PART I : CIVIL WORKS

Earth work excavation over areas in all soils except soft and hard rocks and disposing off the surplus soil out side colony etc. complete all as per specification & as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge.

Plain cement concrete using graded stone aggregate of 20 mm max. size including consolidation, finishing, curing, cost of form work, shuttering, centring etc. at all levels and locations. Complete all as per specification & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Brick work in cement mortar 1:6 using well burnt locally available bricks of approved quality including raking out joints above ground level simultaneous pointing below ground level, curing, scaffolding,etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

a) In foundation & plinth, drain walls, chambers etc.

b) In super structure at all floors and levels.

Half brick masonry using well burnt locally available bricks of approved quality in cement mortar 1:4 at all floors and levels including RCC 1:2:4, 115 mm wide & 80 mm thick stiffeners at every one metre height with 2 nos. of 6 mm dia. M.S. rods including form work, scaffolding, raking out joints, curing, etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer- in -Charge.

a) In partition walls without stiffeners. Note for Brick masonry works: i) One brick wall thickness shall be considered as 230 mm and lesser wall thickness if any shall be made up to the required dimensions by the contractor in CM 1:4 to proper line, level and plumb without any extra cost to the Department. ii) The rate shall include cost of making the brick masonry to all geometrical shapes and sizes without any extra cost to the Department. iii) The contractor shall get approved the samples of bricks from the Engineer- in- Charge before procurement on large scale and shall maintain the same for the entire work. iv) Necessary openings, niches, cut-outs, wherever required as per drawings and asked for by the Engineer- in- Charge, shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost.

Random rubble masonry using spotless black trap or approved locally available stone in cement mortar 1:6 including raking out joints, scaffolding simultaneous flush pointing using through bond stones at every 900 mm in horizontal & vertical courses of each layer including AC pipe 50 mm dia weep hole at 1.5 m c/c in horizontal & in vertical, curing, scaffolding etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

a) In foundation & ground level up to plinth.

b) In super structure.

Random rubble masonry using available stone from demolition/ Deptt. supply in cement mortar 1:6 including raking out joints, scaffolding simultaneous flush pointing using through bond stones at every 900 mm in horizontal & vertical courses of each layer including AC pipe 50 mm dia weep hole at 3m c/c, curing, scaffolding, etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge. (Note: Rubble stone supplied by Deptt. free of cost)

a) In foundation & ground level up to plinth.

b) In super structure.

Providing & laying rubble stone soling using spotless stones of consolidated thickness as specified below with stones vertically hand set interstices packed with smaller stone chips, binding with murrum watering, consolidating & finishing to required levels etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

a) 150 mm thick (rubble stone supplied by Deptt.)

Providing 40/50 mm thick Indian patent stone flooring of following thicknesses at all floors & levels, in cement concrete 1:2:4 using graded stone aggregate of 10 mm max. size laid to proper level or slope in alternate bays in panels of required sizes finished smooth including providing glass dividing strips of size 25 x 3 mm wherever required, curing including removing carefully existing damaged/ worn out flooring and disposing off debris out side colony etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

a) 40 mm thick.

b) 50 mm thick.

Kotah stone flooring/ dado/ skirting at all floors & levels using 25 mm to 30 mm thick hand cut machine polished kotah stone slabs laid over cement mortar bedding as specified below, close jointed & pointed with matching slurry of cement finished to levels, slope or plumb, curing including removing carefully existing damaged/ worm out flooring and dado & disposing off debris out side colony etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

a) In flooring with cement mortar 1:4, 20 mm thick bedding and machine polishing after laying.

b) In dado/ skirting with 20 to 25 mm thick Kotah stone slabs laid over cement mortar 1:3 backing 12 mm thick with exposed edge machine cut and surfaces hand polished after laying.

