Spot 1.Leakages in 500 mmrising main near NRV. Rectification of leakages in 500 mm ND, M S Rising near Non return Valve along road side about 40 mtr away from surface station by way of earth work (all kinds of soil) in excavation by manual means. Cutting of the top portion of the rising main using oxy acetylene gas cutter to make a passage of appropriate size for electrode access.Dewatering the excavated trench with Honda pump. Cleaning mud and other accumulated particles from the inside of the rising main and cleaning it properly for undertaking repairs of the damaged spot besides positioning of sand bags in interior of the pipe of facilitate welding work not to be hampered by leaking water in the rising main. Patching of the damaged portion of rising main by way of fabrication providing & welding of MS plate 6 mm thick of size 400 mm x 200 mm. Welding is to be carried out in double layers from the inner side of the rising main.Refitting of the extracted portion at its original position by way of providing of double layer arc welding. Spot 2. Leakages at two places in the rising main near Air release valve at the entry to the approach road of the scheme. Rectification of leakages in 500 mm ND, M S Rising near Air release valve along road side at the entry to the approach road to the scheme about 30 mtr away from main Nishat road by way of earth work (all kinds of soil) in excavation by manual means at two places.cleaning it properly for undertaking repairs of the damaged spot of rising main at two places. Patching of the damaged portions by way of fabrication providing & welding of MS plate 6 mm thick of size 200 mm x 150 mm )2 nos).Welding is to be carried out in double layers from the upper side of the rising main. Spot 3. Leakages in the rising main near Air release valve on the approach Road near Electric Subdivision. Excavating the soil at the spot manually for exposing the leaking portion of the rising main by engagement of highly skilled labour. Dewatering the excavated trench with Honda pump and removing all the water and cleaning it properly for undertaking repairs of the damaged spot. Welding of the cracked spot by way of fabrication providing & welding of MS plate 6 mm thick of size (400 mm long approx.) by providing double layer electric arc welding from the outside. The above jobs includes arrangement of D.G. set, welding machine, gas cutter & other allied accessories for the execution of the above jobs. After executing the repair works at the above spots the job involves testing of the complete rising main on full load for 3-4 hours and refilling of the excavated trenches.
