Taking out silt, liquid water sludge in solid/semi solid state / pumping out all mud sewage water from collection sump of size 5 M dia and 8 mtrs depth /Manholes STP tanks of any capacity and size and removing the same using truck mounted honey sucker of capacity minimum 4 cum and to dispose off the sludge to in low lying area at any distance during Sunday and holiday as per requirement, depositing the sludge in low laying area with covering by earth over it and leaving the collection sump clean etc. complete all as specified and directed.
(ii) De-watering by high pressure submersible pump.
(iii) Removal of sludge & sand from inside the tank scrubbing and washing side walls and bottom with bleaching powder solution and making surface free from any fungus, deposited stains using wire brush filling of cavities inside of tank with CM 1:2.
(iv) cleaning of walls , flooring and ceiling with special mechanized high pressure jet machines by high pressure jet pum 80-180 bar pressure , which dislodges the layer of dirt, algae, fungus stuck on its surface usage of scrubbing machines for old stains.
(v) Anti-Bacterial Treatment of Inside of the tank should be treated with specially developed 4 ft long ultraviolet Radiator to kill further floating bacteria/virus in order to make the tank totally clean, bacteria free and safe for storage of drinking water.
(vi) Cleaning and other operations as specified above should be executed by trained workers and technicians.
(vii) Cost of T&P like rods, bamboos, gum shoes and hand gloves etc complete.
(viii) Driver and operator must be in possession of a valid licence and confirm the serviceability of the Truck.
(ix) Removal of blockage of sewage lines up to one metre from collection sump including manholes by using necessary tools/ mechanically tools or manually such as passing rope knots, bamboo kamti and disc of required size including safety measures such as test for gas etc. before flushing the pipe well with water after removal of blockage of pipe complete all as specified and directed.
(x) Tank shall be made available for cleaning for a period of 8 hours only and contractor has to arrange sufficient labour/ T&P to complete the job with the given period only. or otherwise penality shall be imposed @ Rs 500/- per day.

Comprehensive maintenance /repair of sewage treatment plant capacity of 0.05 MLD, the plant comprising of the following :- Main collection tank of 30,000 ltr capacity, submersible sewage pump of capacity 7.5HP 3 phase 415V - 02 No, Non-clogging pump 1HP 3 phase 415V – 01 No, Aeration tank, Filter feed pump air blower 7.5HP 3 phase 415V – 01 No, Activated carbon filter tank with assembly – 01 No, hypo chloride dozing system – 01 No, Sand filter tank assembly – 01 No, Recirculation pump 3HP 3 phase 415V – 01 No, open well submersible pump 5HP 3 phase 415V – 01 No and other civil structures/ chambers, connected equipments, panels, cables etc.
(I) The parameters of input and output shall be maintained as under :-
(a) Inlet parameters :- (i) BOD - 250 - 275 mg/ltr (ii) COD - 400 - 550 mg/ltr (iii) TSS - 400 mg/ltr (iv) PH - 7 to 7.5 (v) Fecal Coliform - < 230
(b) Parameters for treated sewage effluent required are as :- (i) BOD - Less than or equal to 10 mg/ ltr (ii) COD - Less than or equal to 150 mg/ ltr (iii) TSS - < 30 mg/ltr (iv) PH - 7 to 8 (v) E coli - Less than or equal to 100 counts/ 100 ml (vi) Residual chlorine - > 0.5mg/ ltr (iv) DO (Dissolved oxygen level - 2 to 4 mg/ ltr in biological system to be maintained)
(II) The following daily maintenance to be carried out :- (a) Bar screen chamber should be cleaned every day to ensure that it’s not choked. (b) Cleaning of Oil & Grease trap. (c) Once in every two hours pumps should be changed between working and standby i.e, Sewage feed pump, blower and Filter feed pump. (d) Maintain disinfection liquid in chlorine dozing tank. (e) MGF and AGF back wash & rinse – Once in every 8 hours simultaneously. (f) Settling tank – Sludge should be disposed from settling tank to sludge drying bed. Once every 8 hours based on MLSS growth. (g) Monitoring and maintenance of log books periodically. (h) Treated water tank – chlorine content should be analysed to ensure that chlorine % is below 0.2 ppm. (j) MLSS growth – to be checked in aeration tank and equalization .
