M&L for preparing black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism, providing, laying, spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and Vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) Job mix formula shall be approved by CWE. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Computerised print out of data of bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by contractor.

M&L for repairs to pot holes, not exc 1 square metre each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, on existing road surfaces, and making good applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4.5% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipping, depth of pot holes exc 30mm, complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by CWE.

M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4.5% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by CWE.

M&L for Thermo plastic road marking 2.0 mm thick painting (lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc on new or previously treated road surfaces) with road safety spikeries glass beads including preparation of new or previously treated road surfaces and applying paint by using special applicator machine with heating arrangement complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply & fixing road stud of size 110 x 128 x 30mm, two way reflective, aluminium alloy body, Red or Amber colour, complete all as specified and as directed including dismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken road stud of any type. Notes :- (i) Road Stud shall be of Model “DA 971’ of make ‘DARK EYE’ or equivalent of make GREENLITE / 3M / TATA BP / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez. (ii) Reflector shall be positioned at the best eye guiding level so that drivers shall be warned from a safe distance.

Supply & fixing road stud of size 100 x 100 x 18.5 mm, two way reflective, ABS body, Red or Amber colour, complete all as specified and as directed including dismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken road stud of any type. Notes :- (i) Road Stud shall be of Model “DA 978’ of make ‘DARK EYE’ or equivalent of make GREENLITE / 3M / TATA BP / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez. (ii) Reflector shall be positioned at the best eye guiding level so that drivers shall be warned from a safe distance.

M&L for preparing surface and filling Moorum / red bajri in road side berms or paving, laid in thickness not exc 15 cm, spread, levelled and rammed to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller including watering complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Moorum / red bajri shall be brought from outside MD Land.
