| 1 | Dismantling/removal of unserviceable spare parts and components of the overhead travelling and moving mechanisms of EOT/HOT cranes of capacity up to 10 Ton, at site, including replacement of defective parts and complete re-assembly of all connected accessories, including reconnection of electrical connections, all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. One Crane Mechanic along with one Helper shall remain available during the maintenance process of the cranes. The required spare parts for maintenance shall be measured and paid for separately. The cost of all minor spares and consumable items required for the work, other than those specifically identified for separate measurement and payment, shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate.
Note:
(i) Spare parts shall be ordered from the Contractor in writing by the Engineer-in-Charge, as and when required.
(ii) The Contractor shall have no claim whatsoever on account of ordering or non-ordering of the required spare parts, whether in full or in part.
(iii) The make and model of replacement parts shall be the same as those of the existing parts installed on the cranes, unless otherwise approved/directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
(iv) The cranes covered under this item are:
(a) TIB Udyog – 06 Nos.
(b) Electro-Mech – 01 No.
(v) All necessary T&P (Tools & Plants), hydraulic ladders, scaffolding systems, access arrangements, lifting arrangements and testing equipment, as required for safe and proper execution of the work, shall be arranged by the Contractor at his own cost.
(vi) The Contractor shall carry out all dismantling, replacement, fitting, alignment, re-assembly, electrical reconnection, testing and commissioning necessary to restore the crane/component to satisfactory working condition, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. | 7 | Each Job | - | - |