(III) The following weekly maintenance to be carried out :- A STP system is inspected weekly and the following points attended to :- i) Inspect Equalisation Tank/ Entry to system for blockages, plastics etc and remove. ii) Inspect Aerator and note biomass growth, recirculation and any malodour. iii) Inspect Secondary clarifier (Humus, Tank) and note visual appearance of final effluent and absence (or otherwise) of sludge build up. iv) Check the outlet of the system for blockage etc. v) Check grease trap empty and if required top up with clean cold water. vi) Grease the bearings
(IV) The following monthly maintenance to be carried out :- Aerator MUST BE SWITECHED OFF during monthly maintenance procedures. Refer weekly maintenance schedule and follow the below mentioned instructions. i) Check motor for overheating (by touch) and remove dust etc. from air fins. ii) Grease all bearings through nipples. iii) Grease all chain couplings through casing nipples. iv) Check oil level in gearbox and top up if necessary. v) Check sludge return system from Humus Tank for function. vi) Apply light lubricating oil in small quantities to locks and hinges. vii) Empty and clean out grease trap and fill with clean cold water
(V) The following items for routine maintenance shall be provided in plant :- (a) Liquid chlorine - 200 ltrs per month (b) Urea - 100 kg per month (c) DAB - 50 kg per month (d) Bio culture - 25 kg per month (e) Cow dung - 400 kg per month (f) Deforming chemical - 10 ltr per month (g) INDI foam 3000 - 15 ltr per month (h) Sercon 203 - 10 ltr per month
(VI) The following items shall be replaced as and when required or as directed by the Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Gaskets, Gland Packing. (b) O rings. (c) Drive belts for air blower and clarifier. (d) Minor electrical accessories viz Indication lamps, fuses etc. (e) Blades (f) Pasting materials (g) Consumables like gloves, safety jackets, helmets, respirators etc (h) Cleaning Chemicals, reagents, Lubricants etc.
(VII) The following tests shall be carried out and maintain the record of treated sewage as per frequency mentioned below :- Ser No Description of parameters Periodicity 1. PH Weekly 2. TSS Weekly 3. BOD Weekly 4. COD Weekly
(b) For technical support in comprehensive maintenance of STP, the contractor shall enter into MOU with any of the OEMs, mentioned in the tender. No additional payment on this account shall be made to the contractor by the department.
(c) The contractor shall ensure that the OEM shall be the one with whom MOU has been submitted prior to receipt of tender. However, in case the said OEM fails to perform his obligations as per MOU, the contractor may be allowed to get the technical support through any other OEM mentioned in the tender, after acceptance of tender with prior approval of Accepting Officer. However, in such cases, matter shall be taken up by the deptt with appropriate authority for disciplinary or other suitable action against the defaulting OEM. The contractor shall also be at liberty to take any action against such OEM. Contractor shall however be responsible for completion of the work under the contract strictly as per the terms and conditions of the contract agreement and no claim whatsoever on any account shall be entertained in this regard.
(d) Irrespective of the fact that MOU is signed by contractor with an OEM, contractor shall be fully responsible for overall performance and quality of treated water coming out after treatment.
(e) The comprehensive maintenance of STP plant of MBBR will be carried out through the OEM's personnel under the supervision of contractor and the Engineer-in-Charge. The OEM shall be responsible for all technical support for comprehensive maintenance and shall also be responsible for performance of the plant in terms of outlet parameters mentioned here-in-before.
(f) OEM or their authorised service centre shall employ round the clock one technician having sound knowledge in STP Plant to operate the plant, carryout water analysis checks through approved Laboratory and monitor the performance of the plant on a regular basis, interpret the results and suggest remedial measures in case of major deviations and one person for daily maintenance and cleaning of the plant.
(g) Visits of service Engineer of OEM at least once in every month and during break down or when urgently required for the Inspection, servicing repair, rectification of problem and submission of report.
(h) The maintenance supervisor shall be fully responsible for maintaining the STP in operational condition in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge.
(k) Repair/ replacement of any equipment/ machinery or part thereof provided under this contract shall be got done only from the manufacturer's authorised dealer/ OEM and record thereof shall be maintained.
(l) The contractor has to provide all consumable spares, oil & lubricants for greasing of various equipments, chemicals, consumables for electrical and mechanical plant & machinery.
(m) One month's consumables and required spares shall always be kept at site in advance.
