Important Notes: 1. Contractor is required to make arrangements like providing tarpaulins/ledger pipes/clamps consumables etc required to cover the temporary washing area of approx size 5m x 5m which can be taken away after completion of work.No additional cost will be paid in this regard. '2. Valid PVC (Police verification certificate) is mandatory requirement for all Supervisors, Engineers, labourers, Authorised signatories of the contractor and employees of the Contractor until the completion of the work. '3. The schedule of quantities is to be read for the purpose of pricing in conjunction with the special conditions, general rules for the guidance of contractors, conditions of contract, specifications, drawings, schedule of supply of materials and the appendices. '4. The prices inserted in the schedule of quantities shall be inclusive of value of the work described including all cost and expenses, which may be required in and for the construction of the work described together with the general risks, liabilities and obligations not forth or implied in the documents on which the tender is to be based. '5. The quantities stated are to be considered approximate only and the unit prices entered in the schedule of quantities and prices shall apply only to the actual quantities measured in the completed work in accordance with the drawings and specifications. '6. All the materials other than those shown in schedule of supply of materials (Schedule-A) are to be arranged by the contractor and his rates should account for the same. '7. Rates quoted for all items in this tender shall include cost of all materials including cement and steel. Department will not supply any materials and as such the rates quoted must be all inclusive. '8. The contractor shall be responsible for supply of cement and procure Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to IS: 8112/ IS12269 recommended brand as approved by the Engineer-inCharge. and use it on works. Since the supply of cement by the department has been dispensed all the clauses relevant to supply of cement by department in this tender document stands cancelled. The contractor shall purchase cement from the approved manufacturers only. Secured advances on cement shall be paid to the contractor after indemnifying the Government and through insurance cover. The quantity of cement on which secured advance shall be paid will be restricted to the consignment of cement tested and passed in the test in approved laboratory. The secured advance on cement shall be regulated as per Clause 10-B of conditions of contract. Prior approval to be obtained from the Engineer for the quantities proposed to be purchased. '9. For construction water supply & Electrical Power supply, one tapping point near the site will be provided to the contractor. However, necessary BARC approved connection / testing /certification/ shall be carried out at contractors own cost. '10. The tenderer shall provide barricade consisting of MS angle / pipe posts runners, bracing & corrugated GI sheet of approved colour for a height upto 3m Wherever required to separate the working area, maintaining the barricade in good condition including removing the same after completion of the work without any cost to Department. Prior written approval of Engineer in Charge of the sketch / drawing showing details of barricading shall be obtained by the contractor.

11. Contractor shall make necessary arrangements for keeping the site and surroundings clean including the access roads on daily basis. Housekeeping shall be carried out on daily basis No separate payment will be made for the same. '12. The drawings issued for tender purpose are preliminary and indicative only. The working drawing shall be issued in phased manner at the time of execution. Nothing extra shall be entertained towards revision in working drawings. '13.The contractor shall follow strictly the BARC Construction safety manual / DAE safety rules. BARC Construction Safety Manual is available in BARC Website : www.barc.gov.in / tenders. '14. Test for concrete shall be done as per IS 456(latest revision) and the cost of the same shall be borne by the contractor. '15. The contractor is bound to follow BARC Security rules and regulations which are updated from time to time. No additional claim, whatsoever, will be entertained by the Department on this account. '16. The contractor is required to procure materials only from BARC approved manufacturers as mentioned in latest corrigendum of Annexure 'B'-LIST OF APPROVED MANUFACTURER OF BUILDING MATERIALS. '17. Safety posters and Safety ribbon to be fixed and maintained at site at no extra cost.

'STRUCTURAL WORKS & PAINTING WORKS 'Providing and injecting approved non shrink cementitious grout in proportion recommended by the manufacturer into cracks/holes/gaps/honey-comb area of concrete/masonry by suitable gun/pump at required pressure including cutting of nipples after curing etc. complete as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. (The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of approved grout injected.)

