REPAIR MAINT OF BEIRCHA PUMP HOUSE AND CLEANING OF WATER CHANNEL AND OTHER CONNECTED WORKS AT BEIRCHA UNDER GE MIS MHOW

M&L for MS pipes, 200 mm dia, 6 mm thick, with double flanged ends, including all required bends and fittings, for fixing with pump set suction and delivery lines and for integrating with the existing main header line. The work includes fabrication and installation using gas welding for providing bends, tees, and other minor modification works required at site, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking up CI water mains (including all fittings) of 250 mm bore, with spigot-and-socket ends and lead joints, including burning out the joints and removing the pipe sections for cleaning. The work includes cleaning the internal surface of the pipeline by removing rust, sand, mud, and other deposits using 25 mm dia cleaning rods/pipes with mechanical machinery, from one end to the other, for a minimum length of 200 RM, and refixing the pipeline in its existing alignment after cleaning, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for cleaning of Beircha Lake channel by deploying adequate manpower, including complete dewatering of the channel using mud pumps, removal of grass, bushes along the channel banks, and removal of accumulated mud, grass, rust, etc. The work also includes scrapping/cleaning of channel walls and floor, followed by applying two coats of white wash/distemper to the entire channel, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The contractor is advised to visit the site prior to quoting. The quoted rate shall be deemed to include the cost of all required manpower, mud pumps with fuel, tools & plants (T&P), and any other resources necessary for execution at site. No extra payment shall be made on this account.

Taking up cast iron water main 250 mm bore from trenches carefully without any damage |(including all fittings) with spigot and socket ends and lead joints including burning out joints and recovering lead complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, laying and testing of centrifugally cast (Spun) ductile iron pressure pipe 250 mm bore, Class K-7 with spigot and socket end pipes suitable for tyton joints duly applied with zinc coating with finishing layer of bitumen on external surfaces and cement mortar lining with bituminous seal coat on internal surfaces complete confirming to IS-8329 (2000) including EPDM gaskets, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in Charge.

S&F in replacement butterfly valves 100 mm bore gear operated having epoxy coated cast iron body, PN 1.6, ISI marked SGI disc with integral seat of nitrle rubber complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in Charge.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.50 m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m deep with manual diging in any type of soil for foundation, laying pipe etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. and getting out complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in soft/loose soil including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layers n.exc 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material (Soils) to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc. 1.50 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for construction of valve chamber (in replacement) 1200 x 1200 x 1200 mm (internal dimensions), 6 mm thick MS sheet cover with 2 Nos MS hinges welded to angle iron frame of 40x40x6mm thick with lifting hook and locking arrangement complete with necessary earth work, brick work in cement mortar (1:6), PCC bed (1:4:8) type D2 (using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) 150 mm thick, cement plastering 15 mm thick in cement mortar (1:4) and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer to the steel surfaces including dismantling and removal of old unserviceble valve pit complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement copper lugs of 50 sqmm including taking out old unserviceable one in motor terminal plate complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for dismantling the electric induction motor of capacity 50 HP, 415/440 V, 3-Phase, 50 Hz, of any make and type, from the foundation of the pump after disconnecting electric cable connections, earthing, etc., and transporting it to the civil workshop for repairs and rewinding. The work includes opening the motor, removing the defective and burnt winding, cleaning the rotor and stator, rewinding the motor with super-enamelled copper winding wire of suitable gauge and number of turns as per the original design with proper insulation, varnishing with Class ‘B’ insulating varnish, reassembling the complete motor, transporting it back to site, refixing in its original position with electric cable connection, earthing, proper alignment with pump, and testing on full load after coupling with pump to ensure satisfactory performance, all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) The cost of super-enamelled copper winding wire is deemed to be included in the quoted rate; no extra payment shall be made on this account. (ii) All T&P, vehicles, labour, consumables, etc., required for dismantling, transportation, repair, refixing, alignment, and testing shall be arranged by the contractor. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of these provisions. No extra payment shall be made on this account.

All as per ser item No.12.00 above but of capacity 40 HP electric induction motor complete all as specified and directed.

All as per ser item No.12.00 above but of capacity 30 HP electric induction motor complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for disconnecting the centrifugal pump of capacity 50 HP, of any make and model, from the motor and all connected water pipelines, removing/taking out the pump from the foundation, and transporting it to the authorised workshop of the original pump manufacturer for repair/overhauling. The work includes strip opening the pump, replacing all defective/unserviceable parts such as bearings, shaft, impeller, bush, gland plate, etc., complete; reassembling the pump including oiling, greasing, and replacement of worn-out nuts, bolts, gaskets, etc.; transporting back to site; refixing the pump in its original position; reconnecting all connections; commissioning and testing for smooth, vibration-free and noise-free operation, all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: 1.The following parts shall be replaced as required and are deemed to be included in the quoted rate. No extra payment shall be made on this account:- (i) Ball bearings, (ii) Shaft, (iii) Impeller, (iv) Bush, (v) Gland plate, (vi) Stuffing box packing, (vii) Cooling tube with banjo nut, (viii) O-ring, (ix) Shoulder ring, (x) Gasket/packing, (xi) Vent valve (xii) Gland rope (xiii) Set of rubber oil seals. 2. All T&P, labour and vehicles required for dismantling, transportation, repair, reinstallation and testing shall be provided by the contractor at his own cost. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of all these provisions. No extra payment shall be made on this account.

M8&L for brick work with flyash bricks using straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius built in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

M8&L for rendering 15 mm thick using cement plaster of 1:4 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surface finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F MS angle iron framed work for grills, gratings, gates, ladders, wire-mesh framework, guard bars, etc., fabricated using 50×50×6 mm, 40×40×6 mm, 35×35×6 mm angle iron, chequered plate, square and round bars, MS flats, medium channels, 6 mm thick MS plate, and wire mesh. The work includes cutting, welding, grinding, fixing in position with proper locking arrangements, and all necessary fittings, complete as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of newy plastered surfaces of walls and applying three coats of white wash complete all as specified and as directed.