(n) Major repairs/ overhauling etc. shall be notified to the GE immediately on occurrence. The cost of each part/ equipment replaced shall be deemed to be included in the unit rates quoted by the contractor. The rates quoted in BOQ shall be deemed to be included for all materials and labour reqd for comprehensive maintenance including repair/ replacement of all the component equipment for keeping the STP in operational condition.
(o) The entire treated water will be reutilised for arboriculture purpose/ flushing system of toilets. The quantity of treated water shall meet all the criteria given here in before.
(p) The contractor shall carry out various tests on treated sewage and record the same in registers duly signed by contractor's rep, JE and Engineer-in-Charge. The tests shall be carried out from Govt approved laboratories. Contractor shall also be at liberty to establish his own laboratories at site for same after prior approval of GE, however, GE can ask the contractor to get independent tests from Govt lab/ Govt Engineering colleges. The cost of above shall be deemed included in the rates quoted by contractor in BOQ.
(q) The Installation shall be frequently visited by the MES/ Air Force officers. It shall be contractor responsibility for proper upkeep of the area in a presentable state all the time. Surrounding area upto the fencing/ boundary of STP shall be kept clean and cleared of bushes/ shrubs and grass all the time to give a neat and clean appearance of the area.
(r) Registers of record of periodical maintenance carried out data wise for each equipment separately and the same shall be signed by both parties i.e authorise rep of contractor, JE and Engineer-in-Charge.
(s) Repair to system in case of break down (due to normal wear & tear) shall be rectified by the contractor within 24 hrs. In case of failure noticed more than 24 hrs, recovery shall be effected @ Rs. 500/- per hour beyond 24 hrs.

(xi) Check bearings for wear and tear and check holding down bolts for tightness. (xii) Check chain coupling and check bolts for tightness.
(IV) The following monthly maintenance to be carried out :- Aerator MUST BE SWITECHED OFF during monthly maintenance procedures. i) Check motor for overheating (by touch) and remove dust etc. from air fins. ii) Grease all bearings through nipples. iii) Grease all chain couplings through casing nipples. iv) Check oil level in gearbox and top up if necessary. v) Check sludge return system from Humus Tank for function. vi) Apply light lubricating oil in small quantities to locks and hinges. vii) Empty and clean out grease trap and fill with clean cold water. viii) Preparing and submitting monthly report on performance of the plant. ix) Sludge disposal outside the MD land atleast once in a month. x) Check and calibrate the instruments including on line monitor and submit report. xi) Check dozing pump and repair/service if necessary.
(V) The following items for routine maintenance shall be provided in plant :- (a) Liquid chlorine with suitable % of chlorine concentration as recommended by manufacturer - 350 ltrs per month (b) Urea - 250 kg per month (c) DAB - 200 kg per month (d) Bio culture - 60 kg per month (e) Cow dung - 500 kg per month (f) Deforming chemical - 30 ltr per month (g) INDI foam 3000 - 60 ltr per month (h) Sercon 203 - 45 ltr per month
(VI) The following items shall be replaced as and when required or as directed by the Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Gaskets, Gland Packing. (b) O rings. (c) Drive belts for air blower and clarifier. (d) Minor electrical accessories viz Indication lamps, fuses etc. (e) Blades (f) Pasting materials (g) Consumables like gloves, safety jackets, helmets, respirators etc (h) Cleaning Chemicals, reagents, Lubricants etc. (j) Contractor shall ensure the filter media particles are upto the level in ACF and MGF. If the quantity level reduces due to loss during filtration and back wash, the same should be toped up during routine maintenance.

(b) To provide technical support for comprehensive maintenance of STP, the contractor shall enter MOU with the OEMs. No additional payment on this account shall be made to the contractor by the department.
(c) Irrespective of the fact that MOU is signed by contractor with an OEM, contractor will be fully responsible for overall performance and quality of treated water coming out after treatment.
(d) The comprehensive maintenance of STP plant of MBBR will be carried out through authorised rep of the OEM's only under the supervision of contractor and the Engineer-in-Charge. The authorised service agency of OEM shall be responsible to provide all technical support for comprehensive maintenance and shall also be responsible for performance of the plant in terms of outlet parameters mentioned here-in-before.
(e) OEM or their authorised service centre shall employ round the clock minimum one technician having sound knowledge in STP Plant to operate the plant, carryout water analysis checks through approved Laboratory and monitor the performance of the plant on a regular basis, interpret the results and suggest remedial measures in case of major deviations and one person for daily maintenance and cleaning of the plant.
