LAYING CABLE : (Common specification for this & same category of items below) : Laying, testing and commissioning of following sizes LV, MV & HV Cables and sealed properly of upto /3.5/ 4 of size PVC caps in designated cable route (in built-up readymade trenches; overhead cable trays; pull through pipes; exposed on wall/ beam/ rakes/ trusses tie/ beam/ embedded in floor or buried directly underground; or through G.I.pipe ). Cables shall be PVC/XLPE insulated; PVC Sheathed; FRLS armoured Aluminium/ Copper Cables or similar types as per IS:1554 (PART-I), IS 7098 PART I & IS 1225-latest version.; Unit rates quoted for installation of cables shall be same irrespective of route and method of laying. The item shall include laying, pulling of cables, proper dressing of cables on cable trays, racks, vertical raceways etc. and supply and installation of saddles, spacers and nylon chord for tying as required, stainless steel/aluminium/lead strip identification tags at strategic points/ every 50 meter intervals, aluminium clamps. etc. The straight through Jointings/ tying of upto 1100V 3/3.5/ 4 core of size armour in the cables should be avoided/ minimised. (Structural steel, tray, pipe, excavation, sand and bricks shall be paid under separate item of BOQ). Item includes transportation from store/yard to site at the place of installation, unpacking, including all labour and materials.Empty drums and excess cable to be rerolled and transported back to desigated store/yard. The designated store/yard will be located inside NRL refinery site or NRMT.

Shifting of transformer from existing location to new location and installation at new location above civil foundation.Necessary rail supports and supports for installation of the transformer shall be under the scope of the bidder.Crane/hydra/tractor-trailer shall be provided by NRL free of cost. Job shall be executed as per direction of E-i-C

Testing and commissioning of transformers upto 1 MVA,11/0.433 KV ONAN with all labour and materials , as per direction of E-I-C.

FORMWORK Providing and fixing plywood centring and shuttering straight / inclined, in foundations for footings, rafts, retaining walls, trenches, pedestals, pipe sleepers, culverts, drains, pipe way bridges, tunnels, liquid storage structures etc. including keeping the same in position during concreting and removal of the same after specified period, keeping necessary provision for inserts, projecting dowels etc., tools, equipments and labour necessary for the work all compete, and as specified and directed.

DEFORMED/TMT STEEL BARS FOR CONCRETE Supply and fixing in position TMT reinforcement bars Fe500D conforming to IS-1786 (FY=500 MPa) for RCC work including the cost of steel and cost of binding wire, carting the same to site of work, straightening, cleaning, cutting, binding with 18 SWG black soft annealed binding wire, and placing with proper cover blocks, supports, chairs, spacers, complete for all heights and depths complete as per drawing & specification. Supply and spreading of approved fine river sand in cable trenches including all labour and materials complete as per specifications and direction of Engineer- in-charge.

Supply and laying of approved second class bricks of thickness 3" in cable trenches for cable protection including all labour and materials complete as per specifications and direction of Engineer- in-charge.(Actual area of laid brick surfaces shall be measured).

Supply of sealing compound (Bituminous tar/eqv) heating & pouring of compound in the metallic pipes for providing effective cable sealing.

Supply, fabrication and installation of canopies for miscellaneous outdoor equipment like motors, fire alarm points, telephones, communication hand set stations etc. to render them weatherproof made out of 1.6 mm (16 gauge) sheet steel including supply of hardware and paint, painting, including all labour and materials, as per approved drawings, specifications of this tender and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
