Periodic Renewal and Five Years Maintenance of the PMGSY Road From Marthandampatti - Venkateswarapuram road Km 0/0-3/275 in Vilathikulam Block in Pkg.no TN25-53

Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting wild vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees of girth upto 300 mm, removal of stumps of such trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, upto a lead of 1000 m including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150 mm in thickness as per Technical Specification Clause 201.

Earth Work Excavataion and depositing on back with an initial of 10m and lift 2m in Hard stiff clay, stiff black cotton, hard red earth, shales, murram, gravel, stoney earth and earth mixed with small size boulders SS 20A

Providing and Laying Red Gravel for soling & for side berms to 100 mm compacted thick including cost & conveyance of gravel from approved sources to work site including labour for spreading, watering and compacting by Power roller to achieve the required Proctor density at 100% compaction at optimum moisture content and hire & fuel charges for power roller , water sprinkler and all other incidental charges such as traffic barricading and providing danger lights etc, complete.

Providing Advance BT patches using 45 mm IRC metal premixed with 44 Kg of bitumen including removal of failed material, trimming the sides to vertical and leveling the bottom, cleaning the same with compressed air or any appropriate method, filled with 50mm thick BM, after applying bitumen emulsion tack coat at the bottom and sides as per technical specifications clause 502, 503 and 504.

Providing and laying tack coat over the BT surface using 3.00 Kg of Emulsion bitumen for 10 sqm. Including cost of bituminous emulsion which will be supplied by departmental section store and the cost will be recovered from the contractor at the rate noted in the special conditions and including labour charges for preparing the surface for laying tack coat and for applying required quantity of bituminous emulsion by mechanical sprayer including hire and fuel charges for all tools and plants employed etc., complete as per clause 503 of MOST specification.

Providing, laying and rolling of open-graded premix carpet of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm to 5.6 mm aggregates either using penetration grade bitumen or emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 kN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B or Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 508.

Providing and laying seal coat sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type A, Type B and Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 510

Reinforced cement concrete M15 grade kilometre stone/local stone of standard design as per IRC:8 fixing in position including painting and printing etc., as per drawing and Technical specification clause 1703 Ordinary Kilometer Stone (Precast)

Routine Maintenance after completion of work

Towards the charges for routine maintenance of the road work executed under Bharat Nirman including dressing of bermsby refilling the gully with form berms, desilting of side drains and CD works , Whitewashing guardstones, painting of KM & HM stones,Parapets, cutting of breaches of trees, refixing displaced guard stones , caution boards, speed limit boards etc with the periodiocity for the above actitvities as prescribed in IRC SP 20-2002 and as directed by the departmental officers except for the constructional defects which has to be rectiufied by the contractor at his own cost.
