REPAIR/ MAINT OF JOINT FILLING, EPOXY TREATMENT PQC, PME, PAINTING AND CONNECTED ITEMS AT AF STN BIHTA

M&L for preparing of existing construction joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 10 to 15 mm wide and 25 mm deep including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air, application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minute and priming and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturer's recommendation, polyurethane sealant conforming with BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 (for hydrolysis/water resistant) with minimum movement accommodation factor +/- 30% with ten years performance guarantee and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the same after sealant is applied complete all as specified and directed. Note : Old unserviceable material so obtained from removing of existing filled up materials shall be disposed off out side MoD land

M&L for preparing of existing expansion joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 25 to 30 mm wide and 30 mm deep including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air, primed and providing suitable dia polyurethane back up rod or deboing strip and top 13 mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturer's recommendation, polyurethane sealant conforming with BS-5212 & BS-4254 and EN 141875-2003 (for hydrolysis/water resistant) priming the sides with minimum MAF + 30% with ten years performance guarantee and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the same after sealant is applied complete all as specified and directed. Note : Old unserviceable material so obtained from removing of existing filled up materials shall be disposed off out side MoD land.

M&L for repair to broken/damage portion of concrete slab or pavement by cutting damaged portion to slab/spoils edges to triangular or rectangular cross section with mechanical cutter and removing all loose and foreign materails and deposting the same to a distance exceeding 150 but not exceeding 250 m and cleaning the surface by compressed air to remove all dust dirt etc and washing with hydrochloric acid and filling with epoxy resin mortar after application of epoxy primer as per manufacture instructions bull nosing the edges complete all as specified and directed

Cutting of existing Runway/Taxi tracks at cracks and at spalled edges by mechanical tools making groove at edges cleaning through air blower/air blasting and applying propriety primer on the cleaned surfaces to obtain tack and finally filling ELASTOMERIC CONCRETE of make Choksey Chemicals/CIPY/BASF or equivalent(prepared by mixing part A, part B and adding fiberglass sand all as per manufactureres instructions) and properly mixing in purpose made mixer plant electrically operated) to obtain a homogenous mix and finally tooling the surface with hand tools to obtain a grooved textured finish. Note:-(i) The rate shall include for providing masking tape at joints and form work required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to include for making good the disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall only be procured directly from manufacturer. (iv) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator of Elastomeric concrete (v) Contractor shall be forward necessary accord testing documents and company guarrantee certificate (vi) The same above procedure will be followed accordingly item 1, 2 and 3 also

M&L for appyling one coat of runway road marking paint golden yellow or white color as approved aqua based to give uniform finish including preparation of old painted concrete surface of runway slab or taxi track or dispersal by washing down with soap water for apinting as lines, dashes, arrows, letters and the like exceedin 10 cm wodth or girth complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The contractor should proceed runway road marking paint machine accord with execution of work. (ii) The rate shall include for providing masking tape at sides and edges of runway road marking.

M&L for appyling one coat of runway road marking paint of colour as approved aqua based top give uniform finish including preparation of old painted concrete surface of runway slab or taxi track or dispersal by washing down with soap water for painting as lines, dashes, arrows, letters and the like exceedin 10 cm wodth or girth complete all as specified and directed. Note for Item No 5&6 : Masking tape shall be used on edges of paints before painting and removing the same after paint is applied where ever required and as directed. Note :- (i) The contractor should proceed runway road marking paint machine accord with execution of work. (ii) The rate shall include for providing masking tape at sides and edges of runway road marking.

S&F framed work as in doors or gates of angle or other section with gusset plates rails braces etc complete drilled for fixing of steel sheeting or other covering Doors etc to be prepared for hanging or sliding with and including either hooks and hinges or steel hanging door fittings (incl of steet sheeting or other coverings, running rails and guides) and hanging also fastenings fabrication pivot of rotatable landing tee(signal square) and fixing complete all as spefified and directed

M&L for preparation of new steel surfaces and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint (ordinary tint) of any description, over 10 cm in width or girth, not otherwise described over one coat of red oxide primer.

Removing of water based old paint of runway existing slabs by paint removers or burning off by blow lamps and cleaning with scrapers any number of coats any width or girth all as specified and as directed
