M&L for (A) Surface Preparation: The substrate must be load-bearing, fine pored, and freefrom contamination and dust. Unevenness and ridges must be thoroughly eliminated. Surface voids or hollows greater than 5 mm which have not been closed off such as mortar pockets or defects are also to be repaired with mortar before application of screed. Furthermore, the surface should be free from gaping, cracks and adhesion inhibiting materials such as oil, paint, laitance and loose components. Thoroughly strip off laitance layers mechanically from the base slab back to a sound core, in order to ensure a high bond strength. As a vulnerable and sensitive area, the transition between the base slab and wall is to be pre-treated with suitable treatment. (B) Providing and installing FloArm Screed Eco of MYK Arment or admixure by sika/Fosroc or equivalent admixed 120 ml to 50 Kg Grey OPC 53 Grade cement, with a Cement/sand ratio in 1:5 v/v, and the sand should be 0-8mm as per sieve analysis recommendation which can be obtained on request & 40% gravel of 8 or 10 mm down according to DN 10452, Mixing with water @0.5 W/C Ratio by mechanical means, FloArm Screed Eco is a screed refining agent and additive, including installing level buttons, spreading the screed using straight edge, compacting at required thickness over the wet bonding slurry, continuing the day end joints or joints due to delay by applying bonding slurry, etc and complete as per manufacturer's specification.( make: MYKarment, fosroc, sika or equivalent)
M&L for (i) Surface preparation: The concrete substrate must be sound and of sufficient compressive strength (minimum 20 N/mm2) with a minimum pull off strength of 1.5 N/mm2 for durable and lasting flooring. The substrate must be level, clean, dry and free of all contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease etc. All previous floor coating if any must be mechanically removed to the maximum extent possible. It is acceptable to relay on floor coating that has a firm bond (pull out strength of 1.5N/mm2). Concrete substrates must be prepared mechanically using abrasive blast cleaning, scarifying or grinding equipment to remove cement laitance and achieve an open textured surface. Weak concrete must be re moved and surface defects such as blowholes and voids must be fully exposed.Repairs to the substrate, filling of blowholes/voids and surface leveling must be carried out using appropriate repair product. The concrete or screed substrate has to be primed or leveled in order to achieve an even surface. High spots must be removed by grinding. (ii) Providing and installing Myk Arment 6mm thick Polyurathene flooring using FloArm Top HPU 6 , 4 components with outstanding wearing properties self smoothing heavy duty polyurethane flooring, mixing 4 components by mechanical means, mixed screed FloArm Top HPU 6 (Thickness 4.0 mm) over completely dried coats of FloArm HPU Sc as Scratch coat etc spreading the mix using trowel, including surface roughening, groove cutting, cleaning, groove filling using FloArm Top HPU 6 allowing it to dry completely, etc and complete as per manufacturer's specification. The parameters for FloArm Top HPU 4 are as follows: Compressive strength (IS9162-1979) Approx. 53 N/mm² (BS6319) Tensile strength (IS9162-1979) Approx. 7 N/mm², Flexural strength (IS9162-1979) Approx. 12 N/mm², Adhesive pullout bond strength in N/mm² (ASTM D 4541-2002) > 1.5 N/mm² (concrete failure) Taber abrasion resistance (1000 g, 1000cycles) (ASTM D4060) weight loss, mg CS17 wheel: 125, H22 wheel 1500, Shore D Hardness 75 Slip resistance (under BS 8204: Part 2: 2002(9),wet and dry ) Satisfactory Impact resistance (under BS 8204: Part 1: 1999) Satisfactory Water absorption 0 ml, Surface spread of flame (BS 476: Part 7) Class 2 Foot traffic @ 30degC After 36 hrs, Light traffic @ 30degC After 48 hrs, Full traffic @ 30degC After 60 hrs, Full cure @ 30degC After 7 days( make: MYKarment, fosroc or equivalent) (iii) Providing and cleaning of pot holes with wire brush and cut the groove of damange portion and fill it with MYK ERM (Epoxy Repair Mortar) FloArm ERM is a three-component filled epoxy ( make: MYKarment, fosroc or equivalent)
Supply and apply of Resin mortar with the following properties: Solvent free High compressive and flexural strength High resistance to mechanical loadingRepair of Damage and Voids in Concrete:Apply FloArm ERM to the voids over the wet primer in one application, compact and strike off level with thesurface ( make: MYKarment, fosroc or equivalent)
