NOTES FOR DAY TO DAY MAINT OF E/M SERVICES AT SI LINES: - (i) The works/items given below are for attending day to day complaints (of int. electricfication, fans, geysers, etc) by deploying sufficient skilled trades men/materials and making functional the complaint. (ii) The quoted rate deems to include for all minor expenses required for making the complaint functional. (iii) The trades man shall report to E/M complaint cell SI Line daily at 8.30 am to take complaints from concren JE E/M. The complaint must be attended on same day in stuiplate time period by providing material required and by deploying sufficient manpower by the contractor. The complaint slip duly signed by the user shall be returned back at the complaint cell with proper feed back in the evening. (iv) The tradesman deployed for work shall wear proper uniform with full shirt and full pant with their names & contractors name on the uniform. Colour code of uniform will be decided by Engineer-in-charge. NOTES for Repair/maint of ceiling fan, exhaust fan, wall mounted fan and Misc E/M works: - (i) The quoted rate deems to include for all minor expenses required for making the complaint functional. (ii) Repairing/ rewinding of ceilling fan/ exhaust fan shall be carried out in the AGE E/M SI Line subdivision in present of concern JE E/M. (iii) Space/room will be provided by AGE E/M in the E/M yard for carring out repair work. (iv) Contractor staff will collect defective fans from concern JE E/M, check the fans after opening it, and intimate the defects in the fan to JE E/M before carring out the repairs. (v) The bearing of fan should be of NBC/SKF/FAG make only. No other make will be accepted.

Taking down ceiling / wall fan from fan hook and disconnection from ceiling rose, dismantling of fan parts i e. down rod and connector/condenser, nut bolts, split pins, rubber bush (garari), condenser carrier clip (PVC), in build connector two way, etc complete servicing by cleaning greasing/oiling in side surface of rotar by CTC with sand paper and repair and re - fitting / reassembling and making the fan fuctional and fixing the fan in position and testing complete all as specified and directed. Note: - Only rubber packing (garari) condenser, condenser carrier clip (PVC) in build connector two way shall be measured and paid separately.

Taking down exhaust fan and disconnection from ceiling rose, dismantling of fan parts i e. connector/ condenser, nut bolts, condenser carrier clip (PVC), in build connector two way, etc complete servicing by cleaning greasing/oiling in side surface of rotar by CTC with sand paper and repair and re - fitting / reassembling and making the fan fuctional and fixing the fan in position and testing complete all as specified and directed. Note: - Only rubber packing (garari) condenser, condenser carrier clip (PVC) in build connector two way shall be measured and paid separately.

Dismantling geyser of 25 ltrs capacity and of any description, M&L for cleaning and de-scaling the inner tank and other parts / accessories including inlet, outlet, overflow, geyser element, thermostat, U assembly etc. with brush & cleaning rods and using and circulating concentrated de-scaling solution mixed with water in suitable proportion till the complete deposits/scale is removed and approved by the Engineer-in-Charge, brazing for stopping the leakage of copper inner tank/ gas welding for stopping the leakage of inner steel tanks, fixing the serviceable parts in position, setting insulation properly as required, reassembling the complete geyser after cleaning, repairing and painting, fixing & installation of the geyser in position and its testing to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge complete all as specified and directed. NOTE:- (i) De-scaling chemical shall be concentrated HCL of make as approved by GE. (ii) Painting of Geysers shall be on requirement basis and shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of BOQ (iv) Old disturbed insulation shall be made good by the contractor with using old retrieved glass wool and additional quantity of glass wool for insulation, if any required, is deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate. M&L for preparation of old painted surface of LT PCC poles and painting strips in alternate from bottom to top with three strips of black synthetic paint and two strips of white fluoroscent paint ( upto 1.5 metre height ) through out the circumference of pole ( width of each strip shall be 30 cm) including marking pole numbers ina 20 cm dia yellow circle with number writing with black synthetic enamel paint including one coat of lime wash on PCC coping of pole complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for painting of steel tubular pole (swan neck type or straight type) upto 9 meter in height with cross arms, clamps of any length and shape for LT overhead line/ street light with two coats of alluminium paint after scratching out old paint, cleaning the existing surface rust free, preparation of the surface including marking pole no in a 20 cm dia yellow circle with number writing with black synthetic enamel paint and painting strips in alternate from bottom to top with three strips of black enamel paint and two strips of white fluoroscent paint( upto 1.5 m height ) throughout the circumference of pole ( width of each strip shall be 30 cm) , including one coat of lime wash on PCC coping including one coat of lime wash on pole complete all as specified and directed.
