Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth, for foundation of poles, stays, struts or for laying cables/pipes etc., not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.5m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: 1. If new cable is laid as replacement of old cable in the same trench, all excavation and earth work shall be measured only once. 2. If any pipe is laid in trenches as cable protection, all excavation and earth work shall be measured either for cable or for pipe only and not for both. 3. If cable is laid in tiers and in loops, all excavation and earth work shall be measured accordingly.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm each as in soils complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated material (soils) to a distance not exceeding 50 metres and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

NOTE for all items of cable: 1. Cable test results like continuity test, megger test shall be submitted to Engr-in-charge before the cable is laid. 2. Necessary excavation and earth work shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this schedule.

M&L for HDPE DWC (Double wall corrugated) pipe of size 77mm (Outer diameter) x 63mm (Inner diameter) along with connected accessories like couplers, bends, end caps etc., laid in trenches/floors/ducts or fixed on poles/walls for as in protection of LT/ HT cable complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for HDPE DWC (Double wall corrugated) pipe of size 120mm (Outer diameter) x 103.5mm (Inner diameter) along with connected accessories like couplers, bends, end caps etc., laid in trenches/floors/ducts or fixed on poles/walls for as in protection of LT/ HT cable complete all as specified and as directed.

Disconnecting old serviceable /under rated LT UG cables of size 3½ core, 50 to 150 Sqmm from its connections, taking out the cable from trenches or drawing out from the pipe and shifting the cable from existing location (power house) to different location (feeders/jetty/any other location) and re-using the same by laying in trenches / ducts or passing through pipes or fixed on walls / pole with suitable clamps/saddles and connecting up with suitable size of lugs, glands and jointing material complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: Necessary excavation earth work will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this Schedule

Disconnecting old serviceable /under rated LT UG cables of size 3½ core, 185 to 500 Sqmm from its connections, taking out the cable from trenches or drawing out from the pipe and shifting the cable from existing location (power house) to different location (feeders/jetty/any other location) and re-using the same by laying in trenches / ducts or passing through pipes or fixed on walls / pole with suitable clamps/saddles and connecting up with suitable size of lugs, glands and jointing material complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: Necessary excavation earth work will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this Schedule

M&L for removing carefully existing cables, earth strips/wires of any type from existing damaged cable trays of any size, type and from any location etc., and supply and fix new hot dip galvanized iron perforated cable trays of size 250mm wide x 50mm high, made of 2 mm thick GI sheet, vertically/horizontally on walls/ buildings/ floors/ roofs etc., including fixing them with necessary fasteners / nuts and bolts, coupler plates and all connected accessories as per site requirement, replacing and securing the existing cables, earth strips/wires back in position on new cable trays complete all as specified and as directed. M&L for mild steel framed brackets fabricated made out of angles or tees, web and flanges and in panel doors etc., cut to shape, drilled and countersunk for screw, including bending and welding angles, as necessary, gusset plates, riveting, etc., conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 including fabrication, fixing and painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer including dismantling existing old unserviceable brackets and the like complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for mild steel work as in cross arms, bracings, supports, clamps and back plates fabricated from structural steel sections including bolts, nuts, washers, welding, bending cold or hot, drilling holes for bolts, in any shape or size as indicated or directed and inclusive two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer including dismantling old unserviceable steel sections complete all specified and directed.

M&L for cable jointing kit for LT UG cable, 1100V grade, straight through, heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3½ core, 50 to 150 Sqmm XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cable jointing kit for 1100V grade LT UG cable, 1100V grade, straight through, heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3½ core, 185 to 240 Sqmm XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cable jointing kit for 1100V grade LT UG cable, 1100V grade, straight through, heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3½ core, 300 to 500 Sqmm XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for earthing complete with GI earth plate electrode of size 600mmx600mmx6mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below the normal ground level) with top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level connected to 32x6mm GI earth strip as earth lead connected by means of bolts, nuts, washers and check nuts made out of galvanised iron or steel all as shown on electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I connected to common earth dolly including testing on completion complete all as specified and directed. NOTES: 1) The unit rate shall also include for earth work in any type of soil, PCC (1:3:6) type C1 chamber, pre-cast RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate cover 50mm thick reinforced with TMT bars 8mm dia @ 100mm c/c both ways, funnel with watering pipe 20mm dia medium grade, GI protection pipe light grade 40mm dia and wire mesh complete in addition to item No. 1(a) to (e) of preamble (notes) under sub-heading earthing, specified on Sl. Page Nos. 422 & 423 of SSR Part-II. 2) Earthing lead and GI protection pipe beyond 7.5m will be measured and paid separately.

