REPAIR / REPLACEMENT OF EARTHING PITS, LIGHTENING ARRESTOR, FLAME PROOF FITTINGS AND OTHER MISC WORK UNDER GE (AF) SRINAGAR

Disconnecting of any type of earthing strips /earth wire leads of any size, any description and in any position from test point carefully and testing the earth resistance of any type of earthing with the help of digital earth tester of make WACO/or equivalent of suitable capacity maintaining record duly signed by users / JE E/M including carrying out periodical maintinance of joints of earthing strip, by opening, proper cleaning, rubbing the surface by sand paper/ file / tightening / replacement of nuts, bolts & washers of GI / brass and reconnecting of earthing strip/wire lead after test on original position, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE :- (i). The contractor will arrange digital Earth Tester, all T&P & accessories for recording the reading.Testing shall be done as per method shown and described in instruction booklet of manufacturer of digital earth resistance tester. (ii). The record of resistance value of each earthing alongwith date of testing shall be maintained. (iii) Contractor will get the testing of earthing in such a way that each earthing shall be tested & maintenance repeately untill total qty covered on the working days. Hence contractor is advice to quote the rate accordingly. (iv)Testing of earthing shall be paid as one unit per earthing.

M&L for reconditioning of high resistance earthing by watering in the earth pit through watering pipe mixed with common salt minimum 10 Kg for each earthing pit to improve the resistance and filled/dropped in earthing through de-watering pipe as per site condtion, de-watering pipe to be clean by means of appropriate size rod/steel wire, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The water for this purpose shall be supplied by the deptt at the nearest available source but contractor shall make his own arrangement for drawing water from approved source.

Labour only for repeair /maintenance of of existing tilted /embeded earth pit by digging not exceeding 3 feet deep around earth pit, filling by nearby soil & re-adjusting the earth pit in proper manner, complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting and taking up or down existing unserviceable / deshaped, aluminium / GI earth strip or taking down conductors of any size and in any position, stacking properly the serviceable strips for re-use in the work including making good the distrurbed surfaces to match with the existing surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs 40mm dia GI tubing, light grade, with all fittings fixed on walls / poles/ in trenches as in earth lead protection pipe, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs test point terminal block made out of Gun metal or phosphorous bronze of size 75 mmx75 mm x25 mm drilled and screwed including 03 Nos 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screws, complete all as specified and directed. Note : - The following items also included and rate to be quoted accordingly. (a) Taking up or down GI socket 40mm / reducer socket 50x 40mm bore including aluminium gutaka. (b) Fixing only GI socket 40mm bore , on vertical pipe post / stand. (c) Old retrieved GI socket obtained in serviceable condition shall be re-used in the work.

M&L in repairs of earth pit of internal size 300mmx300mmx300mm with wall thickness 100mm casting at site with and including PCC base 500x 500x100mm made of PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) with 40 x 40 x 6mm mild steel angle iron frame for cover, pre cast 40mm thick RCC cover of (1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate), rainforced with 8mm dia TMT bars 3 Nos both way with 12mm dia MS round bar handle etc. including removal of old broken unserviceable earth pit from site, complete all as specified and directed. Note : - Excavation, returning filling and removal of soil deemed included in quoted rate.

S&F in repairs earth pit cover, pre-cast RCC, 1:2:4, type B-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate), 320mm x 320mm x 40mm thick, cover reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bars 3 Nos both way with 12mm dia MS round bar handle with and including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed. Note : - Excavation, returning filling and removal of soil deemed included in quoted rate.

S&F in repairs GI funnel with wire mesh for watering the earth pit made to shape and size with using PGI sheet minimum 1.0mm thick and fixed in position, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs marker fabricated with 14 gauge MS sheet of size 300mmx180mm rectangular with 20 mm square hollow bar 60 cm long duly painted of colour as directed for writing ER value, date of testing and due date for testing, Earth pit No etc., complete all as specified and directed.
