip lens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for preparation and cleaning of new/existing black bituminous surface of road by removing all loose dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign materials etc with coir brushes or other means as required/directed and hot applying thermoplastic road marking paint by screeding or extrusion process in thickness not less than 2.5 mm using an applicator machine to form traffic stripes such as lines, dashes, arrows, letters, etc. with surface application of reflectorising glass beads as per manufacturer instructions ; complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note: The paint shall confirm to BS 3262 Part I & II of 1989.)

Material & labour for preparation of previously treated/old painted surfaces of brick, stone, concrete, plaster , concrete pavement etc of any description, not otherwise described, over 10cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint of approved shade or tint complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