S&F Galvanised iron strip 32x6mm buried in ground or fixed to walls/poles with necessary clamps, bolts and nuts including taking down old unserviceable strip complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down/removal of old burnt/damaged LT cable end termination after isolating supply to transformer/LT pillar box/LT panel and disconnecting burnt/faulty cable from the bunch of cable gland, M&L for new termination with suitable size of lugs duly crimped for LT, 1100 volts, 3½ core 95 Sqmm to 500 Sqmm, armoured aluminium conductor cables and connecting back with new nuts, bolts and washers of nickel chromium and applying petroleum jelly after end termination, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and as directed.

Lifting RCC cover slabs of size 2 to 4 metres long, 1.0 metre width and upto 300 mm thick and about 2.5 to 4.0 tons in weight lying on jetty by cutting/chipping the clearance groove all around, stacking aside carefully using suitable lifting machinery/crane without causing any damage to the existing structure, carrying out cleaning of cable duct of size 2 to 4 metres in width and 1.0 metre depth, lifting and placing the cables aside, any numbers of size 3½ core x 240 to 500 Sqmm or taking slightly above the duct with and including cost of minor tools etc., pumping out the stagnated water from the duct, removing all mud/sludge and clean the entire duct, cleaning the cables and placing back in position side by side or on supporting angles and replacing the RCC cover slabs back in position over the duct at Naval wharf and removing the rubbish from site to outside MD land complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE: One meter length of duct will be measured as one unit.

M&L for 100mm dia or bore galvanised steel tubing, medium grade as in cable protection at road crossing or fixed on poles etc., including taking out old rusted GI pipes complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for mild steel chequered plates conforming to Fe-410-W (Gde-E-250) Quality 'A', of any thickness by cutting/ making into required shape, providing necessary angular supports and handles with 6 mm dia rod as per the site conditions by welding etc., including painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer and laid over cable trenches of various substations including dismantling old unserviceable ones complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking out existing old unserviceable copper bus bar of any size or shape and S&F new copper bus bar of existing suitable size and capacity to suit the requirement with proper bakelite highlam sheet, insulators, GI bolts, nuts and washers of required size for mounting including reconnecting the electric cables complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F Indoor LT panel / LT pillar box of dimensions 2.4m x 1.3m x 0.5m size with following specifications. Fabrication Details : CPRI approved Main frame 3.15mm thick CRCA sheet, partition sheets / covers / doors of 3.15 mm thick CRCA sheet, gland plates 3.15 mm thick MS sheet (undrilled), all over body front and back cover with hinges and aldrops for locking arrangements duly 1 mm thick FRP coated all over external surfaces and 2 mm thick MS sheet for bus bar cover panel partitions and bottom cable entry covers duly painted with one coat of red oxide and two coats of synthetic enamel paint with control wiring to complete LT panel with 2.5 Sqmm FRLS copper cable and 6 A MCB's, meters, indication lamps, base frame on ICMS channel with provision of incoming and outgoing cable entry at the bottom for outdoor installation, free standing floor mounted with degree of protection IP-54 and locking arrangements including taking down old unserviceable LT panel complete all as specified and as directed.

Bus bar details: Material shall be aluminum bus bar, sleeving heat shrinkable type, with bus bar sizes for phase 40x20mm aluminium flat, neutral 40x10mm aluminium flat and bus bar support of epoxy type. Painting Details : Pillar box shall be powder coated and painted with two coats of synthetic enamel spray paint over a coat of redoxide primer and marking of details of capacity/ rating/ incoming/ outgoing/ danger notice board in capital English alphabets with red colour radium sticker of required size. Fabrication Details : CPRI approved Main frame 3.15mm thick CRCA sheet, partition sheets / covers / doors of 2.0mm thick CRCA sheet, gland plates 2.0mm thick MS sheet (undrilled), all over body front and back cover with hinges and aldrops for locking arrangements duly 1 mm thick FRP coated all over external surfaces and 2 mm thick MS sheet for bus bar cover panel partitions and bottom cable entry covers duly painted with one coat of red oxide and two coats of synthetic enamel paint with control wiring to complete LT panel with 2.5 Sqmm FRLS copper cable and 6 A MCB's, meters, breaker control supply and indication lamps, base frame on ICMS channel with provision of incoming and outgoing cable entry at the bottom for outdoor installation, free standing floor mounted with degree of protection IP-65 and locking arrangements including taking down old unserviceable LT panel complete all as specified and as directed.
