EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO PATCHES ON FLEXIBLE PORTION OF RUNWAY AT INS HANSA UNDER GE NW VASCO

Scarifying or picking gravelled ,macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces exc. 400 Sqm in area ,not exceeding 50mm deep in complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per item No.1 here in before, but exceeding 50mm and not exceeding 100mm deep all as specified and as directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surface not exceeding 400Sqm in area, not exceeding 50mm deep complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per Item No.3 hereinbefore but exceeding 50mm deep all as specified and as directed.

Removing scarified materials exceeding 250 m but not exceeding 500 m and deposited where directed.

M&L for cutting out edges truly vertical all around with electro mechanical cutting machines and pneumatic breaker, cleaning vertical edges and bottom with wire brushes , finally fanning with pneumatic air compressor making bottom and vertical sides complete dust free and clearing all worn-out materials from the site and thrown away where directed.

M&L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat of bitumen of VG-10 grade @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and as directed .

M&L for bituminous premix asphaltic dense concrete using VG-30 binder 50mm consolidated thickness with 6% binder content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed .

M&L for premix dense bituminous macadam using VG-30 binder consolidated thickness 75mm or less (minimum thickness 50mm) with 4.5% binder content by weight of total mix ,laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing emergency repair team consisting of 01 No of skilled labour and 02 Nos of unskilled labour at runway from 1800 hrs to 0600 hrs of next day, for carrying out repairs to potholes of area not exceeding 1.00 Sqm each for the work as follows:-

Sweeping free from dust and mud or water scouring sunken surfaces in runways ,paths etc cutting around edges of depth 50mm to 60mm deep by using electro mechanical cutting machine, making good by applying tack coat of Polymer modified bitumen emulsion at 10 Kg per 10 sqm /tack coat of bitumen VG-10 grade @ 5kg per 10 Sqm as suitable for runway surfaces and putting in premixed bituminous asphalt dense concrete using VG-30 grade binder with 6% binder content by weight of total mix for runway ,well rammed/rolled with suitable compactor and sealed with PME and cement OPC 43 Gde,well rammed ,dry and cleaned with blower at same time to open the runway for use all as specified. Note:Material required for this item shall be measured and paid separately under item Nos : 12 and 13

(i)The contractor shall take immediate action when received the complaints from user/MES. (ii)The contractor shall detail a team with adequate material, labour & equipment to attend emergency repair work. (iii)The repair team must have readily available with material to repair atleast 100 sqm of runway. (iv)The repair team must be equipped with equipment & rig to work at night and during rainy season/ weather. (v)The repair team must have basic type mobile set without camera and with sim connection. (vi)Labour shall be equipped with electro mechanical cutting machine, portable generator Set for power supply, portable pneumatic blower , light for night working and suitable vehicle for carrying material to runway.

All as per item No 10 here in before but from 0600 hrs to 1800 hrs all as specified and as directed.

Material only for Item Nos 10 and 11 here in before by applying tack coat of Polymer modified bitumen emulsion 10 Kg per 10 sqm /tack coat of bitumen VG-10 grade @ 5kg per 10 Sqm as suitable for runway surfaces and putting in premixed bituminous asphalt dense concrete using VG-30 grade binder with 6% binder content by weight of total mix for runway ,well rammed/rolled with suitable compactor( tamping rod or plate vibrator) and sealed with PME and cement OPC 43 Gde,well rammed ,dry and cleaned with blower at same time to open the runway for use all as specified .

All as per item No 12 here in before but depth 60mm to 100mm complete all as specified. Note for item Nos 12 & 13 (i) Contractors shall quote their rates by considering only materials required for execution of these items . (ii) Cost of labours & T&P required for execution of these items shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted against Item Nos. 10 & 11

M&L for emergency repairs to potholes of depth 50mm to 60mm deep and area exceeding 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water scouring sunken surfaces in runways, paths etc cutting around edges of depth 50mm to 60mm deep by using electro mechanical cutting machine, making good by applying tack coat of Polymer modified bitumen emulsion 10 Kg per 10 sqm /tack coat of bitumen VG-10 grade @ 5kg per 10 Sqm as suitable for runway surfaces and putting in premixed bituminous asphalt dense concrete using VG-30 grade binder with 6% binder content by weight of total mix for runway ,well rammed/rolled with suitable compactor ( tamping rod or plate vibrator) and sealed with PME and cement OPC 43 Gde,well rammed ,dry and cleaned with blower at same time to open the runway for use all as specified . M&L for cleaning the surface with wire brushes / air blowers and making surface free from dust and loose aggregate and applying one coat of cold polymer modified emulsion (PME) at the rate of 0.70 to 1.00 kg per sqm in original form without diluting water or any other agent and spreading / mopping the emulsion evenly to get uniform appearance after dried up all as specified and as directed. Notes: (a) Polymer modified emulsion will be applied by means of brush / roller immediately after spreading/mopping of emulsion. (b) The following shall deemed to be included in quoted rates. (i)Any excess / wastage of quantity of bitumen emulsion during the application. (ii) Disposal of dust /aggregate/FOD occurred during cleaning of surface away from the runway all as specified. M&L of preparation of damaged / broken concrete pavement slab surface and applying self adhesive and cold apply polymer modified High Tack Bituminous Instant Runway/ Tarmac crack sealing Tape of 75mm width, 2KPa thick having quick release film on one side Runway/ Pavement/ Tarmac crack to form high strength water proof layer complete all as per manufacturer's instruction and as specified and directed. Note:- Material shall be approved by Engr-in-Charge in consultation with user. Contractor shall have no claim whatsover on this account.

M&L of preparation of damaged / broken concrete pavement slab surface and applying self adhesive and cold apply polymer modified High Tack Bituminous Instant Runway/ Tarmac crack sealing Tape of 50mm width, 2KPa thick having quick release film on one side Runway/ Pavement/ Tarmac crack to form high strength water proof layer complete all as per manufacturer's instruction and as specified and directed. Note:- Material shall be approved by Engr-in-Charge in consultation with user. Contractor shall have no claim whatsover on this account.

M & L for making good of cracks, joints, pot hole stuffer in slabs (exposed rigid pavement) of any size and depth , Streaming concrete crack stuffer complete all as specified and directed. Note: Material shall be approved by Engr-In-Charge in consultation with user. Contractor shall have no claim whatsover on this account.

M&L for making good cracks/ broken edges in slabs (exposed rigid pavement) by cutting grooves/ making shapes as directed by Engr-in-charge not exc 10mm wide at top and not exc 40mm deep and applying Bitumen Tubing/Rope for filling of 5 to 7mm width of cracks on the runway with the help of screwdriver pushing it inside the crack then apply direct flame 20-30 seconds through torch method after the complete filling crack. The crack shall be covered/ sealed with instant Runway crack sealing tape complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for making good cracks/ broken edges in slabs (exposed rigid pavement) by cutting grooves/ making shapes as directed by Engr-in-charge exc 10mm wide at top and not exc 40mm deep and applying Bitumen Tubing/Rope for filling of 5 to 7mm to 12.5m width of cracks on the runway with the help of screwdriver pushing it inside the crack then apply direct flame 20-30 seconds through torch method after the complete filling crack. The crack shall be covered/ sealed with instant Runway crack sealing tape complete all as specified and as directed.
