REPAIRS TO DUMMY/ EXPANSION JOINT FILLING AND MISC REPAIR IN DISPERSALS AFS UNDER GE (AF) JORHAT

M&L for racking out old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing dummy joints by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges, joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris, application two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pacing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 8mm dia for complete length of the joint over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30% complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for racking out old existing sealant compound and back up rod and filler board of the existing expansion joints by special tools like racker/cutting blades/machines, joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris application two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the filler board and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified, over it filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30mm dia for complete length of the joint finally filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30% complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for making good/repair to potholes in concrete slabs (exposed rigid pavement) by cutting area exceeding 50 sqm and 25mm to 35mm deep and cutting spilled joint, sides perpendicular and parallel to edges by mechanical tools like diamond cutter, cleaning with compressed air under pressure and filling with epoxy resin mortar in the ratio 1:5 (one part of epoxy and five parts of sand) after application of specified resin primer and removal of rubbish off to a distance exceeding 250m and not exceeding 500m and depositing where directed complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for making good/repair to potholes in concrete slabs (exposed rigid pavement) by cutting area exceeding 50 sqm and cutting spilled joint, sides perpendicular and parallel to edges by mechanical tools like diamond cutter, cleaning with compressed air under pressure and filling with Elastomeric compound concrete mixing proportion of concrete will be as per manufacturer instruction over one coat of primer and removal of rubbish off to a distance exceeding 250m and not exceeding 500m and depositing where directed complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation and cleaning of existing asphaltic / concrete surface with wire brushes, etc. and applying one coat of road marking paint (Aqua base) Golden Yellow/ Orange/Black for taxi lines, holding point, ORP, turn pad, dispersal, signal square, wind direction indicator base, letters, etc. with width or girth exceeding 100mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cleaning of existing cracks 6mm to 10mm wide and 50mm deep as in bituminous surface of runway, by blowing all loose/foreign particles with air compressor, removing rubbish off outside MoD land and filling the cracks with sealing compound Grade 'B' (IS-1834) and finish the top surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 'RUNPHALT' bitumen tubing/rope for filling of 5mm to 7mm width of cracks on the runway with the help of screwdriver pushing it inside the crack then applying direct flame 20-30 seconds through torch method after the complete filling crack. The crack shall be covered/sealed with 'SURE-BOND' instant runway crack sealing tape complete all as specified and as directed

M&L for 'RUNPHALT' bitumen tubing/ rope for filling of 7mm to 12.50mm width of cracks on the runway with the help of screwdriver pushing it inside the crack then applying direct flame 20-30 seconds through torch method after the complete filling crack. The crack shall be covered/sealed with 'SURE-BOND' instant runway crack sealing tape complete all as specified and as directed
