CWE/KAS-88/2025-26 REPAIR/ MAINTENANCE OF INTERNAL ROAD INCLUDING ROAD FURNITURE AND ROAD PAINTING AT MIL STN KASAULI, DAGSHAI, SOLAN AND SUBATHU UNDER GE KASAULI

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the clean surfaces with gunny bags to remove loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Applying evenly a tack coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS: 8887 (latest revision) at a rate of application of 2.5 kg/10 sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRT&H specifications for Road and Bridge works (Fifth revision), using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Bitumenous concrete (BC) 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) layer conforming to clause 507 of MoRT&H specifications for Road and Bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, with 5.4% binder (VG-30) contents by weight of total mix, crushed aggregate of grading 2, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved job mix formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen of specific temperature thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives as per mix design in hot mix plant (batch type), carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved and suitable arrangements, laying hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber through rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary contd..

M&L for Providing, laying & Compaction of bituminous macadam (BM), compacted thickness not less than 40 mm conforming to clause 504 of MoRT&H specification for Road and Bridge works (Fifth Revision) using mechanically crushed stone aggeagates and granual material etc of grading II as per Table 500-7 of MoRT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision) premixed with bitumenous binder Bitumen grade VG-30 @3.4% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch type Hot Mix Plant transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equipped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 Sqm each including sweeping from from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to atleast 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Applying evenly a priming coat conforming to clause 502 of MORT&H Specification for Road and Bridge work (Fifth Revision) with cationic bituminous emulsion SS1 grade conforming to IS-8887 (latest edition) @ 7.5 kg/10 Sqm using primer distributor which shall be self propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5 mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows, padestrian crossings and the like exceeding 10 cm width on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with 20% of glass beads (intermixed) by special applicator machine (automatic mechnical engine driven machine) all as per manufacturer's instruction complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
