Maintenance of Track mounted equipment like S&T fitting on turnouts including different activities during BCM/TTM/TRR/Engg works as follows:-Specially opening and refixing of DCTC jumpers/AFTC jumpers / Axle counter,transducers during different Engg. works Opening of DCTC /AFTC jumpers /axlecounter transducers digging work from rail to TLJB /TMU /alpha bond 2 /locationis required to be done as per site requirement also after refixing of DCTC /AFTC jumpers /Axle counter transducers needs to be buried in proper depth. It includes drilling hole in rail as per site requirement. The team to be provided forthis work should comprise of : Site supervisor -1 Nos, Blacksmith/Fitter-1 Nosand Helpers-3 Nos. It also includes any work of EOLB or sliding boom and earthing arrangement of Signalling gears. Any other signalling work as per instruction of Railway Engineer. All T&P & Jigs required to execute the work will be supplied by the contractor. (Per Unit= Per Day)

As and when required by the Engineer in charge arranging/providing of labors for 3 various safety related works such as protection of track etc. with contractor's T&P, equipment, hand signal flags, spanners, hammers,etc. as per specification special conditions and detailed scope of work as furnished in the tender and directed by the engineer incharge.

Skilled man power to be provided by contractor for Engg. JCBs working to provide marking & supervisory work for the S&T cables during digging work by JCB's and repairing /restoring/jointing of cables, if damaged Cables & Joints Material will be provided by railway. While 4 Chuna marking will be done by his/her Chuna will provided by contractor information for deputing skilled man power for above work will be provided by Railway Engineer incharge before 24 hours from commencement of digging by JCBs. They will check cables route by Cable route tracer and will do chuna marking and will show the cables(on rough sketch) available in a small length approximate 50-100 meters of digging. Note: Minimum two man will be provided at a time including Cable jointer, they will stay whole time during JCB digging work. (The CV to be got approved by Railway).

Termination of outdoor cables, main cables laid in location boxes,Cable termination rack etc at both ends on ARA terminal or on 8 way terminals or on screw less connectors. Both ends of a cable core terminated shall be counted as one terminal. This includes all associated works of pulling out the cable from underground, peeling off insulation, dressing of cable core supported on sting rod with contractor's own material. The work shall be done as per instructions of Rly engineer at site.

Disconnecting the S bond and alpha bond from the rail by cutting rivets or removing 6 the bolts etc removing them away from track and reconnect the same later on. As per instruction of railway site incharge. The tapper pin,rivets required for reconnecting the bonds will be supplied by railway.

Disconnecting the AFTC lead wire from the rail removing them away from track and 7 reconnect the same later on. The bond plates tapper pins required for refixing the track lead wire would be provided by railway. Removal and refixing of all the track lead wires connected to one unit would constitute one set.

Removing of existing DAC censer/AWS track magnet for replacing clamp assembly , The work shall be done as per instructions of Rly engineer at site

Placing of DWC/GI/ RCC / HDPE pipe in trench for track / road crossing protruding equally outside the rail/road edge on either side.

Drilling of holes of different sizes in rails7.2mm/12mm/16mm/22mm, as per instructions of rly site in charge in rails using contractors own drilling equipment. Power supply for operating drilling equipments to be arranged by contractor.

Excavation of cable trench as per cable route plan, 1 Mtr. deep and of 0.3 Mtr. to 0.6 Mtr wide advised by Engineer-in-charge alongside the track in normal (all type) soil/strata, conforming to distances as per cable route plan and refilling. This work includes clearing of route from bushes 12 etc.,covering of cable laid in trench by loose soil for a layer of 50mm thickness approximately before covering by bricks. The work shall be done as per the extant practice on Western Railway and instructions of Railway Engineer at site. In case 1m depth of trench is not achievable due to site conditions, specific approval of JA grade officer will be required for each site where trench depth of1m is not possible. Without the approval of JA Grade officer, no payment for trenching will be made for trench depth less than 1m

Digging of trench 1.2 M deep from rail flange/ road level and, 0.3Mtr to 0.6 Mtr wide 13 and back filling after placing of DWC/ RCC/GI pipe. (Placing of DWC/RCC/GI pipe covered separately).The ballast disturbed be screened and dressed as required by Engineer-in-charge or his representatives and road tarred immediately. For track crossing, Drg. No. CSTE/3644 Pg.7 of 11 and for Road Crossing, Drg. No. CSTE/3644 Pg. 5 of 11 are to be followed. Running

Laying of S&T Cables of various cores/pairs/quads in trenches/ GIpipes/RCC pipes/DWC pipes/ Trunking. This also includes laying of cables in track crossings & road crossings. Item includes 14 provision of labels of coloured plastic adhesive tapes or any other identifiable material on each cable to give the cable number at each G.P.(Cables will be maggered before and after its laying by contractor under supervision of Railway Representative and he will submit the maggering report of each testing). Length of the cable laid includes the length of the cable coiled for termination purposes.

Jointing of 4 /6 quad /Signaling cable with Heat Shrinkable straight through Jointing 15 Kit. All the material required for the work are to be arrange by contractor himself at his own cost except Thermo shrinkable Joint Kit. After jointing the cable through test such as insulation test, continuity cable losses etc. to be carried out jointly with Railway Engineer. If any defect or any damage is observed during jointing, the contactor has to redo the joint free of cost.

Installation of Earth Electrodes asper Drawing No.SEM2021,19-D6, GI pipe confirming to19-D6IS:1239 of 3.0mm thickness,3.0 meter long,50.0mmdiameter, 5 mm diameter and MS Flat 16 Plate Strip (Specification no. 226STD or latest 35 mm x 6 mm thick for earth connection to Signal post, L/Boxetc. Installation includes Excavation of earth pit,placing & fixing of Earth electrode with construction of cement enclosure to SEM Drawing No. 19-D6and19-D6drawal of 6 SWG GI/Copper cable from earth electrode to goomties,relay room, cabin,station, etc. and drawal ofMS flat 35mm x 6mm for signal post/Location box shall be used as the case may be,including fixing at both ends of the wire/MS flat. This includes transportation of materials. Note: Materials such as charcoals, salt, salammoniac, 6 SWG GI wire, copper lugs with Steel bolts& nuts etc. shall be supplied by the contractor.
