Excavation in trenches in soft/loose soil n.exc. 1.5 m wide & n. exc. 1.5m in depth for foundation etc n. exc 10 sqm on plan getting out complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - Charge

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers n. exc. 25cm in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - Charge

Removing excavated material n. exc. 50 m & depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - Charge.

M&L for repair to unserviceable sluice valve of size 100mm bore by dismantling and opening the gland cap and head of sluice valve and taking out the unserviceable lock nut, fitting the material and fixing new (if required) serviceable spindle &lock nut , grinding the material cutting the threads by lathe machine and fabrication of new lock nut with cutting the threads inside the lock nut according to the spindle threads and refixing in the same position, testing the sluice valve, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - Charge.

M&L for repair to unserviceable sluice valve of size 150mm bore by dismantling and opening the gland cap and head of sluice valve and taking out the unserviceable lock nut, fitting the material and fixing new (if required) serviceable spindle & lock nut , grinding the material cutting the threads by lathe machine and fabrication of new lock nut with cutting the threads inside the lock nut according to the spindle threads and refixing in the same position, testing the sluice valve, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - Charge.

Removing vegetations/bushes/foreign materials etc around the periphery/path of raw water reservoirs 130 Lacs Gallon cap (size of reservoir 136mtrx136mtr),clear water complex, pump houses etc throwing the wastage at a distance not less than 50 mtr as and where complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note -T&P and safety equipment required for the work is to be provided by the contractor.

Dismantling existing valve pit and M&L for construction of valve pit having inside dimensions 600 x600x600 mm comprising of mild steel sheet cover of size 3.0mm thick fitted on mild steel angle 40 mm x 40 mmx 6 mm size with hinges and locking arrangement including painting with 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer and coping with PCC 1 : 2 : 4 type B-1 and brick work with sub class 'B' in cement mortar 1 : 4, internal plastering 15mm thick in cement motar 1 : 3 finished even and smooth without using extra cement and two coats of white wash to internal surfaces of valve pit including preparation and PCC 1:3:6 type C1 as in foundation all as per existing pattern complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.(Note-Cost of earth work and dismantling of damaged valve pit shall be deemed to be included in quoted rate of item.)