Providing and laying of Kotah stone for stair treads with 3 line grooves and nosing at all floors & levels using 25 mm to 30 mm thick hand cut machine polished Kotah stone slabs laid over 1:4 cement mortar bedding including curing hand polishing removing old damaged/ worn out tread and disposing off debris out side colony etc. All complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Providing and laying of Kotah stone 25 mm thick risers of approved size and laid over 1:3 Cement moratr backing of 12 mm thick at all level and floors including cutting to required size, curing, removing of old damaged/ worn out risers and disposing off out side colony all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Providing & laying machine cut, machine polished Cuddapah stones/ Granite stone/ Marble stone as mentioned followings for kitchen platform vertical support/ shelves/ window cill etc. and including necessary cement mortar for backing/ bedding, close jointed and grouted with matching cement slurry and finished to line, slope, level, plumb, curing at all floors & levels etc. as required including cutting of stone slabs, wastage, making cut outs wherever required etc. all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

a) 18 mm thick machine cut and single side machine polished Baroda green marble stone for window cill in stepped form laid over 20 mm thick 1:4 cement mortar & overlapping of 20 mm shall be fixed with Araldite adhesive with best workmanship including half round moulding & polishing of exposed face etc. complete.

b) 18 mm thick machine cut and single side machine polished Baroda green marble stone for window jamb & bottom of lintel in single piece laid over 20 mm thick 1:4 cement mortar including half round moulding & polishing of exposed face etc. complete.

c) For kitchen platform top up to 750 mm wide and up to 1800 mm length in single piece consisting machine cut machine polished on one side, 35 mm thick Cuddapah stone at top and bottom fixed with 20 mm thick 1:4 cement mortar, between two stone slabs (Double stone slab sandwich type) including providing cut out if any, moulding and polishing the edges etc. complete.

d) For kitchen platform horizontal facia up to 100 mm wide machine cut machine polished on one side 25 mm thick Cuddapah stone fixed with epoxy resin base (Araldite adhesive or equivalent) including round moulding and polishing the edges etc. complete.

e) For horizontal beading of size 30 x16 mm machine cut machine polished cuddappa stone fixed with epoxy resin base (Araldite adhesive or equivalent) including round moulding and polishing the edges etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

f) For kitchen platform top, up to 750 mm wide and up to 1800 mm length in single piece consisting machine cut machine polished on one side 35 mm thick Cuddapah stone at bottom and mirror polished machine cut 18mm thick Jet black Granite stone at top fixed with 20 mm thick 1:4 cement mortar, between two stone slabs (Double stone slab sandwich type) including providing cut out if any, moulding and polishing the edges etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

g) For kitchen platform horizontal facia up to 100 mm wide machine cut machine polished on one side 18 mm thick Jet black Granite stone fixed with epoxy resin base (Araldite adhesive or equivalent) including round moulding and polishing the edges etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

h) For horizontal beading of size 30 x 16 mm machine cut machine polished Jet black Granite stone fixed with epoxy resin base (Araldite adhesive or equivalent) including round moulding and polishing the edges etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

18 mm thick machine cut and single side machine polished jet black/Rubi red/Steel grey granite stone for flooring, Kitchen top, window jamb & bottom of inlet in single piece laid over 20mm thick1:4 cement mortar including half round moulding & polishing of exposed face etc.complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Providing & laying glazed ceramic tiles in flooring/ dado using first quality approved make glazed tiles, to match with existing size & colour of M/s. Somani/ Pilkington/ Johnson/ Eastern Ceramics or approved equivalent over cement mortar bedding/ backing close jointed & pointed with matching colour cement slurry & finished to level, slope & plumb including cutting of tiles, curing, acid washing etc. including removing the existing floor/ dado & disposing off debris out side colony etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge. Note: Departrmental supply tiles shall be taken from DCSEM Store, at Anushaktinagar.

a) For flooring using 6 mm thick tile with 15 mm thick CM 1:4 backing.

b) For dado/ skirting using 6 mm thick tile with 15 mm thick cement mortar 1:3 backing.

C) For dado/skirting using departmental supply tiles.

Providing and fixing of machine cut and both side polished minimum 35 mm thick Cuddapah stone for shelves of cup board including removing of old damaged wooden shelves and making Nitches all the three sides of cup board very carefully and fixing Cuddapah with cement mortar and reinstating the surrounding as per existing including removing of old damaged shelves outside colony all as directed by Engineer- in- Charge.

