| 1.10Notes : (a) The surface of both concrete / bitumen (rigid/flexible) shall not get any kind of damages during the process of rubber removal nor to any adjoining areas, joint filling etc. Damages made if any, shall be made good by the contractor without any extra cost complete all as specified and as directed. (b) Work shall be carried out in phase manner as per availability of runways for maintenance. (c) Total rubber should be removed and debris/water vacumed simultaneously leaving no FOD so that the runway is available for operation immediately. (d) The make machine to be deployed for runway rubber removal should have E-in-C's approval eg SH8000, SH5000, Sk3000 etc. (e) Rubber deposit debris should be in solid form when finally disposed. (f) In any emergency condition the machine should exit from the runway in less than two minutes without leaving FOD. (g) Friction should be carried out before and after rubber deposit removal operation. (h) After carrying out rubber removal operation on the runway, friction reading of the rubber removed segment should be minimum 0.55µ. | |||||||

| 3.00 | To carrying out friction test by British Pendulum Tester (Skid Resitance Testing machine) on Runway flexible/ rigid surfaces for determine the friction co-efficient value of the entire runway both sides of the centre line in certain distance as directed by user/MES authorities at quarterly around the year or as and when required. Test report will be submitted after taking of each job.
Notes :- (a) British Pendulum Number (BPN) measured as per ASTM:E303-83 and IRC 35-2015.
(b) Approx 30 points/BPN to be taken in each job per quarterly basis.
(c) Friction testing team must have a calibarated skid resistance testing machine with all assessories/spare pad etc.

(d) A performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified. (e) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess/wastage quantity of bitumen emulsion than that mentioned above is used, depending up on the surface to be treated.