Grouting the existing damaged terrace/ chajja water proofing with neat cement slurry including cleaning the suface with pressure water jet, wire brush etc., complete including cost of cement and all materials required for groutng process as per the instruction of the Project Engineer. Providing structural repairs in old damaged concrete structures / surfaces with approved Polymer with following operations 1) Removal of loose/Spalled or damaged concrete by chipping and cleaning the concrete surface and reinforcement steel with wire brush and with water 2) Cleaning the re bars with Acetone for complete rust removal and washing with water to make the surface clean. 3) Applying protective coat / bond coat using polymer and cement in the proportion of 1; 1.5 (1 part of polymer and 1.5 parts of cement in synthetic enamal paint like consistancy with brush 4) Reinstate the area with polymer modified mortar in layers of maximum 20 mm with the proportion of Cement 50 Kg : washed and Quartz sand 87.50 kg ; silica sand 37.50 Kg. mixed with 10 litres of Polymer (or 1 Kg cement : 1.75 kg Quartz sand ; 0.75 Kg silica sand : 200 ml polymer) '5) If thickness of repair exceeds 20mm , after every 20 mm thick repair, bond coat as per 2 above to be applied and further thick of repair to be continued for each layer. Providing , painting and finishing walls with two coats of exterior emulsion paint of approved make on sand face plaster/ plain plaster & concrete of required shade over new work including base coat of water proofing cement paint, preparation of the surfaces, scaffolding complete. as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Providing and fixing double tubular scaffolding system using H-frames with cup lock type on the exterior side upto seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre horizontal and vertical tubes joining with cup and lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S clamps and M.S staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and as approved by the Engineer-in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purposes. The payment shall be ade once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. 'Note : '(1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purposes. '(2) For all items under this work order which require scaffolding, the Scaffolding will be measured and paid only once, irrespective of duration of scaffolding for the entire work and will not be seperately paid for each item. '(3) Scaffolding shall be removed only after completion of all works. '(4) The scaffolding once provided shall be removed after the entire work is neatly completed in all respects and payment shall be made after completion of all works and measurement will be taken only once. (5) Necessary aluminium/ M.S. ladder/staircase module shall be provided at the cost of the contractor, upto the full height of scaffolding at required locations around the building to enable department Engineer/Supervisor to closely supervise the repair work at heights.The cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. '(6)Contractor has to make arrangement at his own expenses for temporary sealing of windows/openings with plywood, to avoid breaking of windows panes, and covering outdoor ac units during the progress of work. '(7) Wherever scaffolding has to be erected over existing lawns or flowerbeds, then all such locations shall be completely covered with tarpaulins before erecting scaffolding. '(8) Safety nets and nylon screens shall be provided for full height of scaffolding to prevent falling of debris and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. '(9) Scaffolding shall be erected as per the provisions of IS 3697. '(10) All safety precautions and measures shall be taken as per BARC Construction safety Manual

'ROOFING WORKS 'Providing and fixing UV stabilised fibre glass reinforced plastic sheet roofing / vertical lines upto any pitch including fixing with polymer coated 'J' or 'L' hooks, bolts and nuts 8 mm dia. G.I. plain / bitumen washers complete but excluding the cost of purlins, rafters, trusses etc. The sheets shall be opaque or translucent, clear or pigmented, textured or smooth as specified and as directed by the Enginer-in-charge. 2.0 mm thick corrugated (2.5" or 4.5"or 6") 'Note:(1) Only visible plan area of the sheets fixed will be measured flat for payment and sheet overlaps will not be measured. 'WATERPROOFING WORKS 'Providing and laying 3 courses of water proofing treatment with bitumen felt cover roofs consisting of first and third courses of blown bitumen 85 / 25 or 90 / 15 confirming to IS 702 applied hot @ 1.45 kg/Sq.M of area for each course, second course of roofing felt type-3 Grade-1 ("Hessian based self finished bitumen" felt) including preparation of surface but excluding grading complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Supplying and applying bituminous solution primer on roof and or wall surface at 0.24 litre per sqm

Surface Preparation by removing the damaged and worn out Tarfelt / APP water proofing treatment from the Terrace, filling the cracks if any with bituminous solution primer, disposing the unserviceable materials within 200 m lead as per specificiations and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge complete

Providing and laying water proofing treatment in sunken portions of WCs, bath rooms etc. by appying cement slurry mixed with water proofing cement compound consisting of applying: (a) 1st layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 kg / sq.m mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.253 kg per sq.m. including injecting cement slurry .This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours. (b) 2nd layer of slurry of cement @ 0.242 kg / sq.m mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.126 kg / sq.m. This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours followed with water curing for 48 hours. The rate includes preparation of surface, treatment and sealing of all joints, corners, junctions of pipes and masonry with cement slurry. Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4 (using crushed sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound conforming to relevant IS and approved by Engineer-in-charge including mixing 'RECRON 3S' fibre at the rate of 125 grams per 50 kg of cement in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slury in bottom and all the sides of sunken portion.complete as directed by the Enginer-in-charge. The treatment to be tested for water tightness before filling the sunken areas.

Lead charges for lead Exceeding 3 KM but not exceeding 4 KM, by mechanical transport including loading, unloading, stacking / levelling etc. 'Debris Beyond 3 Km but up to and including 4 km 'Note: The rates in respect of Item Nos 77 are applicable for NET Quantities arrived at after making deduction for voids @ 30% from corresponding TRUCK Measurement
