SPECIAL REPAIR TO ROAD AT LICHUBARI AND MARIANI AREA AND REPAIR TO EXISTING ROAD AND CERTAIN POCKETS OF LICHUBARI AND MARIANI AREA UNDER AOR OF GE JORHAT

Repair to potholes of depth exceeding 30 mm, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc., cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade at the rate of 3 kg per 10 sqm, putting in semi dense bituminous concrete consolidated/ compacted thickness using hot mix plant and mechanical paver using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) @ 5.5% by weight of total mix & hydraulic lime filler, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshall Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111: 2009. The adjustment in rate on MINUS side variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of ₹55 per kg. No claim whatsoever shall be made for adjustment in plus side.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for applying primer on the surface of non-bituminous granular base course preparatory to the superimposition of bituminous treatment coat with cationic bitumen emulsion SS-1 grade at the rate of 10 kg per 10 Sqm of surface complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for applying evenly a tack coat with bituminous primer (paving grade bitumen VG-10 grade) @ 5 kg per 10 sq metres complete all as specified & as directed.

M & L for bituminous macadam not exceeding 75 mm thickness (compacted thickness) using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with 4% binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. M & L for bituminous concrete 40 mm (compacted thickness) using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) @ 5.5% by weight of total mix & hydraulic lime filler, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T & P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 sqm, depth of pot hole exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm including rolling over the broken surfaces using 8 to 10 tonnes power roller to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 7.5 cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of lime stone, sand stone, flint or quartzite of grading 2 (63 to 45 mm size) or of grading 3 (53 to 22.4 mm size), spread, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with three wheel-power roller of 80 to 100 kN capacity or an equivalent vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F metal tubular delineators (road way indicators) made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos of 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50 mm mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly power coated and thermo olastic elastomers 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strip with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedded 200 mm below ground level including excavation and PCC M15(Nominal Mix) with using 20 mm graded stone aggregate in foundation and making good surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and fixing Glow studs (cat's eye) of size 80 to 100 mm X 100 to 120 mm X 15 to 20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite ) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro- prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by Engineer in charge. The cats eye shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro- reflective surface shall be 35⁰ ± 5⁰ to base .The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM I: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4 : 1973. The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

S & F solar road studs of size not less than 125X 125 X 25 mm made of weather resistance aluminium alloy and poly carbonate material electronically welded micro- prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by the Engineer in charge. The cats eye shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro- reflective surface shall be 35⁰ ± 5⁰ to base. The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM E: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4 :1973. The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. The solar panel shall be high efficiency mono crystalline 2.5 V/60 m A and the battery shall be one Ni-mh type (1.2 V/1200 m Ah) high temp for backup of 36 hours full charging. The flash frequency shall be 60 ± 5 times per minute. Make- Model no 111 JUGNU of Dark Eye or equivalent makes as given in Appx B

M & L for applying evenly a priming coat with bituminous primer (paving grade bitumen VG-10 grade) @ 10 kg per 10 sq metres complete all as specified & as directed.

M & L for semi dense bituminous concrete 40 mm (compacted thickness) using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) @ 4.5% by weight of total mix & hydraulic lime filler, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. Manufacturing, supplying and fixing retro reflective Mandatory/ Regulatory sign boards of 900 mm diametre with support length of 3750 mm and made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type - IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc. as per IRC ; 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class -2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c to back support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25x25x3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos. M.S. angles of size 35x35x5 mm to a vertical post made up to M.S. Tee section ISMT 50x50x6 mm welded with base plate of size 100x100x5 mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes, angles flats, providing & fixing M.S. message plate of required size, steel work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade and of approved brand & manufacture over priming coat of zinc chromate yellow primer (vertical MS-Tee support to be painted in black and white colours).Backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint over and including appropriate priming coat including all leads and lifts etc. complete as per drawing , specification and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Manufacturing, supplying and fixing Retroreflective regulatory sign board of size 900 mm dia meter made out of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensityencapsulated lens type retro -reflective sheetingas approved by Engineer-in-charge . Letter, symbols, borders etc. will be as per IRC - 67 with required colour scheme on the boards and with the high intensity grade A. The aluminium sheet to be riveted to M.S. frame of angle iron of size 40x40x4 mm. The boards will be fixed to 1 No. 50x50 mm square post made of M.S. angle 50x50x4 mm, 4 m long welded to the frame with adequate anti-theft arrangement .Sheet work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint over an under coat (primer) and back side of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint including appropriate priming coat complete in all respects as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
