REPAIR TO ROAD INCLUDING ROAD FURNITURE IN SECTOR B OTM ACCN AREA UNDER AGE B/R-I OF GE (S) PATIALA

Material and labour for preparing existing black top surface by brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc from black top surface and applying evenly a premix /tack coat with bitumen grade VG-10 @ 5.0 Kg per ten Sqm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour for providing and laying Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness 75 mm or less,using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 @ and binder content of 4% by weight of total mix with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. NOTES :(i). The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CI. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech Patiala/NIT Kurukhshetra /PEC Chandigarh/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval bfore commencement of work. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side.(ii) The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If their is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming /tack coat with bitumen grade VG-10 @ 5.0 Kg per ten Sqm over premix bitumous macadam surface complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour for providing and laying Premix Bituminous asphaltic dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder ( using paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2, mixing of agrgregates with VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hyrdostatic paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

(vi). The distance of the HMP shall not be more than 100 KM from the Mil Stn Patiala. Detail of plant to be submitted to GE for approval before date of commencement of the work. (vii). The calibration certificate for HMP shall be submittaed by the contractor for approval of GE before date of commencement of the work which should not be more than 06 months old. (viii). The minimum 2 Road roller each (vibrating and static road roller) are required at site before commencement of the work on the groung and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.

Material and labour for repairs to pot holes any depth not exceeding 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scouring sunken surfacesin roads, path etc cutting edges at least 25 mm depth and making good by applying tack coat with bitumen @ 5 kg/X Sqm, putting in premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 well rammed and sealed with binder @ 9.80 kg mixed with 0.09 cum of stone chippings 6.3 mm size per 10 Sqm and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipings, depth of pot holes exe 30mm thick, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour for 2.50mm thick road marking thermo plastic reflective paint to be carried out mechanically with hot application of material (painting material @ 5 Kg /Sqm ) and glass beads @ 250 gm/Sqm confirming to CI No. 803.4 of MoRTH in strips of 100/150 mm width on road surfaces complete all as specified and as directed bb Engineer-in-charge. Supply and fixing road cat eye 89- 90X101-102 x17mm meeting with ASTM and MORTH standards with yellow reflector yellow body colour and two side retroreflective microprismatic tough polycarbonate lens all as specified. The studs shall be fixed to the road surface using the epoxy / adhesive conforming to IS, as per manufacturers recommendation complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fixing solar road stud/ cat eye shall be produced from an engineered polymer selected for superior impact resistance and weatherability . The top of the marker should be transparent for solar charging and light output in active mode. The base of the body shall be yellow or neutral white as approved by Engineer-in-charge. The marker shall incorporate a solar panel (comprising of solar cells) for converting solar energy into electricity, a storage device for storing the energy, LEDs for illumination and a design for providing 360 degree smooth illumination. The marker shall also have high reflective lenses for conspicuity in passive mode and dual shanks for improved road presence. These markers are intended for application directly onto pavement surfaces and shall be applied with epoxy resin adhesives designed for use with raised pavement markers and as supplied by the marker manufacture separately. The solar cat eye shall be of height : 65 + 2mm & Maximum Diameter: 136 + 4mm. The body of the solar cat eye shall be resistant to dust and water ingress as per IP 65 & IP 68 standards as per testing parameter requirement of MORTH Section 800. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280 complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour for complete removal of existing treatment from old concrete / plastered surface / kerb stones of any description not otherwise described over 10 cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint in two shades ( alternate) as approved complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
