Applying of (FG)Epoxy inside to the 8 No Mild Steel cylindrical &Elipticalwater tanks at various lift schemes of VIP Belt as per the procedure & details given under; a) Dewatering/ Drying & Surface preparation; Dewatering of any left over water at the base of the tanks & its complete drying by air blast to ensure complete drying. • Surface must be dry, clean & free from contaiminants, ensure removal of dirt, dust & other contaiminants, that; could interfere with adhesion of the coating. Remove all traces of oil, grease as per sspc-sp1 solvent cleaning &contaiminants with suitable degreaser, detergent. Remove all rust & lose material by power tool cleaning St 3 or wire brushing/hand tool cleaned St 2. The steel surface should be sanded up to Sa21/2. High pressure fresh water washing or scrubbing to remove any lose paint/rust &contaimination. Application of wash primer to damaged or rusted surface is recommended prior to the application of Epoxy FG. Paint. Surface should be checked & treated in accordance with ISO 8504 prior to priming. b) Application Conditions; *Substrate temperature should not be less than 100C & not above 500C. *Relative Humidity should be below 85% * Good ventilation is required in confined area to ensure proper curing. c) Mixing; * The contents of the base can should be stirred thoroughly to dispense any settlement. The entire contents or the hardner should be poured into the base container & mixed thoroughly as per the mixing ratio until a uniform consistency is obtained. It is recommended that mechanical mixing should be employed using a mixer or heavy duty slow speed electric drill fitted with paddle. *Once the unit has been mixed it should be consumed within the working pot life. Part mixing strictly not allowed. d) Application; * No of Coats; 2 * Application rate/coat; 4.8sq.mtr/l at 15Omicrons Theoritical Wet Film Thickness & Dry Film Thickness. *Minimum Application Temperature; 100C * Over Coating interval at 300C.; (Hours) Minimum; 16 Hours Maximum; 5 days at 300C. • Drying Time at 300C ; Surface dry; 2 hours Hard Dry; 16 hours Should be applied with a suitable steel nylon type brush. The first coat must be firmly applied & be well scrubbed into the surface, ensuring a uniform coating with a wet film thickness not less than 125microns. The firm coat should be allowed to become tack free. The second coat should be applied exactly as first again achieving a wet film thickness not less than 125microns (Brand to be approved is; Asian/Nitocote EP-405/ Nerolac only & its authentication to be done by company reprenstative
Applying of surface tolerant epoxy coating (Rust o Cap CTG) outer tank surface with two component, high build, self priming surface tolerant epoxy coating on the outer surface of MS Tanks, base frame, Liners, & pipe network of 150mm/100mm/80mm & 65mm by way of procedure & details given here under; a) Surface preparation; • Surface must be dry, clean & free from contaminants. • Ensure removal of dirt, dust, oil & all other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion of the coating. Oil & grease should be removed as per SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning. • Surface should be checked & treated in accordance with ISO 8504 prior to priming. • Steel, abrasive blast clean to min. SSPC-SP6 • Power tool cleaned to St 3 or hand tool cleaned to St 2 • High pressure fresh water washing or scrubbing to remove loose paint & contamination. Damaged & rusty areas to be derusted to minimum St3/St2 by power tool/hand tool cleaning. b) Application Conditions; • Substrate temperature should be at least 30 C above dew point but not above 500C. • Relative humidity should be below 85% c) Mixing; • Rust O Cap is supplied in two packs . Stir the base & hardener separately. Use hand stirrer or power stirrer for homogenous mixing. • Mix the hardener gradually into the base under continuous stirring as per the mixing ratio. d) Application; * Colour; Greys/Green/Silver * No of Coats; 2 * Application rate/coat; 7.5 sq.mtr/ltr at 15Omicrons Theoritical Wet Film Thickness & Dry Film Thickness. *Minimum Application Temperature; 100C * Over Coating Time; (Hours) 12 hours at 300C. • Drying Time at 300C Surface dry; 2 hours Hard dry ; 12 hours Fully Cured 7 days at 300C. Should be applied with a suitable steel nylon type brush. The first coat must be firmly applied & be well scrubbed into the surface, ensuring a uniform coating with a wet film thickness not less than 125microns. The firm coat should be allowed to become tack free. The second coat should be applied exactly as first again achieving a wet film thickness not less than 125microns (Brand to be approved is; Asian/Nerolac only &its authentication to be done by company reprenstative)
