Excavation in earth work in by mechanical in all heights and depths in all kinds of soils, including saturated soils comprising of pick work, jumper work and blasting work both in soft and hard rock with chiseling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) and their intermediate classification of soils including, dewatering wherever required, setting of to the required lines, levels as shown on the drawing and directed by the Engineer -in-charge at site., according to the HP.PWD. specification of 1990 (one thousand nine hundred ninety) volume-I (one) and sorting out useful and unuseful material and transportation of the unuseful material for disposing at dumping site (To be arranged by the contractor) on his own cost as per satisfaction of Engineer- in -charge through all modes of transportation including head load ,animal load or mechanical means along with its leveling fine dressing and with all kinds of labour, machineries, tools equipments and safety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and labour ( if required ). All useful material such as stones, shingles aggregate and slates shall be properly stacked at site to the maximum possible extent in all leads and lifts through all modes of transportation as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. Any loss to the public and private propriety during the course of execution and disposal of serviceable and unserviceable materials shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor and shall have to be duly compensated by him in all respects including all incidental charges.

Earth work in excavation for structure in all depths as per drawing and technical specification for rural roads August 2004 clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal in all leads and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable materials. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) all earth work in cutting/ excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades, side slopes, width , camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge hauling and stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. If the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other causes it shall be remove by suitable diversion bailing out or pumping as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. All the surplus excavated earth to be dumped at dumping site(dumping sites will be arranged by the contractor on his own cost).Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be dully compensated by him at his on cost in all cases. including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying concrete for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802,803,1202 and 1203 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. (a) Cement Mortar 1:6:12(One cement:Six sand:Twelve graded stone aggregate 40mm(forty milimetre) nominal size).

Providing and laying concrete for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802,803,1202 and 1203. (a) Cement Mortar 1:4:8(one cement:four sand:eight graded stone aggregate 40mm(forty milimetre) nominal size) including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. .

Providing and Laying cement concrete 1:4:8 (one cement :four sand:eight graded ) with 15% (fifteen percenet) plams and curing complete including the cost of farmwork for plain/reinforced concrete in retaining walls, breast walls, the size of plum should be 150 to 300 mm (one hundred fifty to three hundred milimetre) as per drawing and HP.PWD technical specifications.

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4mm dia GI wire conforming to IS:280 and IS:4826 in 100mm x 100mm mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 per cent extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 25 Kg. each as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 1301 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Backfilling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as per drawings & technical specification Clause 1204.3.8. including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. (i)Granular material

Providing weapholes in brick masonry / stone masonry /plain reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall, return wall with 100 mm(one hundred milimetre) dia PVC pipe extending through the full with of the structures with slop of 1(v):20(H) towards drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 614, 709, 1204.3.7 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providng and laying reinforced cement concrete pipe NP2 (Two) 900mm (nine hudnred milimetre) dia for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1:2(One cement:two sand) but excluding excavation, protection work, back filling, concrete and masonry work in head walls and parapets complete as per drawing and MORD technical specification clause 1108 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying flooring laid over cement concrete bedding complete as per drawing and technical specification Clause 1303 including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. (a) Rubble stone laid in cement morat 1:3(One cement :three sand)

Construction of unlined surface drain of average X-Section area 0.40 Sqm (zero point four zero square metre) in ordinary rocks to specified lines, grades, levels and dimensions as per approved design amend technical specifications clause 304 excavated material to be used in embankments at site by mechanical means including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Preparation of sub grade by dressing to camber (Earth work for the cutting involved for sub-grade to be paid for separately depending upon the classification of soil completed as per HP PWD Specifications including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Consolidation of sub grade with road roller including making good the undulation etc. with earth or quarry soil etc. and re-rolling the sub-grade completed as per HP PWD specification including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Stone soling properly hand packed filling interstices with spalls and consolidating with hand rolling to the requested gradient and camber including spreading watering and rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per HP PWD specification 100mm (One hundred milimetre)spread thickness (finished work including materials and labour) including carriage of materials in all leads and lifts as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