Providing & fixing asbestos cement corrugated/ semi-corrugated/ plain/ curved sheets, 6 mm thick in roofing including all over-laps mitring, supplying and fixing necessary 'J' or 'L' hooks, bolts, nuts and bituminous and G.I. Washers as per manufacturers code of practice and cutting the asbestos sheets as required, scaffolding, etc. including removing existing damaged asbestos cement sheet and disposing off debris out side colony etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Providing and fixing second class teak wood in frames at all floor & level of required sections for doors, windows, ventilators, clear storey window, partition, railing, battens & rafters etc. wrought framed and fixed in position including providing and fixing M. S. hold fasts of size 200 x 30 x 3 mm embedded in concrete block of P.C.C. 1:3:6 and labour for fixing frame in position including applying one coat of approved wood primer, Putty & two coats of synthetic enamel paint to the exposed surfaces and two coats of bituminous paint to the surfaces of frames in contact with masonry concrete etc. including removing the old damaged frames and transporting to Deptt. Stores and making the adjacent plaster good to match with existing surfaces etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Repairs to the existing door & window frame, shutter of bath, W.C, bedroom, etc. by replacing part of the frame with 2nd class teak wood at site of work by: i) Cutting of damaged /decayed portion of the door frame without disturbing/removing of the existing frame. ii) Providing wood with 2nd class teak wood as per the existing frame for repairing of the damaged/ decayed portion of the frame including making lap joints for jointing the new wood with old wood work by fixing necessary screws and synthetic adhesive etc. complete. iii) Fixing the repaired door frame in position with embedding the frame up to 50 mm depth in the floor and fixing coach screws to the wall including breaking of the floor for making pocket, applying two coats of bituminous paint to the surfaces of frames in contact with masonry/ concrete, repairing floor with P.C.C. 1:2:4 finishing including one coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of primer on new work and one coat of synthetic enamel paint over entire surfaces of frame etc. & disposing off debris outside colony etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Providing & fixing approved quality block board & teak veneer of Anchor / Mysore/ Kit ply or equivalent approved make in following thickness including cutting to required sizes and fixing the same with necessary nails/ screws/ adhesives in partitions, cupboard & door shutter/shelves, kitchen cabinets, partition etc. at all floors & locations including, providing and fixing 6 mm thick teak wood beading to all exposed edges of block board including cost of nails, screws, adhesive, wastage in cutting, transportation etc. including cost of fixing the fittings, painting the surfaces with one coat of putty and two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer etc. including removing shutter/shelves and disposing off the un-serviceable material out side colony including wastage in cutting, transportation etc., complete all as directed by the the Engineer-in-Charge.

a) 19 mm thick block board shutter including providing & fixing S S Piano hinges 35mm wide.

b) 25 mm thick block board shelves.

c) 4 mm thick teak veneer for door and cupboard shutter with hand wood polish.

Providing and fixing C.P. teak wood moulded beading (architrave) of sizes 40 mm x 20 mm. around door & window frames at all floors & locations with necessary screws including two coats of painting with one coat of approved primer including cost of screws, wastages in cutting, transportation etc. including removing the old damaged beading and disposing the same complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Providing & fixing approved make marine plywood of 6 mm, 12 mm & 19 mm thick conforming to latest IS -710, for making / repairing of wooden cupboards/cabinet/partition etc. at all floors and levels, including cutting to required sizes and jointing and fixing the same with necessary screws, adhesives, all around 6-10mm thick bidding Patti etc. painting the surfaces with one coat of putty and two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer etc., disposing off the un-serviceable material out side colony including wastage in cutting, transportation etc.. complete all as directed by the the Engineer-in-Charge.

