Supply, installation, commissioning and testing of silent type diesel engine driven generating set with canopy as per guideline issued by (Ministry of Environment & forest notification dated 12 July 2004, Central pollution control board letter No B-31613/7/93/PCI-II dated 19th Jan 2005 & Noise pollution control rules 2000 dated 14 Feb 2000), 415 volts, 0.8 power factor, 3 phase, 50 Hz supply complete with panel for automatic starting on main failure control panel suitable for giving an output of 40 KVA / 32 KW at NTP capable of operating between temperature range -40ºC to +35ºC (at Leh (ladakh) (Automatic on main failure & alternator of suitable capacity and RPM coupled with each other & capable of taking 10% over load for one hour on every 12 hours (as per BS-5513/649) with flexible coupling mounted on common base plate on antivibration pads on foundation as recommended by manufacturer. The DG set shall comprise of Electric starter motor with batteries, turbo starter comprising all standard fittings, fixtures & all piping etc as below :-

(A) ALTERNATOR:- Alternator 40 KVA / 32 KW output at 0.8 PF AC 3 wire 415 volts 50 C/S, self exited, self regulated, screen protected drip poof type with two end shield ball/ Roller bearing with damper winding in each pole faces as per IS-4722/ BS 2613 all as specified and directed.

(B) DIESEL DRIVEN ENGINE :- Diesel Engine water cooled and electric starter suitable to drive above alternator independently, coupled directly through flexible coupling, multi cylinder four stroke, cold starting, 1500 RPM industrial type as per BS-5514/BS-649 with AI electronic governor suitable to regulate speed of DG set from No load to full load completed with fuel tank of cap as per manufacturer recommendations, fuel lines exhaust pipe duly insulated with asbestos rope and with support and silencer mufflers etc for continuous operation and standard accessories, sump pre heaters etc all as specified and directed. Make:- Cummins Model No 6BTAA 5.9-G13 or equivalent as mentioned in the list of make

(D) ACOUSTIC ENCLOSURE:-- The sound attenuated DG sets are designed and engineered by the CAD/CAM experts conforming to international standards and mandatory noise level norms achieving noise level 70-75 dB at 1 meter distance. The system is made of high class sheet metal fabricated panels of 16 G thickness having modular construction with multi-fold sheet channels and ISMC section for ease of assembly and dismantling and High Quality FIRE PROOF ACOUSTIC material i.e Foam. An additional axial flow fan way may be provided to achieve optimum output and acoustic hoods with noise splitters of required to block and reduce the sound leakage. Residential silencer is provided for maximum noise reduction and specially designed vibration isolators are used to restrict the transfer of vibration from the DG set to the body panels and its surroundings. The enclosure sheets are having a seven tank treatment with powder coating from inside and outside for longer life.

(E) ELECTRIC STARTER EQUIPMENT:- The equipment will comprise the following:- (i) Maint free Battery duly initially charged and Battery lead of adequate capacity. (ii) Starter motor. (iii) Starter gearing. (iv) Start/stop push button. (v) Invertor cum battery charger 500 VA capacity suitable to work on 230 Volts 50 Hz AC supply system for charging of DG set batteries externally when DG set is in off position. (vi) Alternator / Dynamo of suitable capacity to charge the batteries while DG set is running complete with auto cut out all as per manufacturer recommendations.

(F) FOUNDATION:- PCC foundation for DG set shall be all as per manufacturer’s instructions/ recommendation or required at site or as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the lump sum cost of DG set quoted by contractor. (G) Base Frame:- Engine and alternator would be duly aligned and coupled with each other on the comman base frame of MS channel
