Determination of safe bearing capacity by SPT method as described below :- (a) Drilling 150 diameter bore holes from 0 to 21 mtr depth according to IS 1992-1988 and IS 1982-1979 . (b) Conducting standard Penetration Test (SPT) as per IS 2131-1988. The testing shall be made at every strata at the interval of not more than 0.5 mtr which ever is less. The test may be made at lesser interval if specified or considered necessary as per 3.31 of IS 2131-1968. (c) Collection of disturbed soil samples at an interval of 0.5 mtr or change of strata. (d) Collection of undisturbed soil sanples at an interval of 0.5 mtr or change of strata. (e) Conducting labaratory test on disturbed/undisturbed soil samples as per project requirement after completion of boring as given below :- (i) Sieve Analysis (ii) Plastic Index (iii) Specific Gravity (iv) Water Content (v) Particle Size Analysis (vi) Bulk and Dary Density (vii) Atterberg Limit (viii) Harmfull salt or organic matter if any (ix) Direct shear test (if in case of sandy) (x) Unconfined un-drained tests (in case of clayed soil) (xi) Consolidation test (for saturated soil) (xii) CO Values (xiii) Differential free swell tests in case of spansive soil tests. (xiv) Unconfined compressive strength of rock (in case rocky strata) (xv) Determination of tensile/shear strength of rock (in case rocky strata) (xvi) Quality index for rockey strata (in case of rocy strata) in case of rock is encountered the boring shall continue upto 1.5 to 2.0 mtr in rock.

Soil investigation report shall be submitted covering the following :- (a) Bore log chart showing depth of soil strata (b) sub soil water tabe (c) Proable maximum and different settlement (d) Safe bearing Capacity based on shear and settlement criteria. (e) Recommendation for type and depth of foundation. (f) Site plan bldg was with RL of corners of building. (g) Bearing capcity and depth of foundationwrt FFL/fixed Bench Mark (The rates quoted by the firm shall be inclusive of all transportation charges, use and waste of T&P scafoldings. Notes :- (a) The location of testing site and bores shall be given by GE(W) Mathura. (b) The soil reports shall be in 3 Parts. (i) Field operations. (ii) Lab testing and sub soil with soil properties. (iii) Fdn consideration and recommendation for single story double storey. (c) The report shall be submitted to GE(West) Mathura in quantuplicate.