e) Providing and fixing 6mm thick toughen clear glass of M/S Triveni/ shree vallabh/ IAG/Modi guard/ Saint Gobin or other approved equivalent manufacture and fixing with Aluminium frame work (door/ window) including fixing aluminium channel beading and providing and fixing 2 way PVC gasketing to ensure water and air tightness and neoprene cushions/ gasket accommadated in grooves, necessary bronze anodised screws etc, all complete generally as per drawings specifications and as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Supplying & fixing in position the 30 mm and 35 mm thick solid core block board flush door shutters with commercial ply on both side conforming to IS with external type teak wood lipping of section 20 mm thick all-round, with/without 4 mm thick teak wood fixing shutters in position to pressed steel door frames/ wooden frames at all floors by cutting/ planning if necessary including supplying & fixing heavy duty 4''x1 1/2'' SS hinges including cost of fixing the fittings, painting the shutters all over with one coat of putty and two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved make & colour over one coat of approved primer / one side enamel paint and one side wood polish etc. including removing the old damaged shutter and transporting to Deptt. stores all as per specifications & as directed by Engineer- in- Charge. Providing and fixing in position 2nd class C.P. teak wood panelled door shutters of 35 mm thickness, styles, top & other rails 100 mm wide, lock and bottom rails 175 mm to 200 mm wide, with treated under vaccum pressure and kiln seasoned secondary species timber with insert panels of 12 mm thick marine plywood including supplying & fixing heavy duty SS hinges including painting the shutters all over with once coat of putty and two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved make & colour over one coat of approved primer etc. including cost of fixing the fittings, removing the old damaged shutter and transporting to Deptt. stores all as per specifications, & as directed by Engineer- in- Charge.

Supplying & fixing night latches of Godrej make,7 lever with triplicate keys to the existing main door at various floors and locations including removing the old night latch from its position, shifting the position of the night latch if necessary and pligging the portion if necessary for accommodating the new night latch, fixing unwanted holes and repairing of door shutter at night latch the new night latch at proper level, alignment and location with necessary screws, ensure proper functining,retruning the old fittings to the Deptt. Stores etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Supplying following type of miscellance fitting fixture and fastening of approved quality along with necessary CP Brass screws, bolts, nuts, washers and other standard accessories etc. Complete all as directed by the Engineer in Change. Note : A sample of each material listed above should be got approved by Engineer In charge before supply.

Anuvi Chemicals, Concure of M/s. Ultratech Cement Ltd or other approved equivalent make, having minimum composition of C:S :: 1:4 using fully treated dry, well graded natural sand conforming to IS 383 suitable for external plastering, having low rebound properties, low water demand for curing properties, mechanical mixing with water in a metallic tray only to make good consistency as per the specification of the Manufacturer and applied on internal wall and ceiling finished smooth with POP over brick walls or concrete surfaces at all floors and levels including adding water proofing compound at 2% by weight of cement for base coat, membrane curing by applying one coat of factory made curing compound Resikure of M/s. Anuvi Chemicals, Concure of M/s. Raised and cut cement pointing to stone work with cement mortar 1:3 including raking out joints, pointing neatly and finishing the joints as specified below including curing, scaffolding etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Pressure grouting through RCC slab/ brick masonry by drilling hole in RCC slab to required depth without causing any damaged to reinforcement, inserting ½” dia. PVC pipe in hole securing the hole sides with mortar 1:2, pressure grouting with cement slurry mixed with approved water proofing compound @ 2% by weight of cement to required pressure, continuing the pressure grouting till the flow of cement slurry stops, removing the PVC pipe, sealing the hole with cement mortar 1:1, scaffolding etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Distempering on old painted surface with two coats of synthetic oil bound distemper of approved shade and make over one coat of approved cement primer including preparing the surfaces removal of old paint if any, sand papering filling with approved make putty wherever required scaffolding including cleaning of floors, doors & windows etc. all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Repainting of old painted surfaces with two coats of acrylic emulsion paint of approved make & shade over two coats of approved primer (alkali resistant) consist of thoroughly scrapping oil bound distemper/ acrylic emulsion/ white wash surface, applying a coat of approved cement primer, filling up the cracks with approved crack filling compound, applying approved stucco putty to entire surface to fill up crevices, mild depression etc. thoroughly scrapping the surface, applying 2nd coat of approved cement primer carrying out full stucco putty work, applying two coats of acrylic emulsion paint including necessary covering material and removal of splashing & droppings from floors, walls including scaffolding, ladder as required & disposing off debris outside colony etc. complete all as directed by the the Engineer- in- Charge.

