Preparation of berms including filling of earth work excavation and cutting of earth in all kind of soil including dressing the bank, side slope to given levels and templates after breaking of clouds, including the cost of rolling and watering all allowances for labour hardness wetness irrespective of all lead and lift, but including Compensation for earth taken from private land, fields etc. and compacted to meet requirement of table300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305 and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer of the work conforming to PWD specification No. 6.2 and 6.3 and 3.2 and the other specification 1990 1st edition. As per X-section attached at DNIT Note:- No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer.
Providing and laying Bituminous tack coat of Bitumen grade (VG-10) using 2.00 kg per 10 sqm area on existing Bituminous surface complete in all respect including cost of Bitumen VG-10 as per clause No. 503of MoT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th revision of 2013/latest edition. Instruction issued from time to time regarding bitumen VG-10 will be followed strictly.
Providing & Laying 50mm thick compacted Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam (DBM) in one layer with 80-100 TPH batch type hot mix plant and with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibrator and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 505, and 113.3 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th edition) 2013/latest edition using minimum 4.50% to bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respect including cost of bitumen instruction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver finisher with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification is mandatory. If bitumen required more than 4.50% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work.(NS) Note: - Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti stripping agent should not conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and noting extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same be submitted along with bills by the contractor.
Providing & Laying 30mm compacted thickness of Bituminous Concrete (BC) in one layer with 80-100 TPH batch type hot mix plant with bituminous binder CRMB-55 @ 5.4% (minimum) and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, layer with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory or with pneumatic typed roller of 12 to 15 tonne weight with a tyre pressure of at least 0.56 MPa and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 507 of MoRT&H specification (5th Revision) 2013 complete in all respect. If bitumen required more than 5.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. Note- Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti-stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and noting extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same be submitted along with bills by the contractor. Thickness of BC laid over the existing Black top surface is to be adjusted in such a manner that camber of 2.5% is achieved. Any extra quantity over and above the quantity provided in the DNIT, required to achieve 2.5% camber shall be incidental to work. Note: Before laying BC on existing road surface, any existing pot holes and cracks over and above shall be repaired and sealed in accordance with clause No. 3004.2 and 3004.3. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in M.B. but no payment on this account shall be made, these are incidental to work.
Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5 mm thick (minimum) and other marking as per drawing and direction of Engineer in Charge with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint 10 cms wide (Centre line)/ 15 cm wide (edge line) complete in all respects as per the dimensions given in IRC 35, furnishing all labour, materials, tools, equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site conforming to the technical specification as clause No. 803 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge work (5th revision) of 2013/ latest edition . each container of the thermoplastic paint material shall have the name, trademark or other means of identification of manufacture, batch number, date of manufacture, color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian paint – Apemark/Berger-Sigmare/Prismo. The glass beads shall be of potters/ sovitec/ flexolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material showing all tests specified and shall certify that the material meets all requirements of the specifications. The reflextorizing Glass beads shall meet the requirements of clause – 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads. The method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS:3262 (part-3).
Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) double Moulded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. The height width and length shall not be exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm. On each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/- degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19+/-2 mm and height not less than 30+/- mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer (of reputed make such as Avery Dennison/3M)