(f) Arrangement for testing of COD, BOD, TSS, Disolved Oxygen, PH values shall be done by the contractor for performance monitoring of parameters on a regular basis.
(g) Service Engineer of OEM shall visit at least once in every month and during break down or when urgently required for the Inspection, servicing repair, rectification of problem and submission of report.
(h) The contractor shall be fully responsible for maintaining the STP in operational condition in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge.
(k) Repair/ replacement of any equipment/ machinery or part thereof provided under this contract shall be got done only from the manufacturer's authorised dealer/ OEM and record there of shall be maintained.
(l) The contractor has to provide all consumable spares, oil & lubricants for greasing of various equipments, chemicals, consumables for electrical and mechanical plant & machinery.
(m) One month's consumables and required spares shall always be kept at site in advance.
(o) The entire treated water will be reutilised for arboriculture purpose/ flushing system of toilets. The quantity of treated water shall meet all the criteria given here in before.
(p) The contractor shall carry out various tests on treated sewage and record the same in registers duly signed by contractor's rep, JE and Engineer-in-Charge. The tests shall be carried out from Govt approved laboratories. Contractor shall also be at liberty to establish his own laboratories at site for same after prior approval of GE, however, GE can ask the contractor to get independent tests from Govt lab/ Govt Engineering colleges. The cost of above shall be deemed included in the rates quoted by contractor in BOQ.
(q) The Installation shall be frequently visited by the MES/ Air Force officers. It shall be contractor responsibility for proper upkeep of the area in a presentable state all the time. Surrounding area upto the fencing/ boundary of STP shall be kept clean and cleared of bushes/ shrubs and grass all the time to give a neat and clean appearance of the area.
(r) Registers of record of periodical maintenance carried out date wise for each equipment separately and the same shall be signed by both parties i.e authorise rep of contractor, JE and Engineer-in-Charge.
(s) Repair to system in case of break down (due to normal wear & tear) shall be rectified by the contractor within 24 hrs. In case of failure noticed more than 24 hrs, recovery shall be effected @ Rs. 500/- per hour beyond 24 hrs.

Note for item No 77 & 78 :- (a) (i) The contractor shall make AMC contract with the original manufacturer or authorised reputed service provider of firefighting systems and arrange their visit periodically as specified in the schedeule. (ii) The repairs/maintenance shall be carried out through the original manufacturers or authorised reputed service provider of fire fighting system only. (b) Checking oil level in diesel engine, top up if necessary and rectify leakages in system is the responsibility of the contractor. (c) Tightening of nut and bolts. (d) Checking of all electrical connections for the inproper tightness incl checking of charging alternator and battery clamps. (e) Supply and greasing in all grease points. (f) Checking all fire hydrants and ensure smooth function, if found leaking of water arrest the leakages. (g) Checking all pumps glands and if required to replace the gland packing rope. (h) Check all motors for its proper function, if any major defect it should be informed to Engr-in-charge in writing. (i) Test run of complete system is to be carried out once in a month in presence of MES & Air Force reps. (j) Check all pump pressure and maintain required pressure. (k) The rate quoted shall be deemed to include for carried out all repairs to fire fighting system noticed during the period by providing materials and labour. (l) Contractor is responsible to ensure presence of required water pressure in the system always as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (m) The hydrants are installed in scattered locations around 3 sqkm area, nothing extra will be allowed in this respect. (n) The contractor is liable to arrange the AMC team in any time on emergency.

(ii) The following Daily Maitnenace to be carried out in ultra filteration plant :- (a) Treated water (STP) chamber and foot valve should be cleaned every day to ensure that it’s not chocked (b) Cleaning of Oil & Grease trap. (c) Routine maintenace of the pumps ie., Treated water feed pump,Chemical wash feed pump, Filtered water feed pump including greasing and lubricating . (d) Maintain disinfection liqvid in Hcl , NaOH & NaOcl dozing system. (e) Cleaning chemical Back wash & rinse simultaneously. (f) Check pre- filters and cleaned properly. (g) Check air compressor oil level & tightening of belt, If necessary replace it. (h) Check auto level sensor and cleaned properly
(iii) The following weekly maintenance to be carried out in Ultra filteration plant:- (a) Inspect chemical dozing tanks and STP treated water tank & filtered water tank. (b) Grease all bearings. (c) Grease all chain couplings through casing nipples. (d) Drain gearbox oil and replace also check holding plate bolts. (e) Check shaft for wear and alignment. (f) Check bearings for wear and tear and check holding down bolts for tightness.
