M&L for earthing complete with copper plate electrode of size 60cm x 60cm x 3.15 mm thick burried directly in ground vertically at a depth not less than 2.25 metre deep below normal ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level surrounded from all sides by 15 cm thick packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt, filling in alternate layer and electrode connections by using 20 X 3 MM size of copper strip by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers made of copper and protected by light grade 40 mm dia GI pipe connected to main switch board or main control board, and GI pipe light grade 20 mm bore for watering and including funnel, wire mesh, RCC pit cover and PCC chamber pit with PCC 1: 2: 4 type C2 including excavation and earth work, disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exc. 50 mtr all as specified and as shown on Plate No 3 of SSR Part I (2009)and Part II (2010) incl dismanteling of existing unserviceable earth pit complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: 1. The earh resistant value must be well below of 5 ohm irrespective to seasons and any unforeseen condition. 2. Earth should be free from stone. 3. Item includes the cost of GI pipe up to 7.5m for protection of earth wire,any variation in length beyond 7.50 m shall be measured separately. 4. Item includes cost of copper strip up to 7.5 m,any variation in length beyond 7.50 m shall be measured separately.

Supply & replacement of GI strip 32 mm x 6 mm with saddles and fixing screws on porcelain insulators for roof conductors and down conductors above from ground level complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply & replacement of precast RCC earrth pit cover for replacing broken/ unserviciceable pit cover with handle complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply & replacement of funnel alongwith wire mesh in replacement of missing/unserviceable item complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Cutting the existing GI tubing of 40 / 50 / 80 mm dia bore and screwing, including supply and fixing GI tee for taking out the branch connection suitable for 15 / 20 mm dia bore GI pipe including necessary earth work and excavation required as per site requirement, complete all as specified and directed by Engg-in-Charge.

Taking out garbage damped over existing earthing pits including clearing the site and making serviceable earth complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- Material required for making serviceable the earth pit will be measured and paid for against respective items.

M&L in replacement of Charcoal or coke powder and filling in layers all side of earth plate by 15cm thick packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt into earth chamber pit in adequate quantity to maintained earth resistance value as permissible limit complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L mixing of salt in water and pouring into existing earth chamber pit through funnel of water pipe in adequate quantity to maintained earth resistance value as permissible limit complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note :- Each earth pit wii be measured as one unit for the purpose of payment

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C2 using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate in foundation, including necessary form work and Fair finish to exposed surfaces without using extra cement, including old demoltion unserviceable concrete and disposal of concrete demolish materials complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