Repainting of old painted surfaces with two coats FLAT oil paint of approved shade and make over one coat of approved cement primer including thoroughly scrapping, removal of old paint if any, sand papering & preparing the surfaces, applying approved stucco putty to entire surface to fill up crevices mild depression etc. scaffolding including cleaning of floors, doors & windows etc. & disposing off debris outside colony etc. all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Repainting of old painted surfaces with two coats of Royal luxury emulsion paint of approved shade and make over two coats of approved cement primer which consist of thoroughly scrapping old painted surface, applying a coat of approved cement primer, filling up the cracks with approved crack filling compound, applying stucco putty to entire surface to fill up crevices, mild depression etc. thoroughly scrapping the surface, applying 2 coat of approved cement primer, carrying out putty work wherever required including necessary covering material and removal of splashing's & droppings from floors, walls including scaffolding, ladder as required etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Painting old wood/ steel work with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved shade & make over one coat of steel primer including preparing surfaces, filling with putty wherever required, scaffolding & cleaning etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

a) On wooden surfaces with two finishing coat.

b) On steel surfaces with two finishing coats over a coat of steel primer.

Applying three coats of Touch wood of approved make & tint to obtain finish as required over a coat of wood filler including sand papering, cleaning, filling up holes, cracks & crevices with putty etc. complete to give an uniform shade etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Cutting soling/ water bound macadam road portion etc. and stacking the serviceable material and disposing off unserviceable material out side colony etc. complete all as per specification & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Demolishing plain cement concrete or bituminous road by chiselling at all levels including scaffolding, disposal of materials out side colony etc. complete all as per specification & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.

Providing cement based waterproofing treatment to the sunken floor of water closets, bath rooms, nahanis, washing places etc. giving injections to the concrete surface as required with cement and approved waterproofing compound solution to fill all inherent holes, voids, honey-combs etc. in the concrete, applying waterproof plaster of about 25 mm thick for the floor areas of the depression and about 18 mm on the side walls of the depression and continue the vertical treatment on the walls above the proposed floor finish up to a height of 600 mm with surface suitable and even to receive tiles, including applying one coat of zycosil coating with ( 1 zycoil : 20 Water ) solution testing the treatment for water tightness by impounding water for 7 days etc. complete all as directed by the the Engineer- in- Charge. Note :- i) The contractor shall furnish guarantee bond on appropriate stamp paper in the proforma as per Appendix 'D' for the entire waterproofing treatment for maintaining the surroundings and under side surfaces of the waterproofing treatment in bone dry condition for 10 years. During the guarantee period the contractor shall attend all leakages, defects etc. if noticed, free of cost, starting the work of checking up and rectification within a week's time from the date of intimation about such leakages/ defects. ii) The measurement for payment shall be actual area covered by the treatment. iii) The waterproof brick bat coba filling coming over the waterproof plaster shall be measured in Cum separately and the cost of the same is not included in this item.

Labour charges only for carefully removal of all types of chokages at various floor/ levels from bath rooms, nahani trap, water closets, gully trap chambers, internal inspection chambers & drain pipes in service shafts of residential & non-residential buildings including cleaning the existing ACC & waste soil pipes, stone ware pipe, lead/ CP brass 'P' trap and bottle traps etc. of the above sanitary fixtures by the rodding or other suitable means like mechanical choke remover with KIWI Drainage chemicals, hand pumps and all other cost for incidental charges to complete the job, whenever found necessary, including thoroughly removing the dirt, sewer sludge and miscellaneous rubbish in and around the inspection chamber, gully trap & disposing off debris out side colony including washing the floor areas in service shafts with phenyl water all inclusive of labour, tools, phenyl etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.