(iv) The following monthly Maintenace to be carried out in Ultra filteration plant :- (a) Check motor for overheating (by touch) and remove dust etc. from air fins. (b) Grease all bearings through nipples. (c) Grease all couplings through casing nipples. (d) Check oil level in Air compressor and top up if necessary. (e) Apply light lubricating oil in small quantities to locks and hinges (f) Check all comressed air release valves should be cleaned and oiled. (g) Check and calibrate the instruments including on line monitor and submit report (h) Check dozing pump and repair/service if necessary (j) Cleaning of all chemical back wash storage tank, Ultra filteration treated water tank on periodically
(v) The following items for routine maintenance shall be provided in the plant :- (a) Hypo - 45 Ltrs per month (b) HCL - 09 Ltrs per month (c) NaOH - 15 Ltrs per month (d) Membranes - 02 Nos per year (e) Lab chemicals - 01 Lot per month (f) Safety Gadgets (Gloves, Eye Glass, Helmets, Safety Jackets) as per requirements. (g) Cleaning Chemicals - 10 Ltrs.per month
(vi) The following items shall be replaced as and when required or as directed by the Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Gaskets, Gland Packing (b) O rings (c) Drive belts for air compressor (d) Minor electrical accessories viz Indication lamps, fuses etc. (e) Blades (f) Consumables respirators etc (g) Reagents, Lubricants etc (h) Pasting materials.
(i) The tenderer shall visit the site/ plant before quoting the tender.
(ii) The contractor shall made a MOU with the original manufacturer of the plant or their authorised service centre to undertake the comprehensive maintenance of Ultra Filtration Plant work within 7 days from the date of commencement of work. On this account no additional payment shall be made to the contractor by the department. The copy of the MOU shall be submitted to GE.
(iii) The comprehensive maintenance of filtration plant will be carried out through the OEM's personnel under the supervision of contractor and the Engineer-in-Charge. The OEM shall be responsible for all technical support for comprehensive maintenance and shall also be responsible for performance of the plant in terms of outlet parameters mentioned here-in-before.
(iv) OEM or their authorised service centre shall employ skilled and experienced one technician having sound knowledge in the Filtration Plant to operate the plant, carryout water analysis checks through approved Laboratory and monitor the performance of the pant on a regular basis, interpret the results and suggest remedial measures in case of major deviations and one person for daily maintenance and cleaning of the plant
(v) Visits of service Engineer of OEM at least once in every month and during break down or when urgently required for the Inspection, servicing repair, rectification of problem and submission of report.
(vi) The contractor shall be fully responsible for maintaining the plant in operational condition in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge.
(viii) Repair/ replacement of any equipment/ machinery or part thereof provided under this contract shall be got done only from the manufacturer's authorised dealer/ OEM and record thereof shall be maintained.
(ix) The contractor has to provide all consumable spares, oil & lubricants for greasing of various equipments, chemicals, consumables for electrical and mechanical plant & machinery.
(x) One month's consumables and required spares shall always be kept at site in advance.
(xi) Major repairs/ overhauling etc. shall be notified to the GE immediately on occurrence. The cost of each part/ equipment replaced shall be deemed to be included in the unit rates quoted by the contractor. The rates quoted for item shall be deemed to be included for all materials and labour reqd for comprehensive maintenance including repair/ replacement of all the component equipment for keeping the plant in operational condition.
(xii) Water Sample Analysis :- The quality sewage treated water supplied to tertiary filter and the quality of treated water after screen filter of COD, BOD, TSS, Turbidity, oil & Grease on monthly once tested in Approved Lab & test report submitted to Engineer-in-Charge.
(xiii) Provide periodic monthly summary reports to Engineer-in-Charge highlighting the performance, trends, identifying the problem areas and suggestions for improvement.
(xiv) Surface dressing & removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth up to 15 cm around 3 mtrs radious cleaning/ cutting the grass around the installation and removing the grass waster to outside MD.
(xv) Repair to system in case of break down (due to normal wear & tear) shall be rectified by the contractor within 24 hrs. In case of failure noticed more than 24 hrs, recovery shall be effected @ Rs. 500/- per hour beyond 24 hrs.
